We have just completed cycling sail croatia week. A few recommendations for sail croatia to consider for upcoming trips, and for travellers who are considering this trip. If you are travelling as a couple you need to specify you want a double room. The food on the boat was very tasty however the orange juice in the morning could be greatly improved. They could also increase their variety of wines on board. Miranda our cycling leader was excellent and very supportive. Time spent in some of the villaages I felt was rushed, definitely wished we had a longer duration in Havar. If you enjoy an active holiday this is definitely one to consider as a way to see Croatia.

The trip was well organized however the app made it difficult to determine the planned daily distances, leaving me to retrieve information from previously emailed tour notes. Be great to have it all in one place.

Enjoyed the biking and guides. Crew was great.Views were spectacular. The cabin left a lot to be desired. Terrible mattress, bathroom was a mess, couldn’t shower without wetting the whole room, AC was subpar.. The food was mostly good, with several poor mains and sides. fruit cocktail from a can should not be served for dessert. drink prices on board were extremely high, five euros for a small Coke..

It was very fair, the weather was excellent and the staff on the ship were very good. Friendly, helpful and provide excellent service. The food on board were excellent and both the chef and his helper did an exception job. Considering with a small kitchen and serve 29 people daily. Your manager did a excellent job. The biggest issues is the itinerary. Way too much idle time. I am a veteran of river cruises and this is certainly no comparison to those programs. May I suggest that perhaps add some more activities to each island that we visited. Alternate lunch and dinner on board. On the final stop, Dubrovnik, sail pass with the view of the old town must be added. For the life of me, I can't believe we didn't do it. Instead we had a swim just outside for an hour just to wait for docking, is the fuel that expensive?

I wouldn’t ever sail on the standard of boat used on this trip because the cabins were pretty much all of a low standard in one way or another. Additionally noise at night was a significant issue, due to tie ups in harbour. Sleep quality on the boat was poor and the cabin air conditioning caused throat problems. The tipping expectations for staff on this boat of about 20% of the cost of the trip were ridiculous. No one tipped that much, Other people on the boat great fun. Ilona was a very good hike leader. Food on board ok to good, but why no menu for the week or choices? Would go to Croatia again but on a land based tour. The hikes were worth doing. None of our friends would tolerate the standard of boat so wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We are also pleased to hear that the food onboard was good. As per our website our guests enjoy a 3 course lunch daily which received a high score of 4.67 out of 5 from your particular departure. We could't agree more that the hikes are worth doing. Our Hike cruises certainly do allow you to completely immerse yourself in the beautiful nature of this country and year after year these type of holidays are becoming more and more popular. We are however sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy certain aspects of the ship and thank you for your feedback received during the week and after the cruise. We understand you tried to book our Luxury Hike cruise which unfortunately was sold out - and this somewhat left you disappointed with your Premier ship experience. We would like to highlight that the feedback collected from our guests at the end of the cruise resulted in an outstanding overall score for the ship of 4.79 out of 5. Thank you for sharing your comments regarding the noise in port. It is correct that all the ships - as with any tour operator in Croatia - are moored up in the harbours at night. As is the case with any type of cruise and group travel, one must expect a certain degree of noise - whether from onboard social activity, natural sounds and mechanics of being on a ship as well as the surrounding people from other ships. As outlined in our pre-departure documentation and guest App, tipping is entirely optional. The crew onboard our ships are paid fairly for their work; however, gratuities are a widely recognised way for guests to acknowledge exceptional service. Many guests choose to leave a tip as a gesture of appreciation, however this is always at each individual's discretion. Thank you once again for travelling with us.

We thoroughly enjoyed our days cycling around the islands. Our guides Marin and Martin were superb! The ship however needs some work. The room was not very clean as well as the ship. The room we were given was right next to the engine which awoke us each morning and also smelt of exhaust.The captain was very nice but his staff seemed uninterested in their jobs and did a lot of sitting around (while the ship needed) cleaning.) The food was not very good.

The itinerary on our 7 day Tempera cruise was great, our cabin was fantastic but unfortunately the whole experience was severly let down by incredibly poor food and service staff. Definitely not worth the money we paid for the trip.

