A very enjoyable cruise. Crew was very friendly and helpful at all times. Food was excellant.

We had an amazing experience. The crew and Josko were great. The rooms were great spacious and clean. The boat was very clean and staff was attentive. Couple suggestions would be if there was a. Way to keep the breakfast hot as it was cold by the time we ate. Be nice to have. Coffee through out the day and it be available earlier. The plants on the tables were nice but to big. When paying our bar bill it was difficult as we never saw or get emailed a receipt to show the breakdown. That might be something we should get before leaving a printed one. The bar attendants were so fun. The lunches were amazing. Only meal was the veal that was not good. Swim stops were beautiful. And staff was great setting everything up for us.to enjoy the swim spots. Josko was great helping us find the best places to eat and answered other questions we had. If it was a full boat I don’t think the hot tub would have worked for 36 passengers. We were lucky to only have 16 on board. Thank you to all

We enjoyed the ship staff and meals; the ship could have been cooler in cabin but staff tried to make it as comfortable as possible. The floor of the ship needed some work but overall a great time!

An amazing week spent on Princess Diana yacht. Visited many beautiful islands and met some great people on board. Fantastic crew and guide, lovely food, cleanliness extremely good, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Would like to mention Sonya who was over and above expectations, especially when I was a little unwell when we first boarded. Definitely a holiday that will stay with me forever. Great big thank you to all staff on board. wonderful experience. will recommend this to family and friends.
- Ann Wistance, 04/08/2026 18:47, Travelled with Family
Excellent holiday with good room and great food. Staff were helpful and pleasant The only criticism is that the last day sailing was in Split and felt as though the holiday had ended 1 day early. I would have preferred to visit another island.
- Tracy, 17/07/2026 18:04, Travelled with Friend/s
Positives- The food and dining service were excellent throughout the trip. The information shared about the islands, local attractions, and recommended activities was very helpful and enhanced our experience. Hanna was exceptionally attentive, friendly, and always willing to help with restaurant reservations and excursion bookings. Her assistance was greatly appreciated. Overall, we were very satisfied with our cruise experience and had a wonderful time. Areas for Improvement- We noticed that some staff members were smoking in or near common guest areas. Relocating smoking to designated staff-only areas would help create a more comfortable environment for guests, especially those who are sensitive to cigarette smoke. One bartender, Cesar, came across as less welcoming than the rest of the crew during our interactions. A more friendly and approachable demeanor would further enhance the overall guest experience.

6 of us sailed on the Almissa the first week of July. Right from the start we were greeted with friendly staff members who met all of our needs and answered all of our questions. Hana was our guide/host for the week and she was amazing. She always checked in on passengers daily asking them what they had done the day before and what the plans were. She gave us a play by play of what to expect each day and answered questions and gave suggestions in a timely manner. She was outstanding. The boat was extremely clean and was big enough for all thirty plus passengers to find space if needed. The staff was friendly and assisted whenever needed. The food was also the best food I have had on the trip - even better than the restaurants. The pace of the trip was great. The only reason I did not give five stars, is that I wish drinks were included in the price or that a drink package could be bought. I would definitely suggest bringing snacks on board as they were not provided throughout.

It was amazing, Hanna & the crew were fantastic & the food was really good. Thankyou

What an amazing experience sailing around the beautiful islands of Croatia. Our trip started in Slpit & end ended in Dubrovnik. We stopped at 5 amazing islands along the way. The boat guide Andro was incredibly knowledgeable about each island’s history & what it had to offer and gave suggestions on activities and restaurants along the way. The crew were great however my only suggestion would be it lacked a female’s touch (all male crew) 😅. Eg room cleaning & also lack of salad at lunch time with massive serving of 3 course meal at lunch (the men very happy). I would highly recommend Sail Croatia it definitely exceeded our expectations.
- Kaz Easton, 07/07/2026 08:04, Travelled with Friend/s
Croatia is beautiful, I loved all the islands, Stari Grad and Mljet National Park were highlights. Tempera is due for a refurb next year, it's fine, but it does need some attention. The crew were great. As a pescatarian I was catered for, but hot breakfast items were all in the same serving dish - eggs tasted of sausages - I can cope with that, but many wouldn't. Overall, thoroughly enjoyable.
- Amanda, 06/07/2026 15:24, Travelled with Family
The Sail Croatia trip was great. Beautiful swim stops, interesting fellow travelers, and no shortage of food or drinks. Good value for money, and leaves you wanting more time in Croatia. A few things I would change: The amount of time spent in port towns. We were really only in a port during the late afternoons and at night, and it would have been really nice to have more daytime to explore the islands and towns. There's a lot of food waste on the boat. Every lunch had three courses, and they were huge and quite heavy. One or two courses, or the ability to opt in or out of certain courses, would reduce food waste. Also, the house wine on the boat was from two huge plastic jugs on the floor behind the bar. It was super sweet and undrinkable. It would have been nice to have the option for a glass of decent house wine, instead of having to purchase whole bottles.

