We were a group of 11 friends on the Queen Jelena Wines of Croatia cruise and had the trip of a lifetime! From the service, to the cleanliness of the boat, to the excursions, everything was flawless. Biggest shout out goes to our intrepid leader Ivan who was always organized and informative, and most importantly, put up with our antics. If we were to come back for another cruise, he would be our top request! And don't forget about the food! The breakfast buffet was always hot and filling. The three course meals were some of the best meals I had while traveling ever. Finally, the dining excursions included were such a delicious way to try traditional dishes. Sail Croatia truly does an exceptional job at customer service and tourism experiences. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

From the moment we stepped aboard, the staff demonstrated a level of attentiveness that truly set the tone for the entire journey. They worked incredibly hard, always with kindness and grace, striking the perfect balance of being friendly yet thoroughly professional. Dining on board felt like a fine restaurant experience that Pamela and Ella beautifully prepared and presented. Ivan was a standout—deeply knowledgeable, flexible with the schedule, well organized, and incredibly engaging. They all made each day feel thoughtfully curated, with just the right mix of fun and relaxation. One of the highlights for me were the swim stops, which were both refreshing and well-managed. I felt completely safe under both Josips and Chad’s supervision. Overall, the combination of attentive service, gourmet dining, engaging activities, delightful wine, and a caring, professional team made this wine cruise a truly memorable adventure. Meeting a mix of new friends from all over the world was a bonus.

I absolutely loved this trip! We did the Explorer Split Return on the Almissa. I'm an avid cruiser, but now I'm spoiled and hooked on small ship cruises! It was so nice to have swim stops each day and get to swim right off the bow of the boat in a beautiful cove! Since we overnighted in each port, we were able to enjoy our time there without worrying about getting back to the boat on time! We were docked in the harbor at each port and walking distance to dining, shops, and activities. Food was great and service was excellent. Our cruise director Vin was so friendly and helpful, giving us great tips and advice for each port. My bed was very comfortable and room was clean with good AC! I had an above deck cabin, so I was able to open my window for fresh air, which was very nice since it wasn't very hot during our end of Sept sailing. I would definitely recommend this company and would not hesitate to book another cruise with them if I have the opportunity to return to Croatia!

The guides and boat staff made my 6 day cycling tour from Dubrovnik to Split on the Princess Diana exceptional. -Josk0 (Jay) was the lead for the cycling component and he was exceptional. Josko was always concerned about our safety and satisfaction of our rides. He worked closely with the captain to make needed adjustments to the cycling route as we had 2 days of rain. The rides were amazing. - Anita was also involved with the ride planning and execution and she was an absolute treasure. Very knowledgeable about the history of our locations helping us to learn and being the sweep on the cycling outings. - Violet was an amazing hostess overseeing the bar and food layout. She was a pleasure to have on the tour. The food was quite good - amazing what the chef was able to produce....from salads to deserts! The ship was a bit dated - needing a bit of a facelift to ensure wifi access, that all lights in rooms working, access to hot water for shower throughout the day/evening.

We had an incredible experience with Sail Croatia! The cycle guides (Andro and Lovre) and boat crew (Lucia, Valentina, and all cooks and staff) were helpful, attentive to detail, and made us all feel right at home in a new country. We had a few weather shifts that meant we had to pivot the original itinerary a bit and I couldn't be more impressed with how they made that feel seamless for us passengers. We enjoyed the daily cycling routes and the food provided on the boat was outstanding, too. My only feedback would be to provide swimming towels (those are a pain to pack, let's be honest) and shower soap in the bathrooms! Thank you for an amazing trip!

I can't say enough good things about the crew on our sailing/bicycle trip in Croatia. From start to finish, they went above to make sure that everyone's needs were met. The logistics which could be challenging given the itinerary and size of the group were seemless. They balanced safety and professionalism with fun and enjoyment and personal connection perfectly. I have been on other guided trips and Ivan and Lucija are by far the best leaders -they truly brought the trip to life. Bruno and the rest of crew were all exceptional. Highly recommend!

The group of people were all unknowns when we started but soon clicked. We met so many great people and all got on so well together. The cruise was well planned and despite a day or two of windy conditions it went off without a hitch. The staff were were always friendly and happy and willing to help whenever possible.

