Sail Croatia

We hired the boat Morpheus for our family of 5 ( three adult children) Andreas our skipper was fantastic and an enthusiastic sailer. he planned a great week for us. With a mix of remote swimming spots and idyllic towns. The boat was perfect and the kitchen well equipped with everything thing to to cook lunch each day on board. One of the great things about the trip was you are in a different place each day but you dont have to pack your bags each day like when you stay in a hotel. We would all love to do this trip again.

What a great way to unwind, recharge and regroup!!

Oh Croatia - what a BEAUTIFUL country you are!! We sailed on the Almissa from Dubrovnik to Split abd then took a bus back down to Dubrovnik for our return flight home. You really couldn’t have asked for more! Food was amazing, service was outstanding and the scenery was fairytale like!!!

Relaxing with the right amount of activity

Croatia is beautiful, I loved all the islands, Stari Grad and Mljet National Park were highlights. Tempera is due for a refurb next year, it's fine, but it does need some attention. The crew were great. As a pescatarian I was catered for, but hot breakfast items were all in the same serving dish - eggs tasted of sausages - I can cope with that, but many wouldn't. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable.

Cycling sail croatia

We have just completed cycling sail croatia week. A few recommendations for sail croatia to consider for upcoming trips, and for travellers who are considering this trip. If you are travelling as a couple you need to specify you want a double room. The food on the boat was very tasty however the orange juice in the morning could be greatly improved. They could also increase their variety of wines on board. Miranda our cycling leader was excellent and very supportive. Time spent in some of the villaages I felt was rushed, definitely wished we had a longer duration in Havar. If you enjoy an active holiday this is definitely one to consider as a way to see Croatia.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the cycling, found the food tasty, and that Miranda made such a positive impact on your trip. Regarding the bedding configuration, whilst we're unable to guarantee specific bed types on our Cycle Croatia cruises due to the varying layouts of our vessels, we absolutely welcome guests to let us know if they have a preferred bedding configuration. We do our best to accommodate these requests wherever possible; however, as ship allocations are finalised closer to departure and each vessel has its own unique cabin configuration, we are unable to guarantee them. This information is outlined on our website and within our booking information prior to travel. For guests seeking guaranteed bedding configurations, our Luxury Cycle cruises offer this option. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding the orange juice, wine selection, and the amount of time spent in some of the destinations. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you back to Croatia in the future.

Great biking, disappointing cabin

Enjoyed the biking and guides. Crew was great.Views were spectacular. The cabin left a lot to be desired. Terrible mattress, bathroom was a mess, couldn’t shower without wetting the whole room, AC was subpar.. The food was mostly good, with several poor mains and sides. fruit cocktail from a can should not be served for dessert. drink prices on board were extremely high, five euros for a small Coke..

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the cycling, found the guides and crew to be great, and were able to take in the spectacular views throughout your journey. We also appreciate your honest comments regarding the cabin, dining, and onboard drinks. Guest feedback is invaluable in helping us identify areas where we can improve, and we will be sharing your observations with our operations and catering teams for review. While we're pleased that much of the food met your tastes, we're sorry that certain meals and aspects of the cabin experience fell short. We do note that meal ratings from other guests on your departure averaged 4.57 out of 5; however, we fully appreciate that dining experiences and personal tastes can vary from guest to guest, and we respect your individual perspective. Thank you again for travelling with us. We truly value your feedback and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you onboard another adventure in the future.

Mali Anti

I was somewhat disappointed and felt the overall experience to be a little lacking. While the air conditioning failed in some cabins and the crew did what they could to fix it was understandable, one guest complained and the Captain felt it necessary to berate all guests on board at dining. The excursions were less than what was advertised. The swim time was extremely long and cut into time that could have been spent on shore. We scheduled a pick up through our ship from our hotel to the ship for departure and then were not allowed on the ship for 2 hours in an area with no shelter, shopping or bathrooms. The coordinator of excursions missed the mark on helping acquire e-bikes along with knowledge of restaurants and distances to attractions. There were not enough deck chairs for the number of guests. The jacuzzi was filled only twice. Coffee was only available during breakfast hour or had to pay for it. Overall, the experience was not what we had hoped for or planned.

