The staff, crew, tour leaders and guests on this boat were a fantastic bunch. Loved every minute. Had an issue with my room. Not what I was expecting for the price and supplement but that wasn’t going to spoil my trip. Boat was great, bar area very social. George n Danilo were great and George’s food was very good. Danny on the bar was the best barman very efficient and fun. Ivancic and Mario were a superb team, we have cycled with Ivancic before. He will never let you down he’s a very focussed customer driven guide. Very trustworthy. We’d like to return but we have visited most of the islands on your itinerary’s… any chance you could mix it up abit? Thanks again. Great holiday x

This tour is a great blend of cruising and riding. The guides, Miranda and Ana, were attentive to a fault, doing their best to keep everyone happy., as were the ship's crew. Guides and crew themselves seemed delighted to be there! The ship, the Mali Ante, was beautiful, clean, and well-run. The riding was well-planned, taking us along relatively easy routes in the countryside, and giving us a taste of many towns and villages, The meals were sumptuous and lovingly prepared. Someone considering this tour should know: - the rides are short, on average, so if they want more focus on cycling, this may not be the tour for them - the saddles for the e-bikes are hard and flat, so it might be an idea to bring a gel cover for comfort - the crew does smoke, and the smoke seems to come into some of the rooms at times, through the ventilation system. - the meals were very meat-heavy Altogether, with these caveats, this was a beautiful tour, thoroughly enjoyed by all.
- Anne, 11/06/2025 05:59, Travelled with Friend/s
The locations and crew were outstanding. Our guides Mario and Marin were full of knowledge and stressed safe riding. The crew on the boat were also very good. The booking process was less than stellar. My son and I were assigned a room with one double bed, not two singles. Since are large people, it did not work. He slept under the bed. Booking knew the assignment but would not/could not change it. Serious screw up by the office staff.
- Larry, 30/05/2025 15:08, Travelled with Family
Hi Larry, thank you for your review and for your kind words about our guides and crew – we’re delighted you enjoyed the overall experience. We regret to read about your booking experience. As outlined in our FAQs, cabin types vary by ship and are based on 2 people sharing – with configurations including twin beds, bunk beds, or one double bed. Whilst preferences can be requested at booking, we cannot guarantee specific layouts due to each ship’s unique cabin setup and limited availability. Final cabin allocations are confirmed a week before departure. We appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again.
1) Smaller group! With that many riders (32) the faster riders, some of whom would have ridden even faster if allowed, spent way too much time waiting for the slower riders. This was the case on the uphills, the downhills, and the level rides. People ride at different speeds, regardless of terrain or type of bike. 2) Longer, full-day rides. One day was only 10 km, which is ridiculous.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review and share your feedback following your recent Cycle Cruise with us. We're always grateful to hear from our guests, as it helps us continuously improve the experience we offer. We're sorry to hear that the group size and varying riding speeds impacted your enjoyment. Our Cycle Cruises are designed as guided group experiences, and as such, we aim to accommodate a wide range of cycling abilities. To manage this, each ride is led by two experienced guides—one at the front and one at the back—ensuring no one is left behind and that the group remains safe and supported throughout the journey. We appreciate your comments regarding the distance of some rides. Please note that all daily itineraries, including ride durations and distances, are made available in advance of booking. This allows guests to choose the trip that best matches their expectations and ability. Some days do feature shorter rides for safety, logistical, or scenic reasons, and all routes are carefully risk assessed to suit the group setting. While we understand that some guests may prefer longer or more individually tailored rides, our Cycle Cruises are intentionally designed as shared adventures—focused on group camaraderie, support, and exploration at a pace suitable for a diverse range of participants. That said, we do value your input and will take your feedback into consideration as we continue to refine our itineraries and offerings. We thank you again and we hope to welcome you again in the future on another journey!
The cycle guides Miranda and Matilda were great, very helpful and friendly. The rides were good The boat was ok but lacked sun loungers and cushions, also not enough chairs for everyone
- Steve, 26/05/2025 05:46, Travelled with Friend/s
The ship was in great shape and the Captain very skilled. the crew worked hard to make our week a fun/safe time and they succeeded. However, meals are a big part of our annual boat and bike trips. Here they failed. The meals were far too heave generally and the BBQ night was substandard with much meat and few veggies...and they were buried under all that meat. The meal was awful. Equally as bad was the captains dinner of steak that was unchewable...oh, the coffee was worse than any I had in the Navy and I didnt thimk that woukd ever be possible...undrinkable sludge..this boat & bike towr tour 7th as a group. It was the also the first to not put out a nice happy hour food spread...only pretzels and biscuits. All in all, I won't recommend this trip .
- Dennis, 21/05/2025 13:13, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for taking the time to review us! We’re delighted to hear that you found our Captain very skilled, our crew hardworking, and the ship in a great condition. It’s always rewarding to know our team contributed to a safe and enjoyable experience. We're truly sorry to learn that the food during the Captain's dinner and BBQ did not meet your expectations. We understand how important meals are in shaping the overall travel experience. Your comments regarding the menu containing too much meat and poor quality of coffee are especially valuable, and we’ll be sharing them with our team as we work to refine and expand our offerings to better cater to a wider range of dietary preferences and expectations. While we regret that your experience didn't leave you feeling confident to recommend us based on the meals provided, we appreciate your honesty. Feedback like yours plays a crucial role in helping us to improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future with enhancements that reflect your input.