We had a lovely time on our Sail Croatia Bike Cruise. I will recommend but with these suggestions. The food on our ship was not great. Edible but poorer quality than I expected. The crew tended to be quite surly and mostly smoked or were on their phones. Our guides were phenomenal and did a fantastic job. They really made the trip. The bikes (we all had e-bikes) were very good quality and easy to use. The scenery was fantastic and luckily we had a large (33 passengers) group but everyone was great and got along well. I would strongly suggest upgrading to premier plus or looking at a higher quality company if good food and a nice ship are important to you.

Great holiday, the staff were excellent and the ship was fantastic. There is room for improvement. More ventilation in the lower cabins, aircon wasn’t effective. The coffee was very bad and there could be more fruit at breakfast and some soap included would be helpful. Also if beach towels are not provided it would be good to know that before we left Australia. Apart from that it was a great part of our trip

I had a fantastic time on my Sail Croatia cruise—the route, crew, and food were all great. That said, I was surprised by the 40€ tourist tax per person, which wasn’t clearly explained upfront and for which I received no receipt. I also wasn’t comfortable with how our passports were left in an unlocked plastic box in the dining salon at night, with no visible security. Tipping felt a bit awkward too, especially when envelopes were later collected over WhatsApp after limited communication. Overall, I’d still recommend Sail Croatia, but these small improvements would make the experience even better.

Okay. The food was average despite cooks efforts to prepare and serve quality food. There was no alcohol provided with Captains dinner. Staff were great!

Better quality ship. Emmanuel was old but clean and very middle of the road for overall amenities, a boat not a yacht; lunches were very good, breakfasts mediocre Cycling guides and routes were very good but too short ( advertise this as a leisurely cycling if e bikes being used) and the regular bycyles should not be allowed as we were constantly waiting for them to catch up. Also entrance fees to parks and historical sites should be included in the overall package. Similar to Viking make tipping a part of the trip package.

It was a great week, great people and lots of fun! Many additional costs in the week for excursions, dinners etc that makes the trip cost a lot more than you realise. The trip leader was great but sometimes felt a little salesy and not genuinely caring. He offhanded a lot of organisation to participants who had to initiate activities to bring people together. Sometimes noone knew what was going on because plans weren't communicated. Would have liked more collabs with other boats at parties; the crowd was mainly our boat and other people at the club were a bit odd, especially some older Croatian men. At the Cave Club, people were getting preyed on and this club already had a known reputation for dodgy stuff, but noone informed us until it happened. Food was quite good. Each island had much to offer and explore, and the people on the boat were a lot of fun. Overall, a solid week and a unique experience - daily swims, lots of laughs, making friends - but may not do again in hindsight.

Regarding your comment re the clubs, we do completely agree with you and as with any nightclub in any country, it is very important to remain vigilant and the more awareness guests have, the better. We appreciate you as a valued guest of ours and appreciate your feedback, thank you for this and for a fantastic week in Croatia.
First of all the added costs. Quite a few of the added activities were charged. The prices when converted to Australian dollars were quite expensive. Recommended tipping at the end was very high and this was noted by other passengers as well. We were looking at around AU$700 for the service. Considering how much we paid for the cruise wevconsidered it unreasonable to expect extra charges like this on top. Meals. Breakfasts were very nice. However, some of the lunches were variable in quality. Generally, the entree and deserts were fine but some of the main courses were not to liking. Captains dinner was disappointing. The Entertainment was noisy: not allowing any kind of conversation between the passengers. As an older couple, we found the loud music and tactic singing and dancing to be a bit disconcerting. Nikos and Ivanka were both friendly and always helpful. 5 stars to both of them. Also, the cabin was comfortable and clean and about was beautifully presented.

Improve breakfast offerings, variety and presentation. Offer better quality coffee and tea options. Communication with passengers and kitchen waiting staff. Improve lunch offerings, more vegetables, and meat quality and variety. Serve tables with waiters offering drinks. Have coffee and tea making available during day with biscuits etc The discussion of itinerary to be held prior to lunch service. No smoking on ship for passengers and crew. Provide equal number of deck chairs to passengers. We had 10 deck chairs for 36 passengers and I witnessed a passenger confrontation Set outdoor furniture up for passenger comfort prior to breakfast service

Please note there are designated smoking areas on board, usually located towards the back of the boat. Looking through our internal records, we understand there was some confusion over breakfast timings, which was quickly addressed with your Rep. We had a wonderful week. The staff was amazing, helpful and friendly. The ports and swim stops were unreal. My only negative feedback would be the food. I did not enjoy the food at all. Another negative was how dark the bathrooms are.

