We had a great week cycling round Croatia’s islands. Tour guides Ivica and Anita were superb. Ships crew were all great. Itinerary was excellent, cycling in the morning, navigating to a new island in the afternoon then exploring new ports. Bikes were fine, better than expected. Cabins and food on board were ok, although understandably not luxurious. Recommend getting e-bikes because Croatia is hilly.

A great way to see so much of the islands and ports at a leisurely pace. A wonderful blend of activity, moderate exercise, (if on an e-bike!), and relaxation. Plenty of opportunity to explore places on your own and enjoy dining at local restaurants. Ship’s crew and tour guides were very professional, friendly and really helped maximise the whole experience. The ship’s cabins are compact so don’t bring too much stuff. Everything on board was clean and well maintained with really good food. The crew and guides take great pride in the ship and country. Can’t wait to do another trip.

Our guides, Dora, Josip and “J” were outstanding. They were accommodating, gracious, fun and worked very hard to be sure all passengers were safe and had a good time. The excursions were well planned and they always built in extra time for us to do what we want.

The views from the ship and cabin were incredible as were the crew and people aboard!!! We sailed during the day for a few hours at a slow pace allowing us to enjoy the breathtaking scenery. At night, we were able to explore each of the ports on our own or join in group dinners or activities. It was the perfect mix. Can't wait to go on next cruise with Sail Croatia.

Wonderful crew and the experience suited all levels of fitness with challenges for those who wanted it and easy riding for those who didn’t. Service on board the ship was great and the cabin was spacious and comfortable. Plenty of time to explore the islands after riding. Bike riding gave a great opportunity to see more of the islands. Everything was very well organised.The boat crew were friendly and made sure we were comfortable. The tour guides Ivica and Anita were fantastic. Ivica went out of his way to give us better and more bike riding experiences while ensuring we were safe from strong winds etc by changing the itinerary to suit. Anita was very knowledgeable about local sites. All the crew were very cohesive and jolly, the food was great and plentiful and we had a wonderful experience. Their love for their job and their beautiful country shines through. We'll be back !

The guides and crew on our trip made for a perfect week on Emanuel. Tonka and Lucy were wonderful guides. Very informative at each daily briefing, and then throughout the rides they made sure everyone always knew what was ahead. The routes chosen were fun with gorgeous scenery. Our food in the ship was very good. Service was great. All in all fabulous week in the Croatian islands.

The staff were superb! Our bike guides, Josef and Jay, were experienced and made sure we saw all the sites while staying safe as we bicycled around the various islands. The scenery was breathtaking! And the water is so clear. Even though it is early in the season and the water was cold, we still enjoyed the swim stops. Food was excellent and the cook and waiters accommodated my lactose free diet. We had breakfast and lunch on the ship and dinners were generally in the small towns. Rooms are small but there are plenty of places on the ship to hang out. Such a fun trip!

Many aspects: Being early in season we had it all to ourselves. Our small group of 14 made it very fun and social. The boat was clean and well maintained and the crew knew their business. Breakfasts and lunches were good in fact overtop. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. Our hiking guides were gracious and knowledgeable. Everything was smooth and organized. My only issue was WiFi/internet access wa spotty at best.

The crew our tour representative Vicko the personal touch. We only had 16 guests on our boat. The food was 👏 amazing. I loved all the islands and villages we visited. Vicko recommended certain trips and each one was a great experience. Vicko energy and knowledge and enthusiasm was brilliant. I have been recommending sail Croatia to all my friends and family. It was a truly memorable 40th anniversary trip. We will most definitely sail with sail Croatia again. Do more islands. Wish I was back on board now. We also made new friends who since we left have been messaging which is lovely. This is because it was a small intimate group and vicko encouraged mixing together at breakfast and lunch. I loved when we all hired bikes and cycled together around the national park. Well done to our captain the crew and our amazing tour guide Vicko. I hope to meet you all again. My husband and I did the Bike and Boat Southern Route May 1-11, 2025. I can't say enough good things about this trip, from the crew; the outstanding organization of the biking from storing the bikes, fitting the bikes, loading and unloading the bikes (wait until you see how they do it!); and most of all, the rides (even coming down from one summit in the pouring rain). Our guides, Miranda and Lucija, were outstanding. Personable, patient, knowledgeable, strong riders. Great food as well. Cabins were simple but quite serviceable. And Croatia! What a gorgeous, fascinating country. Take any bike and boat tour with Sail Croatia and you won't be disappointed.