Dubrovnik - Split

The trip was fantastic- we had 2 really great guides Ivan and Lujcia- the group on the boat got on well. Such beautiful coastline - cycling on the islands was a fabulous way to see them. Would recommend this trip

Nice way to see the islands

Sailed on the Katarina Great Captain and crew Recommended

Sel De Mar

Lovely boat and crew. Chef amazing. However did not enjoy being constantly exposed to cigarette smoke on only lower deck, especially when deck was enclosed.

- Dawn, 19/06/2026 00:49, Travelled with Family

Almost perfection

This was a fabulous holiday! There are just three reasons I couldn't give it a perfect 5. 1. "Water toys"-having only 4 "floaties" when you have 36 people on board is not enough. On vacation, no one wants to jump is the sea and tread water for the duration of the swim stop. 2. The new Contessa is lovely. However, on the top deck there was not nearly enough loungers or chairs. People were having to share or go below deck. There was plenty of space for more. 3. It is a bummer that you advertise excursions to Explorer travelers but they actually do not happen or are not reccomended. We were excited on day 1 to go river rafting but once on board heard that that actually wasn't an excursion. Same with canoeing-said you "could" go, but that it was a very bad experience. Better tour operators or excursions need to be sourced. Lola was super and responsive. Martin and Neno amazing employees! Chef Bane and Marko fab. Charlie and Tino fun on deck, and maids were wonderful.

Hiking cruise.

Overall it was wonderful. The full group of passengers were amazing and Croatia is stunning. Our hikes were beautiful. Our cabin was quite small and very damp. Our clothes and towels never felt dry. We were thankful that it was cool and quieter during the night when parked next to party boats, though it was a bit noisy when the engines started in the morning. We thought the food was quite good. In sum, great experience and would choose a bit nicer ship next time.

A little extra effort needed

We loved seeing the Dalmation Islands, the beautiful walks and we enjoyed the public areas of the boat, Emanuel. However in the small cabin the bed was hard and lumpy. The addition of decent mattress toppers would be an easy fix and a big improvement. While I appreciate limited galley space, the food could be easily improved with forethought. For example for vegetarians a homemade lentil and spinach soup would be a simple and massive improvement on powdered mushroom soup. The salads were very basic; lettuce in a bowl and likewise could be upgraded with a few extras and with the addition of, for example, cooked potatoes chick peas with decent bread would have been a nicer main course than fried vege fritters from a packet. One day we had lunch of potato crocquettes with potato and vege fritters and chips, all from a packet, all fried! Breakfasts were good with nice vege choice. Bar a bit pricey. Tea and coffee all day should be included for the price of the holiday.

Friendly Crew, But the Ship Needs Improvement

The Croatian itinerary was fantastic, and the crew were friendly and hardworking throughout the trip. Unfortunately, the condition of the Mali Ante did not meet our expectations. The ship felt older and less well-maintained than many others we saw in port. The jacuzzi was out of service for most of the trip, our shower leaked, & our lower-deck cabin was extremely noisy whenever the engines started. The cabin was also very damp, leaving clothing and towels moist and causing some clothes to develop a musty odor. We also found what appeared to be mold or mildew staining on our bedding. Breakfast was limited to one hour each morning, no snacks were provided between meals, and guests could not bring their own snacks or drinks onboard. Drinks were expensive, and the bar tab had to be paid in cash. Considering the ship’s condition and limited amenities, the suggested gratuities felt excessive. While Croatia was beautiful, the overall experience did not provide the value we expected.