I would have discounted our room as we were directly over the engine which was ear splitting.y loud, had home made cookies available all day, served better quality salads, had more beach towels for guests, more water toys, I.e., paddle boards nd kayaks and laundry services available. While your Above Deck cabin was located near the engine room, as with all small ship cruises, some engine noise can be experienced – many guests find this a minor part of the authentic sailing experience. You offer transfers from airport to boat, but not hotel to boat, I cannot see the difference in going to airport or a hotel? We had 2 hot showers at of 7 days - this is unacceptable. Coffee and tea should be available at all times. Other food options should be available at all times Wifi was poor, consider using starlink We had 1 towel to use for the week??

Regarding transfers, we do offer complimentary Elegance transfers to and from the local airport only, as per our contracted service. We understand the convenience of a hotel-to-port transfer, but this is not included in the Elegance package as advertised - this information can be found under FAQ's. We’re sorry to hear you experienced difficulties with the hot water. According to our internal report, the crew did investigate your concerns and found the issue to be related to the operation of the shower control. The knob needed to be turned fully to the left and given some time to activate the hot water. The Captain also explained that the water is heated while the engine is running, and this was communicated to you. After these clarifications, it was confirmed that hot water was available throughout. With regard to towels, each guest is provided with one beach towel for the week, however plenty of showering towels are provided and if you found yourself needing more towels for showering, you simply needed to speak to the crew and your Onboard Representative for additional towels or other needs — they are always happy to assist. Concerning Wi-Fi, we do provide complimentary access on board; however, as outlined in our materials, connection quality can vary due to signal coverage along the coast and limitations inherent to sailing. Thank you for your further thoughts on food and beverages onboard which have been passed on to operations team together with your entire constructive feedback which is very welcome. First of all, let me say that the people involved (crew, etc.) were excellent. I have no problem with any of them. Our cruise director was especially friendly and personable. Plus, I found Croatia to be a most beautiful country. That said, it was not one of my favorite trips. I found most places we stopped to be glorified "tourist traps." Most things were far too expensive, and we were constantly confronted with cost after cost for anything we might want to do. I think that should I ever return to Croatia, I'd probably pick one or two places and spend more time exploring more than just tourist trap stuff. I guess that could be said, however, for many such cruises, etc. Have traveled to several countries, however, this will not be considered one of my favorites.

The boat was very old and really it did fall short of expectations. Light didn't work. No key for safe. Old and slippery tiles in shower. Old shower. It needs to be better. Communication between guides and passengers was minimal. Half the time we were never really sure of what was going on. Rides were spread out. You probably need 2 groups. One to do a longer ride, and one to do a shorter ride. We also needed to stop at a private bay here and there for a swim. We rode past so many secluded rocky beaches with crystal clear water, but never stopped

In terms of ride structure, we understand your concern about group pacing. Safety is a top priority for us, which is why we always provide two experienced guides for each ride — one at the front and one at the back — to manage different riding speeds and support the group throughout the route. We also appreciate your suggestion about offering separate ride options for different levels and will certainly take this into consideration for future departures.Your idea to include more swim stops at secluded bays is also well noted. We agree that these moments can be some of the most memorable, and we’ll explore how we can better incorporate them where timing and logistics allow. 36F and definitely felt too old for the Navigator Cruise (everyone else was 30 or less which I think is the correct age to enjoy the experience). I also felt the cabins were very basic - again I'm probably too old, but it was more basic than the backpacker cruise I'd taken in Australia the previous year and due to the marketing I was expecting something a little more comfortable so it felt like a let down. It was also dissapointing to only be given Instant Coffee at breakfast. It would have also been nice to have information regarding the expected amount of the tips given prior to booking given they were >10% of the cost of the tour. On the upside, the Tour Manager was amazing and went out of his way to make sure I had a good trip. The crew was super kind and the ship was always clean. I'd give the Tour Manager and Crew 6/5 if I could! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the trip to someone younger but for me personally, the experience was just OK.

