Adriatic cruises and other Croatia holidays are proving a popular option among British travellers this summer,
new figures from a currency exchange firm suggest.International Currency Exchange (Ice) described the "non-euro hotspot" of Croatia as one of the "key summer destinations for 2010". The kuna is now the company's third most ordered currency, behind only the euro and US dollar and ahead of the Turkish lira, Bulgarian lev and Egyptian pound. Sterling's recent recovery on the exchange markets means that British consumers will be able to stretch their budget further in many destinations this year. Joanna Williams, head of marketing for Ice, said: "UK travellers are certainly getting more for their holiday money this summer." People planning a Croatia sailing holiday can acquire their kunas in advance to make sure they get the best exchange rates and do not have to pay commission fees. Adriatic cruise routes take in some of the region's most popular and exciting destinations, such as Split, Hvar and Korcula. ![]() |