- Jacob, 19/05/2025 15:48, Travelled with Friend/s
Our guide Tonka was fantastic. The boat was clean and the crew was friendly and extremely competent. The group size was too large for me (30) and we ended up having to stop for long periods while we waited for non-e-bike riders to catch up. I found this frustrating and believe the two bike types need to be separated in mountainous terrain. We had a sun deck on our boat but there were no chairs or any way to sit on it. It only had permanent sunbathing pads fixed to the deck. That was a disappointment as there was not seating anywhere outside for the entire group. The boat maintenance needed a bit of improvement as multiple lights in our cabin did not work and the air conditioner never cooled the room. Croatia was gorgeous and the ride routes were fantastic. Food was good and the bikes were very comfortable and well maintained. I would not use Sail Croatia again unless they separate the bike types and have smaller group offerings or split the group with two lead guides.
- Thann, 14/05/2025 15:05, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Thann, thank you for your 4-star review. We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the stunning Croatian scenery, the quality of the bikes, the meals served and that Tonka and our crew made a positive impression. We value your insights and will be reviewing the points you've raised regarding group sizes, bike type separation, deck seating, and cabin maintenance. Feedback like this is essential in helping us maintain the high standards we strive for. We're continually reviewing our operations to ensure the best possible experience for all guests, and your input helps us refine how we manage mixed-ability groups on tour and improve our overall services. Thank you again for your comments — they help us create a better experience for all our guests.
I felt that while the guides did an exemplary job. The large number of cyclists (29) in the group was dangerous. The group should have been split into two. Complimentary tea and coffee while on board would have been appreciated. Other cycling tours we’ve been on gave out water bottles which are fun to have and a source of advertising for the company.
- Marion, 12/05/2025 10:51, Travelled with Family
Hi Marion, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear that you found our guides exemplary - their passion and professionalism are something we’re proud of. Regarding your concern about the group size, we understand that safety is a top priority, and it is for us also. That’s why we always ensure there are two experienced guides on each ride – one leading at the front and one supporting at the back – to manage the group effectively and maintain safety throughout the journey. We appreciate your suggestions about complimentary refreshments and branded water bottles. These are great ideas, and we’re always looking for ways to enhance our guests’ experience, so your input has been noted for future planning. Thank you again for riding with us – we value your insights and hope to welcome you back on another tour soon.
The staff could not have been more helpful, the guides were knowledgeable and were quick to make changes when the weather demanded it. However charging €40 for a bottle of sparkling wine that retails at £6 is outrageous.
- Colin, 12/05/2025 10:14, Travelled with Family
nice group 50 to 80 years old friendly people. Great bike rides on beautiful island boat ok, no sailing - there are no sails. friendly and helpfull staff
- Susanne, 20/10/2024 15:19, Travelled with Friend/s
Our guides Miranda and Tonia were the best! They were encouraging and helpful and knowledgeable! The boat was nice however I might mention a few things they could improve. Be more transparent about pricing of drinks. Choices of breakfast food could be better. Like more fruit and better toaster. Squeegee for showers to help with humidity in the rooms. Better WiFi in rooms. The ports were amazing and captain was great at parking the boat! I love Croatia and the people who live there are friendly and kind! We will be back!