As per our website, Navigator Cruises are our most popular party cruises for independent, like-minded travellers between the ages of 18 and 39. The product is available on 3 types of ships - Premier, Ensuite and Standard. I can see you were accommodated in one of our Standard cabins. Standard ships are a great option if you want excellent value for money and don't mind compact cabins or shared showers and toilets. For a more varied age demographic and a wider range of experiences, we would suggest our Explorer Cruise, which typically appeals to those aged 20's - 60's, however is open to all ages over 15+ and offers a variety of ship types to suit different budgets and comfort preferences - all Explorer ships include ensuite and air-conditioning. Tipping is always optional, with guidance provided in your pre-departure document, as we aim to be fully transparent about costs. Despite your personal disappointment, we’re pleased to hear you would still recommend the trip and hope to welcome you on one of cruises in the future!
The trip destinations and food was great. The attitude of some staff including the cruise director was pretty poor. The captain of the boat and chef were excellent but other staff were openly stating they were over the season and complaining or arguing with the customers. The cruise director twice had harsh words with us through no fault of our own which is unacceptable.

I enjoyed the week, our leader Vin was very good. I thought there were a lot of hidden costs not very transparent when booking the trip, we had way more inclusions with our last tour we attended with a different company and felt we got more moneys worth with them. Also disappointing that we missed out on two stops due to weather which is understandable however when other sail Croatia ships still go despite what we are being told it does raise some questions. The last day in particular we docked into Dubrovnik port a day early due to weather conditions and then missed out on our swim stop the next day as port authorities wouldn’t let our boat leave? We then found out other sail Croatia boats left for there swim stop which didn’t make much sense, the crew weren’t very transparent with us on the why. The whole last day of our trip was spent docked up, we were told we could go to the beach but then we had to pay 20€ for an uber to get there, frustrating when you pay money to be on a boat.

We really enjoyed our time on the Salve Di Mare. The locations we visited were beautiful! Absolutely stunning. Our cruise director Dino was friendly and informative. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't say anyone went above and beyond though. The rooms were nice and always cleaned well. The cruise is expensive and we really do not believe that is was worth the price we paid. The food was average at best. Well cooked, but boring. Breakfast was front 8 -9.30 with zero flexibility. No food or options for food is offered between breakfast and lunch. So if you miss breakfast, bad luck. Lunch was a 3 course meal and although I eat everything, my partner doesn't eat fish and instead received a piece of 'stuffed' half zucchini instead. During swim stops, which were again, stunning! While on the top deck reading a book, no one ever came up to ask if you'd like a drink! I found that the most puzzling. Wouldn't you want to make money?! Hard to give 3 stars, we loved it!

Upon checking with our Operations Team, we learnt that indeed there was a technical issue onboard and the registration sadly didn't go through. Pros: Crew was great overall. The bartenders/servers were fantastic. Breakfast was fine to good and met expectations. Croatia is a beautiful country and our tour guide/runner was a local that was very knowledgeable in this aspect. Cons: Lunch was in general, underwhelming for the cost. My wife is a health nut, and I saw her salt food for the first time in my life. When paying this premium on price I would expect the food to be more elevated, or at least more enjoyable. The video implied more access to the boat than we received. Several small requests - like opening windows, screens, etc were denied and the requests themselves often felt as if we were asking the staff to move mountains. Tour guide was not particularly friendly, often had condescending responses to guests, & occasionally left out vital info when visiting particular islands (i.e cash only). Unfortunately, the experience on the cheaper options is probably more reflective of the value you receive on the Elegance line.

1) Omit overnight on day 7 of trip. End the trip after lunch on day 6. This eliminates unreasonably early check out on day 7 and also makes it easier for a guest to check in to their hotel in DBV without having to wait until 12:00 or 13:00 check in time. 2) Onshore excursion options need clear explanation in pretrip communication. Example: I was not told that a scenic bus tour and a walking tour of DBV was available, so I booked them in advance with Viator. If I had known I would have gone on the onshore excursion instead. 3) Include the use of one pannier on the bike. 4) Include written instructions for charging the bike battery and operating the ebike. 5) There were three outlets in the cabin. That is insufficient to charge two bike batteries plus two phones plus hearing aids, etc. A simple multi-plug adapter can fix this issue. 6) Guide must not make promises he doesn't keep. Example: A military tour was promised on one island (Vis?) but was never delivered.

