Before embarking on Croatia sailing holidays next year, travellers who would like to learn about the country's artistic culture
can pay a visit to a new museum in the country's capital city, Zagreb. The Museum of Contemporary Art opened its doors at a new location on Dubrovnik Avenue last week, the Croatian Times reported. A number of artworks were unveiled to mark the opening of the institute, including Roller-Coaster by Carsten Holler and Eyes of Purification by Miroslaw Balka. Travellers can see what exhibitions are open at the museum next year by visiting Zagreb as part of a Croatia holiday. Some €55 million (£49 million) was invested in the development of the Museum of Contemporary Art, reportedly making it the largest cultural investment in the history of independent Croatia. Zagreb is located about 100 miles inland from some of the country's northern ports, including Opatija and Zadar. Croatia sailing holiday routes provide the opportunity to combine these locations with Split, Krk, Vodice and other popular destinations. ![]() |