I was initially undecided about doing a group sailing trip, but am very glad I did. Klara and the Almissa team did a fantastic job making sure we were looked after, fed, and entertained. The Stari Grad wine tasting and morning swim stops were the highlights. Klara went out of her way to ensure we knew exactly what was happening when, and you never felt it was a nuisance asking for help. There was a good mix of ages and mostly Australians, Kiwis & Americans in the group. Would recommend.

Thankyou for making my first cruise and first cycle tour such a wonderful memorable experience! Onboard service was fantastic-crew are friendly and helpful. Special mention to chef who cooked up the most delicious (albeit oversized portions) every day. Cycle guides were fantastic - making sure everyone had a safe, enjoyable ride each day. Each ride was perfectly paced with adequate rest stops along the way. My only criticism (and it's an admin one which is why the overall trip still gets 5 stars) is the info provided with regards to tipping. In the pre-departure info tipping is suggested at $40-$105. I expected this was for the crew and guides combined. However when we received the 2 envelopes, the attached note stated that expected tip per guest is $105 for the crew only. A separate envelope was provided for the guides tips! I was not the only guest surprised by this as others expressed the same and the impact this had on travel budgets. This should have been clearly communicated.

It was great to be part of a small group of travellers who all had similar interests and spoke English as our first language. I like how breakfast and lunch were provided. The food was well prepared and fresh. It was also nice to have the bar option. The room was a good size and the daily room cleaning service was appreciated. It would have been nice to have a laundry service. Another trip we recently took offered one small load of laundry for the week. I also appreciated the swimming stops. I noticed the other boats around us had snorkels and fins and SUP boards. That would have been great too. Inflatable SUP boards don’t take up any room. Overall a great experience.

Our two bike guides were the best! Each day the trips were challenging but fun! Having an e bike made the uphill climbs manageable. Touring a different island each day and having the crew get the bikes off and back on the boat made it convenient. The food was good and the crew were great. I’d take another Sail Croatia trip again.

We had a wonderful time on the Split to Dubrovnik Sail Croatia bike tour.! Sanja and H took us on daily delightful bike rides explaining the history and uniqueness of each island we visited. The crew kept the ship spotless and were attentive to our every need. Our meals were delicious and went far beyond the usual fare. We really enjoyed getting to know our crew and fellow participants!

First was the team supporting us. Sonja and Hrvoje did a great job leading (and following) the bike ride. They provided a nice route and lots of information about each island. Plus good suggestions for where to get dinner and explore. Andrea made each meal a real pleasure. His attention to our needs was top notch. He and our cook provide food that tastes great, was got and freshly served. Our crew was friendly, curtious and always helpful. They worked so hard and made our ship clean and beautiful. Finally, the captain shows us amazing skill as he parked the so or took of for our next destination. A true master! Sail Croatia is a fantastic your organization and everything from our state rooms to our food to our last day party provided memories to be charged. I highly recommend you sail with them on your next Adriatic vacation.

Our Sail Croatia cycle cruise from Split to Dubrovnik was perfect. Cruising along the breathtaking Dalmatian Coast was an absolute delight — we were even treated to a magical moment when a dolphin played in the pressure wave at the bow of our ship! Each island we visited offered a glimpse into the region’s rich history and culture. Our mornings were active and invigorating, filled with cycling, swimming, and walking, while the afternoons and evenings had a slower pace. We enjoyed leisurely strolls through the narrow streets of ancient walled cities, or relaxed on sun loungers on the deck of the ship, While we made wonderful new friends among our fellow passengers, there was also plenty of quality "us time" for my wife and me to relax and connect in these stunning surroundings. The crew and guides were exceptional — warm, welcoming, and highly professional, ensuring everything ran smoothly while making us feel at home. As far as holidays go, this experience was simply perfect!

The crew, guides & boat were fabulous. The pictureques coastline & islands we visitied were asolutely amazing. A fun & engaging time was had with fellow travellers who were from Australia, Canada & USA. The onboard catering was excellent although not sure we needed dessert after every meal. A bowl of fresh fruit would have sufficed. As an Aussie coffee lover, the machine coffee & its cost made be worth some tweaking. A barista style coffee machine would be the only improvement I could recommend on our cruise.

A fantastic holiday around the beautiful Croatian islands with Sail Croatia. The e-bikes made the island tours relaxing and the routes were well thought out with plenty to see along the way, with our excellent guides explaining everything before, during and afterwards. Back onboard, we were well looked after by the crew and staff, who could not do enough to make the holiday extremely enjoyable.