While this was somewhat of a good experience, there was too much down time, internet reception was extremely poor and whilst the crew were friendly enough they did not seem to want to go above and beyond, then at the end of the cruise, we were nearly shamed in to giving a tip, it was most uncomfortable.

Whilst I enjoyed the Sail Croatia cruise, it was disappointing in a lot of ways and I definitely wouldn't do it again. The crew and boat/activities manager were fantastic. They were super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Ivana who was amazing! The food served on board was average for I would have expected for what we paid. The boat lacked atmosphere in the sense that they dont play music, which in Croatia I read that music is a big part of their culture so I expected to have the ambience of soft Croatian music playing whilst on the boat, towards the end they started to play some after getting the hint. I am disappointed that Hvar is listed on the website that it has an "incredible nightlife". The island has since changed but should not continue to be faulsely advertised by SailCroatia. I also find it offensive to be expected to give tips after dropping $6,000 aud on a cruise, Sail Croatia you should pay your excellent staff a proper wage and not expect tourist's to do it for you.

Food quality - Near prison food. Fish was dry, food unseasoned at all. Your best dishes were soup and 1 pasta meal. Drink prices - total rip off your drink prices rivalled Hvar.. Communication * This involves calling hvar the party island even though it is no longer as such, also being told 2 days before the end of the trip we could order eggs for breakfast..* Pay your workers decent wages. Being told that they are paid less because tips are expected is a joke. Your not America. Tips are standard in a terrible country like America to get around the fact they have shitty minimum wage laws. If you offered me this trip again for free I would refuse. I also will be letting anyone who ever asks me about sailing through Croatia not to bother. They would be better off organising a private car / ferry transportation to a select few islands that would still end up cheaper than the price you charge.

It was evident from the start the crew member had no experience and very little English. He didn't even know what vodka was. Apparently the fridge was down so we couldn't get ice or cold white wine. Beer was ok. He did not bring drinks during the meals and did not know how to clear dishes. Food was good but cold. Cabin was good but our toilet in ran the entire week although we had asked crew to fix it 4 times. We turned off the water to the tank between uses. We would have preferred to travel to our locations in the evening instead of waking up to engines starting at 5:30:or 6:00 am every day!

The food. No need for a 3 course meal at lunchtime. How about a salad type buffet. Anyway, the quality of the food left much to be desired(too stodgy. Breakfast hot food wasn’t kept warm Cabin was good, especially the shower No swimming spots as advertised Sail Croatia staff excellent, crew not so Bicycling very good. Excellent concept

The whole schedule felt very rushed. Once we reached each island we invariably had very little time to enjoy the destination of our cycle ride - which at times was quite arduous especially for those without e-bikes - before returning to the boat for lunch. The food provided was generally poor with limited fruit available at breakfast and no means of keeping the hot food hot for anyone who didn’t arrive at breakfast promptly at the start. The three course meal served at lunchtime with a hot main seemed totally inappropriate when a more relaxed cold buffet would have been preferred by most on board. Sometimes we were given no time to explore particular port as we had to cycle to the other side of the island to meet the boat in time for lunch and there were no impromptu swim stops off the boat as shown in your videos. On the whole I did really enjoy the week - the crew and guides were excellent although a little more flexibility from the captain would have been appreciated.

This September has been unusually challenging weather-wise, and our team worked hard to adapt routes to ensure we could still deliver a great cycling experience. Regarding food provided onboard, our chefs aim to provide a variety of meals using fresh, local produce, and we have found with the small kitchen space onboard the 3 courses work best and produce less food waste than lunch buffets. We generally receive high ratings for our onboard meals - with a score of 4.64 out of 5 throughout the entire 2024 season on our Premier Ships. Breakfast hours to be extended with better coffee, too weak! Shouldn’t have to purchase at ar to get good coffee. Overall the food needs improvement, meat was overcooked & repetitive. Also need to provide water in the cabins to be readily available especially through the night. Cabins could use updating, get rid of carpeting. Also replace lumpy pillows & improve mattress. Also provide snacks outside of meal hours or to purchase at bar. Lastly Captain’s dinner is nice idea but the entertainment overtook everything & too long, people couldn’t socialize as a result of being too loud. Our cruise Director & staff were good to us