Sail Croatia bike/sail trip was fun! It was well organized, with plenty of good food and drink, clean cabins, and especially excellent due to the outstanding crew! We felt safe and well taken care of. They went above and beyond making us comfortable and happy, especially by the leaders Ivan and Luci. The crew, which is responsible for the sailing/transportation of our group from destination to destination, were very good - trying to avoid rough waters, offering good meals (always a breakfast and usually a lunch and the occasional dinner). The cycling component was handled by a lead that planned the routes. Our lead tried to anticipate the abilities of our group, as we had a few non-electric bikers, and I appreciated him factoring the weather, cycling ability, terrain, topography and the ships ability with regards to docking/port authority schedules. By the end of our trip we ended up cycling: distance and total accumulated altitude climb, exceeded most trips of the season.. I believe that accommodations could have been made if our group was either over or under challenged.. Overall cycling Croatia was a great experience for us. We got to see Croatia in a unique way safely guided and well hosted.

So amazing to hear their takes on the history of the region and their love of their country. We had a great set up for the other couples that we were traveling with to enjoy time as a big group and break off into smaller groups.

The Croatian islands we visited were incredibly beautiful. Lucija and Ivan were a great team guiding our group. Bad weather delayed our departure from Dubrovnik but the crew adjusted the schedule to insure we visited every island in the itinerary.

It was a wonderful week in Croatia. Our guides, Luci and Ivan, were outstanding. They were both so warm and so knowledgeable about both the routes we biked and about the area we were visiting. The crew on the boat was also outstanding. They worked hard, were very responsive, and we felt like we were in excellent hands all week. I recommend Sail Croatia highly.

Our Sail Croatia guides, Lucy and Ivan are super people, friendly, knowledgeable and competent. They addressed every question and issue with ease. The boat, the Colombo, is well laid out and well maintained for our 30 guests, 2 guides and 5 crew. I have no complaints about the boat. The crew was friendly and efficient. The food was average/as expected for a boat with a limited galley. We did the bicycle tour, which gave us something to do each day when we got off the boat in a port . I think this was an ideal way to spend seven days visiting the Croatian Islands. The E Bike made Cycling accessible to anyone of any fitness. Overall I highly recommend this trip

Our group of 30 had a blast cycling through small villages and up to beautiful viewpoints, learning the history of the islands, dining by the water and relaxing on our boat. Our guides and crew were top notch, keeping things fun, informative and safe, even in spite of challenging wind and waves conditions. Wonderful!

Our tour guides, Ivan and Lucy, were fantastic! Ivan led the bike tours, keeping us safe and informed about the challenges of the daily routes, while never losing his sense of humor. Our group ranged from seasoned cyclists to relative newbies, and we rode a range of bicycles, but Ivan identified routes that were both challenging, but manageable, and incredibly scenic for all. Lucy complemented Ivan with her extensive knowledge of the history of each island we visited, leaving us all al little bit more enriched by the experience. She also gave us daily dining and touring recommendations, which allowed us to explore the islands a little bit on our own. They were the dynamic duo, for sure!

The food variety/cooking quality. While the rides were spectacular and the guides entertaining and informed, I found the meat and fish generally overcooked and bland. The fresh fruit and salads were enjoyed - but more of the soups would be good as well The breakfasts could be improved with less repetition. I was also surprised at the minimal seafood offerings, given the location.

Our guides, Ivan and Lucijla, were extremely professional. They were super informative, cheerful, accommodating, safety-conscious, efficient, flexible, and encouraging to all of us. Clearly, they were very experienced and committed guides. Plus, they each had a great sense of humor and kept us positive throughout the trip, even the challenging rides. The captain was expert at adapting to weather conditions so we got to experience all the rides that were planned. The crew was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely use them again.

Excited about the boat Aphrodite, it did not disappoint. Clean, tidy and comfortable. Plenty of room. Great introduction with the staff. Any fears of sharing our holiday with a number of unknown people were soon dismissed. We were so fortunate that we had such a good group. The cycling guides, helpful , informative and entered into the spirit of holiday. WhatsApp group for passing information and morning meetings worked well. The bicycles are good quality and surprisingly no punctures.. At times the group seemed to large and we seemed rushed and to be cycling to a schedule. Thoroughly recommend the combination of travelling by boat and cycling the best way to enjoy the Dalmatian coast. The scenery was stunning, weather was perfect for us in mid September. Opportunities to swim from beaches and of the boat was perfect, enjoyed the food on the boat and we all came together to eat at meal times. Most memorable experience and booked again with SailCroatia for 2027….