Hi Tiffany, Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed review. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the itinerary and found the crew aboard your ship to be friendly and hardworking. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to them. Mali Ante is a highly rated ship within our fleet, so we are sorry to hear that certain aspects of your onboard experience did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We offer a variety of vessels within our Explorer Cruise range to cater to different travel styles and budgets, allowing guests to select the ship that best suits their preferences. We have a thorough process in place for communicating and resolving issues during the cruise. Having reviewed our internal records, I can see that the concerns outlined in your review were not raised with the onboard representative during your trip. Had we been made aware of these issues at the time, our team would have done their best to investigate and address them while you were onboard to ensure you were satisfied with the outcome. As outlined in our pre-departure documentation and guest App, tipping is entirely optional. The crew onboard our ships are paid fairly for their work; however, gratuities are a widely recognised way for guests to acknowledge exceptional service. Amazing 5 Star Croatian Guides - Marin & Johnny!

Wonderful, beautiful scenery ! Marin & Johnny were the perfect pair and excellent guides delivering 5/5 stars! Marin's historical knowledge was impressive; he was a mine of information and great local recommendations, he really took care of everyone! Johnny gave us the best restaurant recommendations or tips of where to go. Some of the bike rides took us up very steep hills and windy roads close to the cliff edges and while the views were beautiful I'm scared of heights, but luckily Johnny was there to support and kindly encourage me down, he was lovely! Kerim our bartender was very attentive & our food was good! Our ship was immaculate but it was older so while we had an upper cabin our bed was positioned up against the wall so I had crawl over the bed to get to my side. It wasn't the end of the world but we felt like we were camping :) which is why I am giving this review 4 stars! I'd highly recommend this trip, all the islands we visited were amazing and we loved Croatia!

Bad boat, good trip itinerary

I wouldn’t ever sail on the standard of boat used on this trip because the cabins were pretty much all of a low standard in one way or another. Additionally noise at night was a significant issue, due to tie ups in harbour. Sleep quality on the boat was poor and the cabin air conditioning caused throat problems. The tipping expectations for staff on this boat of about 20% of the cost of the trip were ridiculous. No one tipped that much, Other people on the boat great fun. Ilona was a very good hike leader. Food on board ok to good, but why no menu for the week or choices? Would go to Croatia again but on a land based tour. The hikes were worth doing. None of our friends would tolerate the standard of boat so wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Hi there, Thank you for your 3-Star review and for taking the time to leave your feedback. It is great to hear that you enjoyed the company of your fellow travellers and that Ilona was a very good hike leader. We will be sure to pass on your comments to Ilona. We are also pleased to hear that the food onboard was good. As per our website our guests enjoy a 3 course lunch daily which received a high score of 4.67 out of 5 from your particular departure. We could't agree more that the hikes are worth doing. Our Hike cruises certainly do allow you to completely immerse yourself in the beautiful nature of this country and year after year these type of holidays are becoming more and more popular. We are however sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy certain aspects of the ship and thank you for your feedback received during the week and after the cruise. We understand you tried to book our Luxury Hike cruise which unfortunately was sold out - and this somewhat left you disappointed with your Premier ship experience. We would like to highlight that the feedback collected from our guests at the end of the cruise resulted in an outstanding overall score for the ship of 4.79 out of 5. Thank you for sharing your comments regarding the noise in port. It is correct that all the ships - as with any tour operator in Croatia - are moored up in the harbours at night. As is the case with any type of cruise and group travel, one must expect a certain degree of noise - whether from onboard social activity, natural sounds and mechanics of being on a ship as well as the surrounding people from other ships. As outlined in our pre-departure documentation and guest App, tipping is entirely optional. The crew onboard our ships are paid fairly for their work; however, gratuities are a widely recognised way for guests to acknowledge exceptional service. Many guests choose to leave a tip as a gesture of appreciation, however this is always at each individual's discretion. Thank you once again for travelling with us.