This was are second Sail Croatia cruise. The first was fantastic. Out second was on the Contessa, and it is a new boat. As with some new things, such as homes, boats, there is a pick up list of things that need improvement. In our case there were three issues. The AC was not working well and basically managed the room to 30 degrees Celsius, the boats internet was very limited, only working in the dining area, and that was food quality and taste was average. One of the driving forces besides the beauty of Croatia of our return was exceptional food quality, preparation and value in our first cruise. The chefs were amazing, tantalizing us with great appetizers, main courses and deserts. Although an effort was made it was not near the level of our first cruise. I imagine Sail Croatia will rectify these start up issues but want to present the facts as they were for us to future customers.
- Brad, 26/06/2026 10:00, Travelled with Family
No what we expected but the country is beautiful many disappointments on the cruise
- David, 22/06/2026 22:19, Travelled with Family
I was somewhat disappointed and felt the overall experience to be a little lacking. While the air conditioning failed in some cabins and the crew did what they could to fix it was understandable, one guest complained and the Captain felt it necessary to berate all guests on board at dining. The excursions were less than what was advertised. The swim time was extremely long and cut into time that could have been spent on shore. We scheduled a pick up through our ship from our hotel to the ship for departure and then were not allowed on the ship for 2 hours in an area with no shelter, shopping or bathrooms. The coordinator of excursions missed the mark on helping acquire e-bikes along with knowledge of restaurants and distances to attractions. There were not enough deck chairs for the number of guests. The jacuzzi was filled only twice. Coffee was only available during breakfast hour or had to pay for it. Overall, the experience was not what we had hoped for or planned.
- Denise, 22/06/2026 22:07, Travelled with Family
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. While mechanical issues can occasionally arise unexpectedly, we're pleased that our crew responded promptly and worked hard to restore the AC as quickly as possible. We're sorry to hear that other aspects of the trip did not meet your expectations, and we appreciate your comments. Feedback such as yours is valuable and helps us continue to review and improve the guest experience.
Lovely boat and crew. Chef amazing. However did not enjoy being constantly exposed to cigarette smoke on only lower deck, especially when deck was enclosed.
- Dawn, 19/06/2026 00:49, Travelled with Family
This was a fabulous holiday! There are just three reasons I couldn't give it a perfect 5. 1. "Water toys"-having only 4 "floaties" when you have 36 people on board is not enough. On vacation, no one wants to jump is the sea and tread water for the duration of the swim stop. 2. The new Contessa is lovely. However, on the top deck there was not nearly enough loungers or chairs. People were having to share or go below deck. There was plenty of space for more. 3. It is a bummer that you advertise excursions to Explorer travelers but they actually do not happen or are not reccomended. We were excited on day 1 to go river rafting but once on board heard that that actually wasn't an excursion. Same with canoeing-said you "could" go, but that it was a very bad experience. Better tour operators or excursions need to be sourced. Lola was super and responsive. Martin and Neno amazing employees! Chef Bane and Marko fab. Charlie and Tino fun on deck, and maids were wonderful.