The captain and crew were great. The boat was clean and well kept. We did have some difficulty with enough hot water for showers, but resolved with timing. The guides were excellent. Cheerful, enthusiastic and professional. The food was the reason for the four stars, and maybe I’m being unfair. The cook prepared meals for 31 guests in a broom closet size space and the budget was probably pretty tight. The food was plentiful and had good variety. The only complaint I had, was that the meat was consistently overcooked, especially the fish. It certainly wouldn’t discourage me from booking another trip with this company, or this crew.

Our guides Josko and Anita were awesome. There were several obstacles put in their way due to weather and they did a great job to adjust when needed. The crew on the boat was also great. The captain had to also make changes when obstacles were presented. The food was excellent! The only issue was the wifi on the boat, Princess Diana. The wifi was rarely available. Luckily, boats park side by side at the ports, so we could hop on the wifi of other boats. Cycling through the Croatian islands was excellent, a great way to see the country. I'd do the tour again anyday.

This was an awesome way to see the beautiful islands of Croatia by land and by sea. Not being an avid bike rider, I was skeptical about enjoying the rides. The e-bikes and wonderful guides (Borna and Marin) put me at ease and made this a truly unique and memorable vacation. We also very much appreciated the wonderful service from Marko and enjoyed the meals. If you are looking for a fancy boating experience, this isn’t for you. Accommodations are very basic and the boat lacks inviting spaces for relaxing. The biggest disappointment was the boat’s bar selection and not being stocked with what they normally would offer., since this was the last journey of the season for our boat, Ice was rarely available.

Our bike tour guides, Marin and Borna, were absolutely outstanding — knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about the regions we explored. Their local insights, humor, and attention to detail made every ride not just scenic but meaningful. They were the true highlight of this trip and the main reason our cycling adventure was such a success. The boat Dionis was functional and served its purpose as our floating base for the week. While it’s not the most luxurious vessel in the fleet, it provided what we needed for a comfortable journey between islands. The crew was generally accommodating, though the captain’s early departure push on the final morning — moving the checkout time from 9:00 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. — felt a bit rushed and left us scrambling to wrap things up. Overall, the experience was memorable and well organized, thanks in large part to Marin and Borna, who turned a good trip into a great one.

We did the Explorer trip early October '25, so the towns visited were not as busy as peak season, which was great. Interactions with Sail Croatia ahead of the trip were clear, concise and quick (I would recommend sending guests a pdf or e-mail itinerary ahead of departure). The cabins were sufficient for a week's travel, the included lunch and breakfast perfect and crew and tour manager Nikos all very helpful. Additional excursions were suggested and organised where required. The only disappointment was that we couldn't do a swim stop during any of the days due to the windy weather. One could swim at the towns, though. Just to note, Croatia along the coast has become expensive for anyone that might be travelling on a budget, but all in all the trip was well worth it. The towns and natural surrounds exceeded all expectations and experiencing it on a small cruise boat (36 guests) is highly recommended.

The food on board was delicious! The weather was superb which allowed us to look forward to each and every swim stop. Loved all the islands we visited. Our cruise director Anita was the absolute best. Always keeping us informed ahead of time on what to expect at each island and ideas on where explore, what activities to possibly participate in and amazing selection of restaurant choices. She was always quick to answer questions, make reservations and assist with any problems anyone had. What a kind beautiful person who clearly loves what she does. We have raved about our holiday and our Sail Croatia experience. What an incredible way to meet people from around the world, explore the many regions of Croatia. Swimming in the Adriatic Sea was a favourite part, one we looked forward to daily. Loved loved loved this vacation ❤️

The experience onboard Katarina was personable, and fun, The crew knew us by name almost immediately. They were attentive, caring, easy going, fun and kind. The boat was well laid out, and when we were able, the swim stops were a highlight. The Captains dinner was an opportunity for us to celebrate our time on the water, and it did not disappoint. Ivan hired a live band, and we danced through each course at dinner, through until the end!

