 Travelers on a Croatia holiday may want to see a different side to Croatia's diverse Dalmatian coastline.The north Dalmatian coast has many undiscovered sites, according to one travel writer. Reporting in this week's Financial Times, Claire Wrathall says that some of these unique places are only reachable by boat. Those who have decided to go on a Croatia sailing holiday may be interested in seeing the "desolately beautiful" Kornati archipelago. It is composed of around 125 islets and reefs. Ms Wrathall writes: "Not much grows on these 140-odd pale karst isles and islets: only fragrant maquis, which fills the air with the scent of wild sage and oregano, and the odd holm oak or olive tree." As Croatia becomes increasingly popular as a holiday destination, intrepid travelers may want to make sure their experience of the country is as unique as possible. Holidaymakers can enjoy the tranquillity and peacefulness of life on these largely uninhabited isles, before returning to the social and tourist hub of Dubrovnik and Split.  |