Fun
- Anonymous, 16/06/2026 00:01, Travelled with Friend/s
The seven night cruise in Croatia was an enjoyable experience. We saw different islands, daily swims and enjoyed the staff. The food was good and was typical Croatian food, lots of meat. If you are vegetarian they will accommodate you. If you like to float on a float during the swim stops bring your own floatation as there are limited choices.. Couple things I would change are the mattresses on the beds. They were very lumpy and hard on my body. I think more towels should be given to the passengers as they only do one exchange for the entire week.
- Anonymous, 15/06/2026 13:52, Travelled with Friend/s
It was good, but they have things to improve, like the air conditioning not working, the cancellation of multiple activities due to the weather, the captain's absence due to "illness" (though he seemed perfectly fine the other days), and having a bartender drunk almost 50% of the time. But the accommodations were very good, the food was very good, and the main day was excellent.
- Anonymous, 26/05/2026 20:39, Travelled with Family
The crew was amazing. They were quick to change activities due to weather condition's. I would highly recommend this tour group. Very fun and informative.
- Anonymous, 17/05/2026 11:26, Travelled with Family
The tour guide Visco was excellent and also all the crew. The food was lovely. The boat is a little old, but. Was still great.
- Julie Andrew , 11/05/2026 06:09, Travelled with Friend/s
Dino, our tour manager was lovely and very responsive to our questions and requests. He often responded within a minute and was already taking action on our request. He was very knowledgeable about each location and gave us a daily briefing. The ship was beautiful and the staff friendly. Due to rough seas the itinerary had to be changed and we did not visit Vis, but instead went to Omiš, which was a lovely town with stunning landscapes and some exciting excursion options! They handled the itinerary changes gracefully and seamlessly. I've deducted one star as there were a few quirks along the way that could have made the stay more pleasant: The ship has AC, but only when the AC is turned on as a whole, so for the first couple nights and the last night our room was a nearly unbearable 77-80°F at night, there were a couple days where housekeeping came into the room, but the room was only partially done, like 1 out of 3 beds done. All in all it was an enjoyable experience though!
- Lori, 14/10/2025 13:03, Travelled with Family
Traveling with Sail Croatia was an experience that was more than " just a cruise" where you are one of hundreds or thousands on a massive ship. It wasn't perfect, but I look back on the friendships we made, the cozy feel of the ship and I'm left with special memories of our time on the Adriatic. When we arrived in Split and were faced with two massive cruise ships at port, I was so thankful for the choice we made. Dino, our cruise director, was a very relatable, friendly guy who responded quickly with our questions. The crew were all very nice! I rated it 4/5 mainly because of a few issues such as ventilation in the cabin that made it uncomfortable for a few days. Otherwise, it would be 5/5!
- Suzanne , 14/10/2025 12:34, Travelled with Family
My husband and I loved the itinerary, and all the friends we made on board. 7 days of stunning swim stops, time to read a book or play a game of dice. Dino was a great help advising and setting up activities at each stop. The food was great! The boat is a bit dated, but I feel it was a fantastic value for the price.
- Becky, 24/09/2025 01:29, Travelled with Friend/s
On our recently completed trip from Dabrovnic to Split for 7 days, Although the "Tempera" ship requires some strong maintenance repairs and surface repairs, the experience beyond that was incredible for a first time cruise guest on that size and style of a ship. Our Cruise Manager Sasha was the most friendly, knowledgeable management team member that leads the way in customer relations and makes all guests feel like a family member. The Captain and crew provide a constant team effort of providing services of any nature while at sea or when at dock daily. We were fortunate to have a dining room / bar drink service leader in "Max", his efforts exemplify professionalism customer service. The most valuable aspect of this specific cruise trip was the personal relationships built in a very short order of time (from day 1) of the other guests. This size of a ship and the areas of common use created an experience like no other, for the friendships that were created, we thank you.

Very knowledgeable cruise manager/guide and great, hardworking staff
- Paul, 25/08/2025 14:06, Travelled with Family
We specifically picked this boat for the hot tub which never worked for the entire trip. Very disappointed by this. We expected more regional dishes for lunch ie more seafood. Most meals were red meat based. The cabin bathrooms were far from clean. The floor under the sink was filthy and shower grout was in need of a cleaning. Really can’t say enough about the staff, super friendly and helpful and the itinerary was fantastic. All the stops were beautiful.
- Robin, 25/08/2025 00:40, Travelled with Family
Hi Robin, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this season. I am pleased to see your kind words regarding the staff and carefully planned itinerary, it is great to read you enjoyed all of the beauty Croatia has to offer. We appreciate your more constructive feedback on the food. Red meat is very popular in Croatian cuisine, but I will pass your feedback regarding meals on board onto the relevant team. I'm sorry that the hot tub was not working during your cruise with us, Robin. Thank you for joining us this summer!
This was our second Sail Croatia experience, and it was just as fantastic as the first. The crew was exemplary, and special thanks must go to our wonderful Cruise Director, Ana. Her attention to detail and genuine enthusiasm ensured every aspect of our trip was a memorable adventure. I would have no hesitation in recommending Sail Croatia to anyone seeking a unique and unforgettable holiday. The only minor issue we encountered was with the cabin allocation. While this didn't detract significantly from our overall enjoyment, a more thoughtful approach to cabin assignments could have elevated the experience from a four-star cruise to a truly exceptional one.