Poor value for the money

First off I want to say that the cycling was fantastic. Having said that, our trip was rated a 2.5/5 which is true but that rating is the average of the intensity of the rides. So some days were 1/5 and some were 4/5. We had an issue in our bathroom that was not resolved until the 4th day. The food was mediocre at best. Very little fruit, everything was cold, croissants that weren't baked through, single ingredient salads, only instant coffee unless you were willing to pay extra, Drinks were expensive, you couldn't get single glasses of wine. Our guide was knowledgeable but he spoke so quickly it was difficult to follow what he was saying. Both he and the other guide were friendly and helpful. I found my bike to be comfortable but there were a number of issues with the bikes in general. Croatia is beautiful and I would recommend exploring it by bike but not with SailCroatia.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're pleased to hear that you found the cycling fantastic and that you enjoyed exploring Croatia by bike. It's also wonderful to know that you found both guides friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and that you were comfortable on your bike throughout the trip. Croatia truly is a beautiful destination for cycling, and we're pleased that these aspects of your holiday left a positive impression. We appreciate your comments regarding the route grading. Our ratings are intended to reflect the overall average difficulty of the tour, and as you noted, daily rides can vary depending on the terrain and itinerary, with some days being more challenging than others. Regarding the cabin issue, our understanding was that the concern related to the shower hook in your bathroom. This was addressed during the scheduled cabin service and we apologise for any inconvenience caused in the meantime. We're sorry to hear that the food did not meet your expectations and clearly there is room for improvement based on your feedback. It has already been passed on to the relevant parties for review. Croatia Bike Cruise

Our cruise with Sail Croatia was lovely. The biking was a bit more challenging & athletic than anticipated, so we were happy to have e-bikes. But our tour guides Marin & Natasha were knowledgeable & skilled so we always felt safe. Daily rides lasted 3-6 hours, the latter with added excursions. Some on quiet remote roads, but a few on rather busy thruways. I'd suggest offering a more leisurely bike option with site-seeing stops (we did coffee & beach stops but they were very brief) The boat itself was basic but comfortable (premier class). Our room was adequate & clean, with a large bathroom, plenty of hot water & AC. However there were some lacking amenities such as a comfortable lounge area away from the wind when at sail, with seating enough for everyone on board. We were also expecting sun loungers on the top deck, but there were just a few plastic chairs. Lastly the buffet breakfasts were wonderful, but not the plated lunches. I'd suggest offering buffet instead.

June 26 bike croatia

Fantastic, loved the island rides especially in quiet places. Amazing coastline and beautiful views. Great guides and staff. Things that need improvement . 1 needed softer mattress 2. A system to log guests on and off securely so no-one can get left behind. 3. Give all info before getting off to start riding to save confusion. 4. Do not rely on apps as not all can use mb phones when traveling & riding. 5. Self serve Tea and coffee should be available free to guests.6. Meals do not need to be so formal or take up so much time. 7. Bikes need bells for safety and small panier bags to carry items securely.

Sandra from Canada

We really enjoyed our week on Aphradita. Sasha and Natasha were great hosts and guides. The hiking was perfect - the week was a perfect balance of activity and down time. Would recommend.

- Sandra, 05/06/2026 20:39, Travelled in a Couple

It was a nice week

We enjoyed the bike rides, the sceneries were beautiful. The e-bikes worked very well. The group was a bit too large, a bit squeezed on the boat. The meals were excellent but we would have liked at time more buffet or picnic type of meal. We enjoyed a lot swimming from the boat, the Adriatic sea is so beautiful . Our guides, Marin and Martin, were excellent. They cared a lot for the security and were extremely knowledgeable, very pleasant peuple, I recommend them to all the groups.

Exceptional Guides

Our guides were amazing. Crew brilliant. Costs such as port taxes and park fees were a bit of a surprise. Cabin was on the lower deck and was really damp even with the door left ajar. We were not allowed to open the portholes overnight whilst docked. Double bed was way too high to get in and out of comfortably.