We enjoyed our travel of the Croatian islands with Sail Croatia. Ioana made the experience great ! She has given reliable information and realistic expectations of the activities every day. We made so many friends which added value to the experience itself! Food is great ! The cabin was spacious and clean. Dino, our tour manager was lovely and very responsive to our questions and requests. He often responded within a minute and was already taking action on our request. He was very knowledgeable about each location and gave us a daily briefing. The ship was beautiful and the staff friendly. Due to rough seas the itinerary had to be changed and we did not visit Vis, but instead went to Omiš, which was a lovely town with stunning landscapes and some exciting excursion options! They handled the itinerary changes gracefully and seamlessly. I've deducted one star as there were a few quirks along the way that could have made the stay more pleasant: The ship has AC, but only when the AC is turned on as a whole, so for the first couple nights and the last night our room was a nearly unbearable 77-80°F at night, there were a couple days where housekeeping came into the room, but the room was only partially done, like 1 out of 3 beds done. All in all it was an enjoyable experience though!

Traveling with Sail Croatia was an experience that was more than " just a cruise" where you are one of hundreds or thousands on a massive ship. It wasn't perfect, but I look back on the friendships we made, the cozy feel of the ship and I'm left with special memories of our time on the Adriatic. When we arrived in Split and were faced with two massive cruise ships at port, I was so thankful for the choice we made. Dino, our cruise director, was a very relatable, friendly guy who responded quickly with our questions. The crew were all very nice! I rated it 4/5 mainly because of a few issues such as ventilation in the cabin that made it uncomfortable for a few days. Otherwise, it would be 5/5!

We just finished this 7 day cruise Split to Dubrovnik. Stormy weather on Day 1 forced some itinerary changes but the sun soon came out and all was plain sailing. Visited Hvar Korcula Mljet Sipan and Dubrovnik. Relaxed mornings with swim stops in isolated coves, 3 course delicious meals at lunch. In the afternoon and evening wine tasting and on shore dinners. We learnt a lot about Croatian wines and local life on the islands. Friendly crew , personable host Vin and the wonderful chef made for a very pleasant cruise.. Our upper deck accommodation was clean and comfortable. We'd recommend this cruise, suitable for 40s to 80s!

For starters, our guide Ivan was best in class. And the captain and crew were helpful and really good all week. Thoughtful, much attention to detail. We did the wine tour which was lots of fun. Attractions were beautiful. Highly recommend the biking through the national park. On some guided trips you can be programmed to death - this one was just right. Lots of options and guidance on what to do and really good pace for a holiday. There was one moment on the trip when the bus didn't arrive as planned - Ivan had vans show up as a back up plan almost immediately. Felt so comfortable on the trip as he and the crew were just on top of everything. It was my first cruise and it exceeded all expectations from the boat itself to the comfort of the rooms to the food & drink to the quality of service. And Croatia is absolutely stunning. Highly recommend. Thank you Ivan, Captain, and crew on the Queen Jelena!

We are not cruise people, but our time on the Queen Jelena far exceeded our expectations. Ivan, our cruise director was very friendly, informative and helpful. Pamela always had a smile on her face and Ella and the Josips were like magic working behind the scenes making everything clean, comfortable while Captain Gordon kept us safe and sound and found the best swim spots. The kitchen was a standout as the meals were delicious and always elegantly presented which was a plus. The swim spots and wine tastings were great but the highlight for us was the professionalism of Ivan, Pamela and the rest of the crew which made this cruise one of the best vacations we have ever had. Sailing every day to a different island was a wonderful introduction to the history past and present of Croatia. Sail Croatia selected great swim spots as well as interesting islands to explore. The food on and off the boat was delicious . The crew and guide were outstanding

The sights were incredible, the crew was attentive and kind, the food was delicious. I never felt rushed or crowded on this trip. The Sail Croatia trip is small enough (about 30 people) to be personal. The organsiation has the experience to know what works for a group. We had 7 nights on board. We were cycling every day in a range of beautiful islands with time also to relax and explore the environment and local treats. The tour guides were friendly, organised and professional. It was fabulous having 7 nights without having to transfer accommodation as we hopped from island to island. We had fun with everyone on board and received fresh meals. At night we could eat locally on shore and there were options like wine tasting easily accessible to the boat. We had seven weeks holiday and this week was a highlight.

Everything about the e-cycling/sailing trip was a wow. The sights, the bike, the people, the food. It was all fantastic. Croatia is a stunning country-and very hilly. The e-bikes worked perfectly, for an occasional cycler, I had no problems and didn't mind the hills at all. We had some weather to contend with and the crew pivoted quickly and very professionally. Finding last minute ports, bike rides and great experiences and places to dine. We stayed above deck and would recommend that. Also got bike shorts and glad we did, we were comfy all week long. If you are thinking about this, just do it. It was an unforgettable experience.
