 If you've ever fantasised about a big American road trip, why not go for a cheaper alternative?A Croatia holiday is a great starting point to travelling elsewhere in Eastern Europe. Now that the eurozone is expensive for UK travellers, it may be worth exploring parts of this side of the continent by car. There is now a direct road connection between Zagreb and Ljubljana in Slovenia, Croatian Times has reported. Slovenia has now opened a 14.8 kilometre stretch of highway between Pluska and Hrastje that allows drivers to travel directly from Zagreb to the Slovenian city. This could be perfect for those who want to take advantage of how easy it is to travel across countries. Croatia can obviously be so distracting that you might not want to leave. While it is now a big tourist destination, there are still parts of it that are relatively undiscovered and could be ideal for the adventurer wanting to get off the beaten track. Alternatively, a Croatia cycling holiday could be perfect for those searching for a zero-carbon alternative for their road trip.  |