Our boat manager Klara was amazing. She was so great made sure everyone had a wonderful time. She answered all of our questions and was so much help. The food on board was amazing. The swim stops were beautiful and it was very relaxing. Everything was taken care of for us.

hi! unfortunately, the experience didn't align with what i expected. a few examples... - we were on a sailboat chartered by a company named Sail Croatia, I expected we'd sail at some point. I was disappointed to learn upon boarding that the sails hadn't been raised in years. Instead, we awoke to a running engine every morning. - I expected lots of swimming and time in the water along the Croatian coast. Instead, swimming was limited to just an hour or two per day. - Because the boat didn't have a tinder, we couldn't pull up to beaches on those swim stops and could only exit the boat in larger port cities - Instead of offering hot breakfast for an hour and continental breakfast beyond that, passengers could only access food from 8am-9am and were told to snack on a banana if they missed that short window. the boat captain was wonderful and the crew exceptional, the itinerary and schedule were not.
- gina, 27/06/2025 22:10, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Gina, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re really pleased to hear you had a positive experience with the captain and crew, they will be very happy to hear your kind words. We're however truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. As per our website, our vessels are traditional-style sailboats and they primarily operate under engine power for reliability and scheduling purposes. That said, we do offer sailing holidays with our Private Yacht Tours. On these tours, you will use a dinghy to go ashore, to the beach and within secluded bays, so perhaps this was more the experience you were looking for rather than one of our cruises you had booked. In terms of swim stops and beach access, we aim to offer daily swim opportunities, where possible. The ships do need to keep to a schedule, and take into consideration sailing times, weather, port traffic and other activities planned, so the time guests have to swim from the ship does need to be limited. Once the ship arrives into port, the islands have many beaches and locations for swimming, so guests can go for a further swim if they choose to do so. As for the breakfast timing, we’re sorry you felt it was too limited. I will be sure to pass these comments onto our Operations Team in Croatia. Thank you again for your review Gina!
We had a great trip in June 2025. We sailed from Split to Dubrovnik on the boat Tempera (an older vessel, built in 2014). Our cabin was on the lower deck. We did have a few issues with our cabin. When we checked in, one of the beds was not made up. This was not a major issue, as we made it up ourselves. Additionally, the toilet in our cabin was running, so we alerted the crew, who advised us to flush the toilet in a specific manner. This helped, but it did not solve the problem, as the toilet still ran intermittently. The TV in our room did not work. Upon speaking to other guests, this was a common issue. The main issue was that the cabin smelled like sewage one evening. We spoke to the crew, who mentioned that a tank needed to be emptied. They emptied the tank, but again, if they could have emptied the tank in advance to prevent this from occurring, it would have improved our experience. The crew was friendly, fun, and helpful. The itinerary was great, and we loved the swim stops.
- Elizabeth, 24/06/2025 22:36, Travelled with Family
Went on the Split-Split cruise to celebrate a friends birthday. I really had no expectations but was totally blown away by how beautiful the Croatian coastline is. The crew on our boat was wonderful & our tour manager was great. The food & drink service was great but it would have been nice to have a larger window for morning coffee.
- Rebecca, 17/06/2025 02:23, Travelled with Friend/s
We enjoyed each destination, the swim stops and the variety of experiences. Our chief stew was amazing for coordinating activities, both free and paid, but we didn't do many excursions as they are pricey for the value, We still found plenty of fun things to do in each port! The accomodations and food fell short of our expectations though - there were three people on the boat with dietary restrictions or vegetarian, and we were only given extra services of the veggies/starch with no protein substitute. I often left hungry as we were unable to eat a lot for what was provided. The serving staff were also not accommodating, often dismissive or talking over our attempts to sort out alternatives for food. We also ran out of toilet paper a few times, and the showers didn't drain. Overall the itinerary made the trip worth while, but would hope to see a better effort to accommodate guests who don't eat meat.