- Anonymous, 03/06/2026 19:14, Travelled in a Couple

Awesome adventures with the guides

It was great overall. Some of the things outside of the biking was that things like port taxes and park fees were not included in the costs. The cabins were also quite damp below deck and our bed you nearly had to take a run and jump to get into it as it was really high. Not great for an older couple.

Great guides

We thoroughly enjoyed our days cycling around the islands. Our guides Marin and Martin were superb! The ship however needs some work. The room was not very clean as well as the ship. The room we were given was right next to the engine which awoke us each morning and also smelt of exhaust. The captain was very nice but his staff seemed uninterested in their jobs and did a lot of sitting around (while the ship needed) cleaning.) The food was not very good.

Great itinerary let down by disappointing food, service and boat crew

The itinerary on our 7 day Tempera cruise was great, our cabin was fantastic but unfortunately the whole experience was severly let down by incredibly poor food and service staff. Definitely not worth the money we paid for the trip.

wonderful no frills getaway

Try to get pics of room prior to booking-I think we had the worst room on the boat. Room 2 on Tempera has a large intrusion in the room from the next door curved staircase requiring you to hunch over on far side of bed when getting in or out. That closet opens up ONTO the bed and is almost unuseable. The tiny curved table in the room slants down so things slide off of it. The bed was comfortable and the room size decent. The breakfast was good- sausage, eggs, fruit, pastries…. but I (and many other judging by appearances) found the lunches inedible. greasy rice stuffed pepper served with cold mashed potatoes, a bowl of buttered noidles served with a small thin slice of overcooked meat served with more noodles, Very carb heavy and mostly served warm not hot. Soups and desserts were good.

premier biking Croatia

We had a lovely time on our Sail Croatia Bike Cruise. I will recommend but with these suggestions. The food on our ship was not great. Edible but poorer quality than I expected. The crew tended to be quite surly and mostly smoked or were on their phones. Our guides were phenomenal and did a fantastic job. They really made the trip. The bikes (we all had e-bikes) were very good quality and easy to use. The scenery was fantastic and luckily we had a large (33 passengers) group but everyone was great and got along well. I would strongly suggest upgrading to premier plus or looking at a higher quality company if good food and a nice ship are important to you.

Great way to island hop

Our holiday was very relaxing. Dino was 5 stars and so were the rest of the crew. Great way to see the islands. The only reason we rated 4stars instead of 5 is because we would have preferred not to be served a full 3 course meal at lunch. A buffet would have been better. Save the big meal for when we were in the towns. As it was we ate two dinner type meals a day until we decided to just not eat lunch on the ship.

Further feedback

I filled the quick review onboard but understood there would be a more thorough evaluation of our trip. The biggest concern I had was the food. It was not up to standard. You should hire qualified trained chefs. Thousand island salad dressing was over poured on all salads. White bread for the most part. Not alot of citrus fruit. Overcooked tuna at captains dinner and appetizer unappealing. The captain wore a sweatshirt at the captains dinner. You couldn’t order a glass of wine you needed to buy a bottle. .

some suggestions to be even better

The trip from Dubrovnik to Split was awesome. I have been in the hospitality industry for more than 30 years and I would like to offer some suggestions: -towels need to be dried some way, we had to use them wet. -shower floor is very slippery, you might want to do something. -regular coffee and bread can be better at breakfast. Sweet bread was fine. -Lunch can be better as well. Dessert when made by the lady cook was awesome. she is really good. All the crew offered a fantastic and warm service at all times.. congratulations for that. Ally and Linda worked non stop and the boys as well. Captain was a lot of fun and so friendly and easy going. He did a very good job. Having the boat from Blue Cave take us directly to the ship was a great idea. thank you. Jacuzzi was a little small for a big crowd and we had to take turns. -Dinning room was very noisy during meals. Too many people in a small area. I wish we could extend and eat outside. Thank you and congratulations