Our tour hosts Ivan and Lucija were wonderful hard working guides. Thanks. Lucy and the rest of the kitchen staff were amazing. Thanks. The ship, crew and captain were amazing. Thanks. To be at a beautiful Croatian port, on the Adriatic sea in the morning and not allowed to have any type of coffee on the ship till 7:30 is a sad fact.
- Rob, 09/10/2024 16:36, Travelled with Friend/s
The other cyclists on board made this holiday so much fun. They were all so friendly and easy going. All with a sense of adventure and fun. Having never visited Croatia before I was blown away by its beauty. A truly amazing holiday. I will definitely be back.

I enjoyed the sail/cycle cruise immensely and would do it again in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity. Our tour guides, Lola and Dora, were the very best we could have hoped for. They went above and beyond to make our time enjoyable, especially as we had to change the planned itinerary due to the weather. I can't speak highly enough of them, and the crew on our boat 'Columbia' from 14 to 21 September. Thank you!
- Caroline, 04/10/2024 11:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Lots of great people on this trip including two great guides and the ships crew. The biking was challenging and fun though 32 people are rather a lot to organize. The boat was not as good as we hoped, but probably our fault as we thought we had gone premium plus rather than premium. Cabins were very small and the food was OK but not great.
- Peter, 02/10/2024 23:12, Travelled with Friend/s
Friendly staff. Well organized guides. Clean ship
- Anonymous, 02/10/2024 08:07, Travelled with Family
Travelled with a group of 12. Overall a great experience,. Although, we all felt rushed when riding , I can appreciate that when on a boat there are things we don’t know that may cause the riding time to be rushed, like having to deal with weather and docking times. These things should be taken in to consideration when choosing routes and times of riding. More time for sightseeing and swimming would have made my experience a lot better. The crew and guides did an amazing job. Would definitely refer friends to Sail Croatia.
- Debbie, 30/09/2024 07:30, Travelled with Friend/s
The cabins were cold and the first nigt on board the boat we could hardly sleep due to the chill in the cabin. We could not control the tempreture in the cabin. The cabin had lower standard than we expected. The food served on board was not good.Breakfast was good but lunch and grill could have been better.. I had the feeling during the trip that we were alwayes in a hurry. and the cykling tours not relaxed. Not much time for fotos or to observe the scenery etc. Nevertheless we enjoyed the trip. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times.
- Pall, 26/09/2024 17:53, Travelled with Family
Hi Pall, thank you for sharing your feedback with us. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your trip and found our staff friendly and helpful, though we're sorry to learn that some aspects didn't meet your expectations. Regarding the temperature in your cabin, we’d like to mention that the AC units onboard also have a heating function. Our Onboard Rep would have been more than happy to assist with this, had they been made aware of your discomfort. We appreciate your feedback on the meals. While breakfast met expectations, we'll pass your comments on to our team regarding the lunches served. In terms of the cycling pace, our Cycle cruises are designed for the more active traveler who enjoys a faster-paced itinerary. However, for those seeking a more relaxed experience with plenty of time to take in the scenery and capture photos, we offer other options such as our Explorer or Elegance cruises. These might be more suited to a leisurely travel experience in the future. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope to welcome you back onboard soon for another adventure.
As the weather was inclement to keep to the original itinerary, the crew and tour guides were awesome in adapting our itinerary and cycle routes. The places they ported were just as amazing and beautiful.
- Kylie , 23/09/2024 16:37, Travelled with Friend/s
Best way to see Croatia by Boat and Bike. Biking tge islands on ebikes is the only way to go!!! Fantastic. Staff and Crew were awesome. Food was Great. Chef was awesome and full of exuberance. I only downgraded to 4 stars due to Cabin comfort. Need better air circulation and climate control for sleeping.
- John, 23/09/2024 10:06, Travelled with Friend/s
I was very happy with the tour. The crew was happy going and all operations were smooth, The guides were well qualified, engaged and expressed kindness towards the the guests every day of the tour. Indeed a very good experienced, the second time I go with Sail Croatia in the beautiful area. My suggestions are: 1) Slow down the bike tours, make more brief stops to enjoy the splendor of nature. 2) Make the diet more in accordance with environmental and dietary recommendation (less meat, more vegetables and fruits). Furthermore, take measures to reduce food wast. As a first step, measure the food waste on board and calculate how much it costs. 3) Express your concern for nature in the selections of all materials and operation; including detergents, sorting of waste, motor efficiency; even the use of sails when possible. 4) Improve considerably the quality of the coffee you serve. For many people a good cup of coffee makes even a rainy day bright and sunny.