We had a lovely friendly welcome aboard the ship Afrodita from Sanja and Hrvoje who were super guides throughout our visit. Both guides were very knowledgeable and had plenty stories to tell on our journey. Andre, our on board host, what can I say...he was superb. Andre was attentive and always ready to serve and help, nothing ever appeared to be too much trouble. He interacted with the guests in a friendly yet professional manner. He quickly learned all the guests names and greeted and acknowledged us each time we met which made us feel more like friends than guests. Our chef always made delicious food and was very creative when it came to my vegetarian dishes. The other crew members, Christiana, Ivan, and Randy worked industriously and tirelessly to ensure our comfort and safety. My husband and I had a wonderful balance of activity and relaxation in beautiful surroundings. I would definitely recommend this trip to friends and family (and strangers if they will listen)

Our guide Ivica and Martin were exceptional! Ivica went out of his way to ensure everyone on board had a great experience at all times. He set up an extra bus tour in Dubrovnik and also got up early in the morning to accompany two passengers to the ferry and to ensure they got to were they needed to go! Martin, for his first trip was also great. He told several stories and shared many facts about the history of Croatia. Both men made the trip fantastic. The entire crew aboard the Mali Ante made each and every one of feel at home. The food was great and the two chefs were amazing!

From the first greeting at the dock in Split to making sure we had transport to our next destination in Dubrovnik, Anita made us feel like family. Each day’s activities were communicated through regular briefings and schedule updates on WhatsApp. Our hiking guide, Mate, explained the details of each walk and made sure we all felt confident with the pace and difficulty each time he led us to the magical views he shared with us. The crew were fantastic. The Captain changed some days around to avoid bad weather and rough seas. The food was great and the ship was always clean and tidy. We had a great time and the Sail Croatia guides and the Salve Di Mare crew made sure we were comfortable, active and well informed. We learnt so much about Croatia. Obviously a place loved by our guides and the crew. Thank you for sharing your country and your knowledge with us!!

A fantastic relaxing 7 nights on the Romantic Star, Elegance cruise. A brilliant way to see the Croatian islands. Excellent service on board from our Captain Ivan, all the crew and our Tour Manager, Ioanna, who put 150% into making sure we all had a good time. The food was delicious and from beginning to end we didn’t need to worry about a thing. Every detail had been carefully planned to make the holiday perfect. I’d like to do it again soon and will certain recommend Sail Croatia to my friends and family.

A group of 7 went on the boat and bike tour Everything about the tour was excellent the islands we visited where amazing ( we did the split to Dubrovnik) All the staff on the ship where excellent all 6 of them worked together very well nothing was too much trouble for them they work extremely hard The ship was very basic cabins abit small not much room for storage of clothes but the bed was comfortable always hot water for showers 6 of us was on upper deck cabins the 1 in lower deck which we he has paid the extra as in his room there was only the door he could open to let in fresh air he had a problem with damp all his clothes felt wet and it was also a lot colder down there It did not spoil his holiday the biking tour was great not very hard but nice to go out in the morning to see the beautiful islands Food was good I told them I needed my food very hot ( due to health problems) which they did do for me Need a card machine on board as it’s cash only

I took the Sail Hike Croatia cruise from Split to Dubrovnik. The boat accommodation was very comfortable with spacious cabin on upper deck. The staff and crew were exceptional and made strategic changes to avoid the expected rain. We experienced different hikes each day to stunning locations. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable, well prepared, spoke in clear English and offered many great choices at each location for our free time or for those that wanted to skip a hike. The food and service from the crew was outstanding.

The sailboat was lovely and the crew worked hard to maintain the boat and accommodate the guests’ needs. Food was delicious and the portions were big. Cycling was a great way to see some of the islands along the Dalmatian coast. The cycle team kept everyone safe and did a great job showing us the sights and explaining the history or each island. This was just a great trip -- it truly exceeded our expectations. My wife, a relatively unsure bicycle newbie with no prior e-bike experience learned so much and can't wait to do more tours. Being a more experienced adventure biker, I also thoroughly enjoyed the trek on a classic bike. The excellent guides and breadth of cycling experience within the friendly group easily accommodated our disparate skill levels, so we both had excellent, positive experiences. The boat was beautiful, the crew, including the bartenders, chefs, sailors, and captain, were always extremely helpful. Our guides, Ivan and Mario, were exceptional and really made our trip, both biking and boating, smooth and effortless. They fostered a warm camaraderie among the group that really made the trip a joy for everyone. In sum, we'd recommend this bike/boat cruise to anyone who knows how to ride a bike and wants to tangibly experience an amazingly beautiful part of the world.