Did not meet expectations

The cycling itself was great! The island cycling routes are challenging (in a good way) with so many epic views. The ship and (some) crew, however, fell short of expectations. The Dionis boat was old and a bad experience from the start, especially compared to the other boats for the same price (which you walk through & see what you are missing out on). I feel ripped off. Even sail Croatia staff commented on Dionis being the worst! A leaking roof in my cabin, leaking shower, significant slant in my room so my head was lower than my feet in bed, uncomfortable common areas compared to other boats. Very basic, not like in the pictures on the website. Some crew members were not very engaging…seemed like they didn’t want to be there. No help offered with carrying luggage across multiple ships on arrival. Had to ask multiple times for things like a room key for example, or to have the chirping smoked detector fixed. The single supplement fee is outrageous. the food is plentiful but just ok.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you enjoyed the cycling routes and the incredible scenery - this is such a key part of the experience, so it’s great to know this aspect delivered. We’re sad to hear that elements of your onboard experience did not meet expectations. Having reviewed feedback from all travellers on your departure, the ship received an average score of 4.58 out of 5, so it’s disappointing to hear that your personal experience fell short of this, and of what you were expecting from your trip. Dionis is part of our Premier ship category, which offers a comfortable and sociable cruising experience, and we’re sorry to hear that aspects such as your cabin and onboard service did not reflect this for you. Your comments regarding maintenance, comfort, and crew engagement have been shared with our operations team so they can be reviewed directly. I can see at the time of enquiry you requested a Single Supplement to ensure you had a private cabin to yourself, rather than sharing with another guest. With regards to the Single Supplement, this is set at 50% of the per person price across the industry, as cabins are designed to accommodate two guests, and the supplement reflects sole occupancy of that space. For guests seeking a more spacious onboard environment, larger cabins, and additional onboard features, we do offer our Premier Plus ship range on our Cycle Croatia cruises, which may be a better fit depending on preferences and of course budget. Thank you again for your feedback, and we’re glad you were still able to enjoy the cycling and the stunning Croatian islands.

Great trip

I had a great time. Guides were outstanding (Josko and Lauren). I felt safe in their hands. Itinerary: I would have preferred more kilometers The bikes were basic and minimal. I expected better quality, especially the non E-bikes. The boat was fine. I did not need anything fancier. More than adequate The food was good but often overcooked. (The captain was a great pilot, he has no business interfering in the kitchen) Portions too big; buffet style may be better. I appreciated breakfast as I could serve myself and the variety was perfect. The portions at lunch were way too big. I dont like wasting food. The staff were courteous, friendly and helpful. Consider other drinks at the bar (juice, lemonade…)

Mediocre

Okay. The food was average despite cooks efforts to prepare and serve quality food. There was no alcohol provided with Captains dinner. Staff were great!

Bike and ride

Great time away, food was not to my liking and very bland especially the soups. Mash potato was like slop on plate meat stew very tough. Coffee not nice all agreed bought my own and it went missing. Toilet paper should be filled properly at all times as only little was put in and we kept running out along with others. No ware to sit when weather was so bad as only 4 seats by bar all tables were played straight after breakfast. Breakfast: nothing left one morning at 7.45 when breakfast should have been until 8.30. Plates taken when we were still eating at breakfast meats and cheese removed so fast not time to eat, most days they had breakfast cleared down before 8.15 making many of us feeling rushed and not able to eat what we wanted for our breakfast. The crew were very nice . Would have liked the bikes we paid for to have been available when we were not on ride so we could explore. Felt the whole week centred around them not us.