Hi there, Thank you for your 4 star review! We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the itinerary, swim stops, and variety of experiences throughout your trip. It’s also fantastic to know that your representative helped make your time onboard more enjoyable. We’re sorry to hear that the food and onboard accommodations didn’t meet your expectations. We understand how important it is to feel well-catered for and your comments have been passed onto our team. I can see your dietary requirement was noted and passed onto the chef. We also appreciate the feedback about onboard supplies and facilities. We’ll be looking into these matters with the crew to prevent similar issues on future departures. Thank you again for joining Sail Croatia!
Amazing scenery, nice boat and wonderful staff.

We enjoyed our Split to Dubrovnik cruise; a great itinerary with lovely ports of call. The crew on board were exceptional - Max and Milan especially were so friendly and attentive - they really made us feel welcome. The cruise director, Dino, worked hard to help us with port stops and excursions. Overall, a great trip but there are definitely a few things that could be done to improve the experience: for instance, tea and coffee should be available throughout the day - we had to pay 3.50 euros for each cup of tea, and the trip excursions were very expensive eg we paid 60 euros each for the Vis tour which had 8 of us crammed into a closed landrover and those in the back unable to see anything out of the window or hear anything the driver said. The food on board ship was very carbohydrate heavy - very few veggies eg menu on day 2 was: starter = pasta, main course = rice and bit of meat, dessert = semolina type pudding. I was craving some fruit and veg! Overall a good experience though.

Great experience meeting a number of people from around the world. Crew did a fantastic job ensuring we were kept safe and answered all of our needs. Well done. Klara our cruise director did an outstanding job keeping us informed and did everything she could to ensure we were taken care of regardless of the time. Highly recommended
- James, 12/05/2025 17:08, Travelled with Family
We were a group of friends (8) who joined Sail Croatia for the Dubrovnik to Split 7 day cruise. The cabins were comfortable, the bathroom more spacious than the normal cruise ship. With only 40 people onboard I was concerned that we would be in each others pockets. There is more than enough space onboard to ensure you can read a book quietly if you want. The staff on our cruise (Salve de Mere) were supurb, from the maid throufg to the Captain, we were all in excellent hands. I loved the fact that we docked in small ports each night so we could enjoy local restaurants and bars. Each morning we stopped for a swim...as it was late season a few of us decamped to the jaquizzi where we had pre lunch cocktails...great fun! Each afternoon we were given options of excursions we could take, from walking and exploring, to bike rides and wine tasting. I would probably give the Buggies a miss as you travel in convoy at about 20kms per hour...very boring and a waste of money..
- Simon, 23/10/2024 11:31, Travelled with Friend/s
The trip was great for my restricted mobility. The railings on all walkways and stairwells made walking around the ship possible. The crew were always available to offer a helping hand or arm. One of the sailors - Mario - was exceptionally thoughtful. He carried my mobility scooter on and off the boat, storing and charging it overnight. He was sensitive to my fears, crossing from boat to boat, offering encouragement and praise, as well as physical help. Wonderful intuitive personal skills!

