 Croatia holiday travellers may be interested in taking part in the Pannonian bicycle marathon which begins on June
26th.The Croatian Times has reported that the marathon will end in Ilok, the most eastern town of Croatia, after taking in eight counties across the country. Keen cyclists could find this is a great way to keep fit and see Croatia's diverse landscape. According to the paper, each county plans to hold events designed to showcase its unique features and tourist attractions. Travellers who are worried about missing out on good places will be able to pack in a huge amount in small time, by sampling several different towns. The four-day marathon ends on July 1st. After cycling, travellers might want to relax in the coastal cities of Split and Dubrovnik, which are ideal for more gentle and relaxing pursuits such as visiting historical monuments and taking in the arts.  |