Had a great time ‘

We enjoyed our travel of the Croatian islands with Sail Croatia. Ioana made the experience great ! She has given reliable information and realistic expectations of the activities every day. We made so many friends which added value to the experience itself! Food is great ! The cabin was spacious and clean. If anything, I would recommend all inclusive sailing, maybe offering 1 or 2 options of activities for the passengers to choose from . Thank you for this experience! Best, Arlyn and Thomas

Beautiful cruise in a magical place, itinerary changes handled with grace

Dino, our tour manager was lovely and very responsive to our questions and requests. He often responded within a minute and was already taking action on our request. He was very knowledgeable about each location and gave us a daily briefing. The ship was beautiful and the staff friendly. Due to rough seas the itinerary had to be changed and we did not visit Vis, but instead went to Omiš, which was a lovely town with stunning landscapes and some exciting excursion options! They handled the itinerary changes gracefully and seamlessly. I've deducted one star as there were a few quirks along the way that could have made the stay more pleasant: The ship has AC, but only when the AC is turned on as a whole, so for the first couple nights and the last night our room was a nearly unbearable 77-80°F at night, there were a couple days where housekeeping came into the room, but the room was only partially done, like 1 out of 3 beds done. All in all it was an enjoyable experience though!

Love the small ship experience!

Traveling with Sail Croatia was an experience that was more than " just a cruise" where you are one of hundreds or thousands on a massive ship. It wasn't perfect, but I look back on the friendships we made, the cozy feel of the ship and I'm left with special memories of our time on the Adriatic. When we arrived in Split and were faced with two massive cruise ships at port, I was so thankful for the choice we made. Dino, our cruise director, was a very relatable, friendly guy who responded quickly with our questions. The crew were all very nice! I rated it 4/5 mainly because of a few issues such as ventilation in the cabin that made it uncomfortable for a few days. Otherwise, it would be 5/5!

Family Fun!

Number one, the staff was excellent! From the time we entered onto the ship to the time we got off they were always there when we needed them. If someone also had food issues, they were also accommodating to the persons needs. The director, Ivan, also personalized, and went above and beyond some of the things to help us and make our experience very memorable! The staff also in charge of swimming, cooking, serving, cleaning, bartending were all very friendly. Second, the ship was in great condition and kept clean. Third, the two tours that were included were great with Ivan. Fourth, the Captain’s dinner was great and the band was excellent! And, the people that were on the ship with us ended up to be the best and we all had so much fun together! A feeling of family! Ivan, the director was superb!! Captain Ivan was also superb!

Everything was well laid out and organized daily. The staff were professional and friendly. We felt safe and appreciated ,and as a result we were well taken care of morning to night.

Great way to explore Croatia

The staff were amazing. Mario, the Sail Croatia rep on the boat, was friendly, very knowledgeable and spoke several languages fluently. Matte the walk guide was clearly experienced but also patient and able to adjust to the needs of the group. The crew of the Mali Ante were delightful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great holiday. The cabins were small but had plenty of storage and the shower was great. The food was homely, crowd pleasing and generous. We got to know everyone on the trip and enjoyed the multinational vibe..

A very pleasant experience, but not perfect

We enjoyed the crew and getting to know the passengers. . The food was inconsistent, not always stellar . Much of it dry and cold, the coffee was instant, and we had to pay extra for real coffee. The islands themselves very scenic, the ship was clean, and the crew were amazing. We would do a smaller cruise but upgrade to a fancier ship with better food. Otherwise, great memories were made.

Excellent Croatia cruise experience

Everything about our Croatia Elegance cruise on the Katarina was outstanding, with the exception of the meals, which often weren’t to our liking. But would do it all over again in a heartbeat!

Cruise and hike September 25

Fantastic cruise - ship staff and tour leaders were amazing and knowledgeable. Very accommodating to all abilities. Food excellent well above expectations. Our only slight criticism was our cabin which was on the lower deck and felt quite small. In retrospect we would have chosen an upper deck cabin. That said it was a fantastic, memorable holiday made all the more special by the brilliant staff - heads up to Lola and Natasha

It was an ok cruise.

