To ensure these experiences are safe, enjoyable, and memorable, we are seeking a dedicated Marine Engineer to join our dynamic team in Split. This role is crucial for the seamless turnaround of our yachts during the peak season, contributing to the satisfaction of our guests.
Position Overview:As the Base Manager, you will be at the helm of our base operations, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our sailing charters. Your leadership and organizational skills will be key in ensuring that our guests have seamless and memorable journeys. If you are an experienced manager with a passion for sailing and a knack for hospitality, we want you on our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day operations of the base, including yacht maintenance, guest services, and staff management.
- Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest enjoys a memorable and safe sailing experience. Address guest concerns and provide assistance as needed.
- Staff Management: Lead, train, and mentor a team of base staff and guest service personnel.
- Logistics and Inventory: Oversee yacht allocation, provisioning, and inventory management. Ensure that all vessels are well-prepared for guest departures.
- Safety and Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and compliance with maritime regulations, ensuring the well-being of guests and staff.
- Financial Management: Manage base budget and expenses, optimizing resources for profitability.
- Marketing and Promotion: Collaborate with the marketing team to promote sailing charters and drive business growth.
- Customer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vessel owners, handling inquiries, feedback, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on base performance, including financials, guest feedback, and operational efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in a management role within the charter, hospitality, or maritime industry.
- Skipper license with experience sailing yachts
- Strong knowledge of sailing and maritime operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- Customer-focused mindset and a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant management software.