This is a well organised & experienced company who deliver what they claim. We visited scenic port villages, ate well, did some cycling (not as much as we wanted due to inclement weather) and made new friends from around the world. The crew & guides worked really hard to meet the varied needs of the guests.
- Frank, 19/09/2024 05:23, Travelled with Friend/s
We loved the bicycle part of the trip and the beautiful stops at night. Some of our itinerary changed due to bad weather and port issues, but the crew and guides worked to make it a good experience, and it was.. However guests got seasick. My only problem was caused by jumping into the water from the top of the boat, and that was due to my poor judgment. Swimming in the sea was fun!
- Kay, 16/09/2024 04:38, Travelled with Friend/s
Fabulous trip great meeting people worldwide the islands we stopped at were amazing tour was well a organised food was ok drinks were very expensive on the boat I think a lot more drinks would be served if this was not so excessive also hidden costs should be told up front paying for national parks and also the city tax was a lot more expensive than hotels city tax ?why ? we paid 3 times more than normal city tax when i questioned this I was told this was for staff for lifting bikes on and off ? is that not part of the holiday fees? need to be up front to people with all these charges shame only thing that put dampner on an exciting holiday
- mario, 15/09/2024 18:42, Travelled with Friend/s
Dear Mario, Thank you for your recent 4 star review. I'm pleased to see you had a fabulous time on-board your recent Cycle Cruise, and you appreciated the organisation of the tour. We do advise on our FAQS, and also your Online Account that there is a "A local payment of 40 Euros per person is payable onboard your Sail Croatia Cruise. This payment incorporates port fees and tourist taxes throughout the week and is subject to change." so that is not a surprise to guests when on-board the cruise. Thank you for your feedback on the food and drinks, this is appreciated and will be passed onto our Operations Team. We do appreciate you as a valued customer of ours and are glad the feedback raised in your review did not deter you from having a great time on board. We hope to welcome you again in the future!
More info ahead of time about boarding place and process. Better communication about the agenda, activities etc. Maybe a "white board" with cycling distances, times, degree of difficulty, planned stops etc. Also, more info ahead for non cyclists and which stops we were having dinner on our own. Announcements were not made ahead of time and were difficult to hear with engines running. More time to explore port towns. Especially Brac....no time after the ride to see the port. Food and crew were fantastic. Trip was fantastic and the rides were great

Landscape and surroundings were wonderful. Bicycle trips were very nice - I only regret having more time to take photos on the way. Staff on board were helpful and charming. And the best part:: getting to know and make friends with other international guests were fantastic!

