 The appeal of Croatia holidays for the rich and famous has been further emphasised this month, with a
host of well-known faces spotted taking breaks in the country.Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone enjoyed an Adriatic cruise and anchored his luxury yacht in the port of Trogir. He then paid a visit to a local market to buy some flowers for his 29-year-old girlfriend Fabiana Flosi, it was reported in tabloid newspaper 24 Sata. Another influential figure from the world of sport, FC Barcelona president Sandro Rosell, has also arrived in the country and is expected to spend a week in Split. The Croatian Times reported that Mr Rosell is rumoured to be meeting Josko Svagusa, president of local side Hajduk Split, to discuss a possible friendly match between the two teams next year. Sir Paul McCartney's ex-wife Heather Mills has also been spotted in the region recently, while Hollywood star Morgan Freeman visited Dubrovnik - a highly popular spot for Croatia sailing holidays - to attend a film festival.  |