The trip exceeded my expectations in some respects - we had the most wonderful crew who went out of their way to navigate around bad weather to ensure we could continue to cycle. They went beyond their call of duty. The aspects I believe could have been better in particular, is the food. The offering is tremendous in quantity but lacks sophistication and creativity. I was looking forward to having a Mediterranean experience but if fell short. Why serve mostly apples and bananas when figs and grapes were in season and readily available. The coffee machine was not working, and no cappuccinos was on offer but rather just brewed coffee. I trust that effort in this area could go a long way to improve the overall experience. All in all, it was an enjoyable trip in a wonderful country with exquisite crew members.

The so called premier ship was nothing like, much smaller than expected, the cabins were small and several needed attention. However the Captain and crew were very good at their job with boat and passenger safety spot on. They were all very friendly and helpful, with the male crew having to man handle over 30 bikes on and off the boat at every port, well done them. The cycle tours were rather disappointing as there were over 30 cyclist of varying ability, the front runners would be way ahead leaving the slower ones way behind. Not enough stops to enjoy the wonderful scenery and a chance for photos, ☹️ 25.00€, in cash, per person to enter the Mljet National Park, bit steep to cycle around the lakes, no stops to enjoy! Cycle guides would stop and give a little talk about the history of which ever island we were on. The food on the boat was OK but far too much at lunch time, so lots of waste, shame. The weather was not the best but that is not a fault! ⛈️ It was an experience for sure!

Sail Croatia needs a boat dedicated to solo only travellers. My experience was fun and thoroughly enjoyed it although it was somewhat difficult to socialize with others as they were glued to their friend until roughly day 5 where everyone started to branch out and really connect as a group.

For the price that you pay which is quite exorbitant I don’t think this experience lives up to the cost or the hype. While the crew and the staff on board as well as the guide are absolutely lovely and the service was great the boat is old, creaky and smelly.. The air-conditioning barely worked and people complained non-stop about the Aircon not working. There were no fans even on deck which are desperately needed to combat the unbearable European summer heat. Unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations and certainly not to the reviews I’ve seen on site. The boats need full renovations and need to be fully updated in order for them to be able to get a higher rating.

Booking system, we booked 6 mths in advanced, requested an above cabin but was told none available, several passengers got above cabin and only booked weeks in advance. Also check the actual names on the booking, we were husband and wife, they thought 2 females so got single beds! Food - very basic, military/camp style. Lots of hearty foods for colder weather, minimal salads or fresh foods, it was summer! It doesn't take much to be creative and add some flare to the meals - fresh herbs, chopped fresh fruit not tinned fruit salad!!!!! Cocktails - needs attention to detail - use proper cocktail glasses, get the fruit and decorations, make it an experience we want to repeat. Also very costly, if cheaper with flare more would have been bought. Option for more group activities, especially in the evenings. Offer group dinner on the last night. I'm sure there are plenty of restaurants in Split that would welcome a group of 30+ or you have a business relationship with that could offer this.

At the time of your booking, we only had Lower Deck cabins available which is what you booked. Our availability does change quickly based on any cancellations and new bookings that we receive, so we always encourage our travellers to check back with us in case of an opening. It is also possible to upgrade whilst on the cruise when there is availability. You simply needed to liaise with your onboard representative who would have been happy to facilitate this for you. We apologize for the mix-up regarding the genders of your travelling party. We will ensure that our team is more attentive to such details to avoid similar situations. This however had no bearing regarding the bed type in your cabin as any particular bedding needs to be requested to us as a preference. I have checked our correspondence with yourself and I was unable to locate any double bed preference advised to our sales team. We appreciate your feedback on the food selection. Our aim is to provide meals that cater to a wide range of tastes and dietary needs, but we understand that in summer, guests may prefer lighter options. We do appreciate your suggestions for more group activities, particularly in the evenings, and the idea of a group dinner on the final night is fantastic. We have certainly passed all your comments to our relevant teams as these insights and suggestions will help us improve, and we look forward to the opportunity to welcome you back on board in the future.
Some more thought into the details would be recommended. I.e having food that suits the cultures on board/having an option for those that don’t eat fish/seafood for example. Some rooms Air Con didn’t work Some of the decisions and recommendations for activities dinner etc seemed strange and almost like there were “kick backs” or back scratching for certain places vs others. (Some of the organised dinner recommendations weren’t good) Lots/most of the activities that we saw online were not available. The boat owner needs to be much more friendly, less grumpy and controlling. Some of the logistics around swimming stops were obviously just to suit the boat and to be the most fuel/time efficient, which meant we were sometimes docked too early or swimming with boats passing by, not the crystal clear water advertised. Some of the staff were doing the bare minimum. The rep has potential but was barely engaging with the guests above giving a talk each day after lunchtime.