Loved the islands and the sea was amazing. Our trip, in August, made for really hot biking but great swimming. The tour ran like a clockwork schedule. The right mix of hard work and down time. Our bike guide could have been a bit more personable. Food was great bur so much was a bit overwhelming. Because boats were anchored together with other boats overnight loud passengers crossing in and out often disturbed our sleep late into the night. A sign for "Quiet hours after 10pm" would have been great. Our room was very comfortable but more hooks on the walls are needed. Our stewardesses, Paula and Olga and our tour coordinator Mila were great as were the whole crew.
- stacey, 03/09/2024 09:11, Travelled with Friend/s
The combination of riding to touring was great. Last couple of days would have been nice to have some more cycling but I recognize this is dictated by the size of the island.
- Ian, 02/09/2024 12:17, Travelled with Friend/s
It was a lovely trip through the Dalmatian Islands, the cycling was challenging yet worthy, but I do think the bar prices on the boat could have been more competitive. We found ourselves preferring to be gathered in a bar or restaurant when we’d have rathered stay on board and have a drink on the top deck, etc. the dining room was often stiflingly hot, the AC may have been a good idea on some of the particularly hot days. The crew and staff were great, very efficient, and overall this was the best way to see this gorgeous country. Thank you!!
- Karen, 02/09/2024 04:37, Travelled with Friend/s
The crew was amazing. From Andre our server to Matek and Christiana the sailors, everyone was friendly, helpful and competent. The cabins were small and cramped. Not much storage space. But we were only in our cabins to sleep or shower. Katarina and Mila were excellent cycling guides. Meals were substantial- no need to ever go hungry! It would be great if there was some decent coffee at breakfast. The coffee was terrible! The cycling was made easier with the e-assist bikes. One suggestions is to divide the cycling groups. Those on e bikes and those on standard bikes. Those on e bikes were always waiting for the standard cyclists to catch up. It felt like we were constantly interrupting our ride.

The guides and boat staff where welcoming and fun to be with and being with like minded people

Great combination of bike time, boat time, and town time with friends old and new. Croatia is a beautiful country to visit. Guides and Crew were excellent.
- Trefor, 26/06/2024 17:10, Travelled with Friend/s
if you have a group of bikers and non-bikers, and want enough biking and cruising and hiking and walking for everyone, the cycle cruise is just the right mix. We found ourselves never really needing more of any one thing (especially food). The staff was amazing and really do everything they can to make sure you are always comfortable.
- Eliot, 24/06/2024 12:39, Travelled with Friend/s
The boat was very comfortable, the crew were excellent, the food was plentiful, the bikes were well organized and worked well. The rides were good with some challenges. We would of liked to have opportunities to take some more pictures of the country side and some pretty villages. The itinerary was obviously limited by the boats schedule in the harbors by the ports authorities. We really enjoyed the time on board.

Great Staff great ship .

Beautiful locations, the scenery was amazing. The E-bikes were a revelation it was as easy or as hard as you wanted it to be. The staff and boat crew were very friendly and hospitable. Wonderful way to spend a week in the Adriatic.

seeing all the beautiful sights of Croatia was amazing and the ebike made it all possible. I would have loved a little book/hand out of our bike paths and information about the culture in each area-It's not easy to remember everything the guides tell us. The room did smell a bit which was unpleasant and I wish we could've opened the windows. I wish we had more leisure time to explore the little towns. I loved the free coffee drinks on board and the staff was great. Loved having this experience staying on a beautiful boat- thank you!

