Our Green Sail Itinerary

Green Sail Cruise Destinations, Sail Croatia

Starting and finishing in the city of Split, our Green Sail cruise offers 7 days exploring the stunning coast of Croatia. Explore the beautiful Croatian coast as you work to clean the beaches and help keep tourism in Croatia sustainable.

Departure Day: 27th May, 2017
Check-in: 2PM
Departure Time: 3PM
Finish Time: 9AM the following Saturday
Note it is possible to finish on Friday evening as the yachts will dock in Split around 5pm

1Saturdays: SPLIT - BRAC

We commence sailing at 3pm and head towards the beautiful island of Brac. Here we will begin our cleanup process, doing just a small cleanup before you experience your first beautiful Croatian sunset and then onto dinner.

2Sundays: BRAC - VIS

Today we'll set sail for Vis, Croatia's most westerly island that contains an abundance of wartime history and until recently, was closed to tourism. Discover this fascinating island and understand the local Croatian way of life as it once was.

3Mondays: VIS - HVAR

Today we set sail from Vis and will stop for a swim stop along the way (weather permitting), before reaching Hvar. Hvar is the longest island in the Adriatic and is famous in Croatia for its super-yachts and celebrity status. Today we climb the hill to explore the 7th century fortress ruins overlooking the harbour whilst collecting rubbish along the way to clean up this protected Cultural Heritage area - the view from the fortress is worth the climb!

4Tuesdays: HVAR - STARI GRAD

We head to the small UNESCO World Heritage protected town of Stari Grad, where you have the opportunity to visit ‘Hora’, a local farm and vineyard and assist the owners with various farm and vineyard duties, before enjoying a relaxing afternoon of wine tasting.

5Wednesdays: STARI GRAD - JELSA

Today we'll have a leasurely sail around the cove to another part of Hvar island, Jelsa. Here we'll undertake cleaning the coastline as well as take some refreshing dips while we're at it!

6Thursdays: JELSA - MAKARSKA

We now head back to the mainland of Croatia, to the beautiful seaside town of Makarska. We'll head off out of the city and go on a small hike or canyoning adventure and clean up as we go. Makarska has a brilliant nightlife and beach life which you'll be sure to experience and enjoy.

From Makarska, the cruise will make its way back to Split, however we will join forces with the Cetina river rafting crew and help clean up this beautiful river as well as experience river rafting! We will meet the ship in Split later that afternoon for the last night of the cruise with a celebratory dinner at our partner restaurant!

8Saturdays: SPLIT

Early breakfast after which it is time to say goodbye to the crew and all your new friends! Disembark by 9am. Note: It is possible for you to leave as early as needed on Saturday morning to catch flights as the boats will be in port by Friday night.

Our Yachts

Our yachts are top of their class, all built within the last decade and sleeping eight passengers in four cabins. Each of those cabins will have either two single beds pushed side-by-side and bunk beds. Those four cabins open into a dining room/kitchen area. You'll also have two bathrooms on board with a shower. You'll be spending much of your time above deck, which has a rubber dinghy for reaching the shore from a buoy and plenty of room to lay out and enjoy the sun. Yachts all have two bathrooms and a kitchen where your tour manager and skipper will help you prepare your meals.

Our Experience

Sail around the Croatian islands on our 8 berth yachts and be part of our Flotilla yachting fleet. Our Green Sail Adventure adds a personal touch to the tour as our tours have both well trained skippers on each boat as well as tour managers whose aim is to make your tour as pleasant as possible. Our skippers are also happy to show you the ropes of the yacht allowing you to sail yourself! We visit beautiful remote locations in Croatia, as well as the hot destinations, giving you a dynamic overview of the stunning Croatian coastline. Join us in 2017 to help keep tourism in Croatia sustainable.