We certainly do take food preferences and dietary requests onboard - we do ask our customers to let us know in advance if you have preferences and these are passed onto the Chef onboard. The boat has everything from under 18 to 65 year Olds plus. Given we spend most of the time on the boat it's frustrating that you put people who have limited interest groups or different stages of life. We were told this was suited to 30 to 40 year Olds. The experiences and tours were all for old people and the boat has very limited toys or experiences so all you can do is eat bad food, sunbake and drink to put up with the small talk - give more information to people prior to joining as Croatia is lovely but this isn't a great way to do it

It really depends on the group & crew that makes the trip. The bartender on the boat wasn't the most pleasant and the chef was horrible. I knew going on the boat that the food was not going to be the best but it was horrible. Also, I didn't like how we didn't have to much free time and the swim spots were okay, nothing great either. Overall, the trip was okay.

Sail Croatia really let me down with my experience by not mixing the people on our boat. Out of 30 people there were 29 women (13 of which were one big group that were not very interested in socialising outside of their group) the one male was a partner of the only couple on the boat. I believe variety in people would have most definitely improved everyone's experience. While our tour manager was absolutely lovely and kind I was disappointed with their lack of knowledge of Croatia in general. Unfortunately their inexperience showed when they struggled to comand respect and order when addressing the group. This showed when organising activities or even getting people excited meet up to learn about our beautiful scenic stops. The crew onboard were so lovely and accommodating. The food was great. After stopping at a few ports and seeing the variety in types of Sail Croatia Boats I was also disappointed that when booking I was not given options to upgrade to a boat with better facilities.

The bedrooms need a major upgrade they’re a sauna and the boat is in need of maintenance as water leaked through the roof in the dining whilst eating lunch

Dear Jack, Thank you for leaving us with your review. Our Standard Ships are popular with budget conscious, independent travellers on extended travels throughout Europe. Our Premier and Ensuite ships offer the added benefit of air-condtioned cabins compared to our Standard ships which you chose to travel on. We regret any issues experienced during your cruise. It is common for the more traditional, wooden ships, which are full of charm and history, to face occasional leaks during severe weather conditions, which was unfortunately experienced in the small part of the dining room during your week. Your comments help us in our ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance our vessels. Thank you.
Overall I was quite satisfied with our boat, including our cabin. The crew members were friendly and helpful as were the leaders of the cycling trips. who did an amazing job, both on land and on sea. Areas where I would like to see improvement include having a Keurg in the dining area where it would be possible to get a cup of coffee earlier than a half hour before breakfast. Provide the cooked breakfast food hot. Lighter entrees with local seasonings would improve lunch entrees. A glass of wine served with the Captain's Dinner would be appropriate. Name tags for all should be provided and worn at least early in the trip. Include the day, Monday, Tuesday, etc., along with the name of the Island and towns where there will be stops. I hope my suggestions are helpful.

Meals and cycling should receive separate ratings. Our biking experience was better than we could have anticipated. Milah was professional and delightful. Andre was a great host and server; however, meal times degraded the experience for us. Breakfasts were never served hot, and lunches often consisted of lots of heavy noodles with heavy cream sauce and tenderized meat. Portions were always large, but the food was generally unappealing. We'd read reviews about gourmet fare on this experience and found nearly universally unappealing meals. The Captain's meal demonstrated the cook's capacity to make fine food, but it had been hiding until then. I would heartily recommend Sail Croatia for the challenging cycling experience, but would warn potential participants that meal time may more closely resemble a teenager's summer camp experience than an upscale adult experience.