Hi there, thank you for your 4-star review. We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you had an amazing time seeing Croatia's beautiful sights, the E-Bikes are certainly a great addition to a Cycle Cruise! Thank you for the feedback. At times if there is bad weather, smell can occur in the bathroom emitting from the shower drains. This is due to the movement of the ships on the water whereby this movement opens up airflow at the back of the pipe and into the bathroom. This is addressed in the Welcome Speech by the Sail Croatia Representative on board. Thank you for the kind words for the staff on-board, we will be sure to pass this on, and we hope to welcome you on-board again in the future.
We loved the boat and the travel guides on our trip to Croatia. Our itinerary was well planned, and our cycling guides were experienced and have been doing this for many years. The kitchen catered to our dietary requirements, vegetarian and vegan. Thankyou Sam Croatia team
- Shane, 01/05/2024 05:14, Travelled with Family
I really enjoyed the Sail Croatia cycling cruise. Andrej and Andro did an amazing job taking us for our cycling tour on each island we stopped at. They shared excellent information and history of each place we visited and having an e-bike made the cycling more enjoyable. The staff on the boat were friendly too. The only complaint I have is regarding the food. I was expecting a higher standard of meal and more variety of vegetables and different meats. There were a lot of fish meals. Sometimes the options for breakfast ran out before everyone had the chance to have some. This could be a particular flavour yoghurt or chocolate croissants. Towards the end of the week, black teabags ran out and were not replenished. This meant we went without. This was particularly disappointing as the cost to buy more would have been minimal. Apart from this, we all had a wonderful adventure.

Hi there, thank you for your 4-star review. We appreciate your feedback and are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the islands and found our guides, Andrej and Andro, to be excellent - providing you with a wealth of knowledge and insight into Croatian culture and history. In regards to the meals, were are saddened to hear you were not completely satisfied with the meals provided. All cruises include 3-course lunches, typically consisting of a starter, main course, and dessert, prepared with fresh, local produce. We value your input and will use your comments to ensure a wider variety of options are available in the future. We are disappointed to hear of the inconvenience you experienced with breakfast options and the shortage of black tea bags towards the end of the week. Your comments are duly noted, and we will work to improve these aspects of our service. Please note that upon request, our crew are more than happy to replenish this when required. We are pleased to hear that, aside from the dining concerns, you had a wonderful adventure with us. Your feedback helps us enhance the experience for future guests. Thank you once again for choosing Sail Croatia, and we hope to welcome you on board again in the future.
The staff were fantastic, we had wonderful weather and our room was better than expected. Andro and Andrej were fantastic, fun and informative guides. Cannot fault them at all. What was disappointing was the meals deteriorated as we got close to the end. We ran out of black tea bags 2 days before the end. Last night was a real fizzer, as we wanted to party with everyone, but we’re not allowed to play any music.

The staff was the number one reason for the rating The scenery was number two The route and the electric bike experience was number three The reason for it not being rated a five star was the dampness of the rooms, the fact that the shower did not drain properly, and the lack of good vegetarian offers.
- Jennifer, 16/10/2023 06:01, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Jennifer, thank you for your 4 star review. We are so pleased to read our staff took such great care of you and that you have enjoyed the scenery, itinerary and the bicycles provided. Upon checking our internal reports, there were no reports of issues regarding the dampness in your cabin and the shower not draining properly. We have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise onboard, which is outlined in your pre-departure information. Following this process ensures that no incident is left unreported and gives us the best chance to resolve this during the cruise for you. We thank you for your feedback regarding more vegetarian options. Feedback is very important to us so the points you've raised and suggestions you have made will be passed onto the Operations Manager. Thank you, this is very much appreciated. Thank you again for joining us!
Personally I love the organisation, the biking cruise was realky well calculated to enjoy the beauty of the islands without the extenuation of going on on our own.
- Marlene, 13/10/2023 12:01, Travelled with Friend/s
Our guides Evichia and Tonka were fantastic. Always accommodating and available to answer questions and address concerns.
- Paul, 11/10/2023 14:10, Travelled with Friend/s
The bikes, rides, swims and staff were great! Each day we took our ebikes on a guided ride through the various islands from Split to Dub. Breakfast and lunch on the boat was very good. Swimming at the beaches or off the boat was a definite highlight! The bedding and rooms on our particular boat could use a refresh.
- Anne, 10/10/2023 16:18, Travelled with Friend/s
The trip was an excellent value. The guides were good and the bikes were in great shape. Next time I do this trip it will not be in a below-deck cabin. My only other complaint is the dining salon is small and very noisy when full. It was much better when we could expand to the tables outside.