Provide daily written out itinerary for people to actually read what times and where things were going on. Have an intercom (overhead speaker) so people can be alerted of pertinent info for all passengers. Verbal daily communication from guide was poor on daily activities. Cycle times need to be longer with less “coffee” breaks (30 min ride, 45 min stop) Our guide, was rude. Our other guide, Mario, was great. Overall, first impression of accommodations found that a bed overhead light was broken with wires exposed, safe didn’t work, tight quarters and air conditioning was poor, Reported broken light immediately and it was repaired.. Safe reported not working, told how to use by crew, but those instructions didn’t work….finally found written safe instructions on top shelf (which we couldn’t see beforehand) and was able to get the safe working on our own.. Food was ok. Bikes were outstanding quality….so good, I’m considering purchasing that brand. Swim stops were great.

Ceira, Sales Rep at Sail Croatia replied 2025-10-03:

Hi Charlene, Thank you for your detailed feedback and for highlighting the many positives – we’re pleased to know you enjoyed the swim stops, food, guidance from Mario, and the quality of the bikes, which we’re glad to hear impressed you enough to consider purchasing for yourself. We also appreciate your suggestions regarding a written itinerary, intercom, and cycle breaks, which have been passed on to our Operations Team. We are disheartened to read your comments about one of the Guides, as he has consistently received high praise throughout the season. We’re glad the issues with the light and safe were addressed during your stay, and we will share your note about clearer instructions with our team. Your comments are valuable as we continue striving to enhance our guests’ experience.

Disappointed with food quality and outdoor deck furniture availability

Improve breakfast offerings, variety and presentation. Offer better quality coffee and tea options. Communication with passengers and kitchen waiting staff. Improve lunch offerings, more vegetables, and meat quality and variety. Serve tables with waiters offering drinks. Have coffee and tea making available during day with biscuits etc The discussion of itinerary to be held prior to lunch service. No smoking on ship for passengers and crew. Provide equal number of deck chairs to passengers. We had 10 deck chairs for 36 passengers and I witnessed a passenger confrontation Set outdoor furniture up for passenger comfort prior to breakfast service

Ceira, Sales Rep at Sail Croatia replied 2025-10-03:

Hi Alison - Thank you for your feedback, and we hope you enjoyed the beauty of Croatia and discovering its lovely islands. Our chefs always aim to provide a variety of meals using fresh, local produce, even within the limitations of a small ship’s galley. Your comments regarding meals, table service, tea and coffee availability, communication with kitchen staff, and deck chairs have been passed on to our Operations Team for review - we appreciate your input. Please note there are designated smoking areas on board, usually located towards the back of the boat. Looking through our internal records, we understand there was some confusion over breakfast timings, which was quickly addressed with your Rep. We value your comments as they help us continue to review and refine our service as we strive to maintain the high standards.

EOS Sept 17-24th

The staff and guides were lovely and kind. The wait staff Valentina and Lucy were so friendly and obliging. It was a pleasure to talk with them. The guides Toni and Andre were fun and informative and it was nice that they sat and ate with the guests.

Overall a great experience

Great staff. Bike routes well laid out and planned with interesting stops for swimming and cafes to get a delicious cup of coffee. Bikes were well maintained and very easy to ride. Any problems that did arise were handled quickly. Breakfast was great with a nice variety of food to choose from. Coffee not so good, needs improvement. Could purchase cappuccino on board which was good. Lunch definitely needs improvement. Most times it was cold. Soup was watery. Desserts were delicious. No on board safety protocols. We didn’t realize until third day into trip that life vests were under our bed. I would definitely recommend this trip.

Easy way to travel

This cruise was a great experience. The staff was incredibly attentive, the food was delicious and plenty of . It .The destinations were wonderful and the swim spots were calm., clean and secluded. The cabin was a little small and the bed a bit uncomfortable. I recommend it for anyone looking for a fuss free, intimate way to see the islands of Croatia..