Ioana and the crew
- Georgette, 14/10/2024 19:24, Travelled with Family
The "Tempera" cruise was interesting bc it stopped every day at a different island unlike other large cruise ships. The boat was small which allowed both the crew and the 36 passengers aboard to get to know each other. The food + its preparation were excellent. Above all, our guide, Ioana was so pleasant and knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. She got to know each one of her guests and always made sure we were happy with her options for us at each stop. Her briefings were engaging. Secondly, our meal server - M_____, was extremely kind and hard-working. Constructive criticism: In order to allow more sightseeing time, serve breakfast and DINNER instead of lunch. We felt a bit shortchanged by the current dining schedule. Overall, it was a lovely way to spend a vacation! Thank you to all for making us feel comfortable and safe!!
- Liz, 09/10/2024 21:13, Travelled with Friend/s
The staff were great on this trip, especially Ioana our guide! Food. On the ship was very good and plentiful. The captain adjusted our itinerary for the weather. We had options to join group activities and dinners. Only wish we had more time off the boat. This cruise would be difficult for someone with mobility issues-especially in lower cabins and needing to cross between boats at ports. We had daily swim stops in am.
- Lynne, 07/10/2024 14:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Small boat, great staff
- Helen , 07/10/2024 07:01, Travelled with Friend/s
Klara’s energy and enthusiasm was contagious. Every morning she had a spring in her step which set the tone for the entire cruise. She was very approachable and answered all questions and queries with a happy smile. The boat was clean and in good condition. Would have liked a little more time in port and less ‘swim’ time as the towns had a lot to experience. Would recommend Sail Croatia to my friends.
- Amanda, 30/09/2024 08:37, Travelled with Friend/s
Dora was great, however, the recommended dinner - the one not included- was just *fair* and they over charged us and we were left to deal with paying. I feel like payment is something the cruise director should handle. It was chaotic and a bad way to end our evening. Also, I would have done more yoga, but it was usually just a little bit too early- I was on holiday, so I didn’t want to set an alarm. The only other suggestion: have more drinks for non-drinkers. Don’t run out of Coke Zero. I’m sure non-drinkers are not your normal clientele, but it would have been nice to be offered something else to drink when wine tastings were offered. The last dinner (the one that was included did a fantastic job of that. We felt seen, rather than ignored. Thanks so much. Overall I would recommend this yoga cruise.
- Nellie, 19/09/2024 13:02, Travelled with Friend/s
We really enjoyed our trip on Almissa. Our cruise director did a good job informing us of the daily schedule and working with excursion providers to give us the best experience. We enjoyed the yoga sessions. There was a good variety of excursions for all activity levels. We enjoyed exploring the towns. A lot of history, shopping, food options and gelato! The ship was the perfect size. We had a fun group of passengers. The crew did a great job of keeping things clean and organized and the food was good too. We don’t have any complaints!
- Danae, 16/09/2024 00:42, Travelled with Friend/s
Friendly crew and clean boat. Itinerary had more swim stops than expected which was frustrating at 2 places. We should have asked and paid for tender rides to explore the towns longer. Felt like a waste of time. Not enough time in Hvar or Kumiža - definitely could have spent a full day exploring those towns. Bath towels are very thin and there is NO space in your cabin for large suitcases. Our carry-ons just fit under the bed - no idea where larger bags would go. Plenty of fresh water for showers but you need bottled water for cleaning your teeth. No frills but great way to see the Dalmatian Coast and explore the islands.
- KimR , 09/09/2024 02:53, Travelled with Friend/s
I thoroughly enjoyed my experience with sail Croatia. I enjoyed being on the boat and exploring all the amazing destinations. The swim stops each day were a massive highlight being able to jump straight in to the beautiful ocean waters. The team were very welcoming and accommodating, especially Branko! If we needed something he was on top of helping out in whatever way he could. I feel that the sheets should be changed half way through the trip and that the bathrooms need more of a deeper clean. The breakfast buffet was great and the food served each day for lunch included a variety of cultural dishes and more and although I don’t eat sea food, there were many that I enjoyed thoroughly. There were many excursions offered which I did, however for the price some were average. Overall I enjoyed myself and the trip was a trip of a lifetime meeting so many amazing people!
- Katelin, 27/08/2024 15:15, Travelled with Friend/s
Have just returned from a week on the Almissa. The boat was lovely and our above deck cabin was perfect for a week, comfortable bed, enough storage for clothes and a lovely en suite. The crew were very friendly and nothing was too much. The islands we visited had stunning scenery and we loved the daily swim stops. Breakfast was plentiful, as was the three course lunch. Can highly recommend this way to holiday.
- Nicky, 08/07/2024 16:29, Travelled with Friend/s
Overall, the trip was great. It's a wonderful way to see Croatia in short period of time. The staff is so fun and friendly. And to be able to relax and swim everyday really added to the experience. While the experiences included are fun, it does not feel authentic but more focused on those on the similar cruise itinerary. It was tough only having a late afternoons and evenings in ports, I would have loved a mixed of mornings/early afternoons at port, and then afternoon swims.

Dear Lisa, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 4-star review! We are delighted to hear that you found the cruise relaxing and our staff friendly. Your feedback on the swim stops is greatly appreciated, and we will certainly take it into consideration to enhance our guests' experience. Our ships do have specific itineraries and timings to follow, due to port authorities. We look forward to welcoming you aboard again in the future! Kind regards,
The whole trip was awesome! Well organised and staff were fantastic
- Natalie , 25/06/2024 07:37, Travelled with Friend/s
Pero and Branco were great - helpful, friendly, hard-working. We would love to sail with them again! We booked a twin (for our daughters) and a double room (for myself and my husband), but we were given 2 twin rooms, which was not ideal. We booked our trip well in advance and confirmed at the time of booking that we were reserving a twin and a double. The meals were great - however, I would love to see an option of a lighter lunch - maybe some good salads and a protein option, versus the heavy lunch meals. Anna’s lack of experience showed and it would have been nice to have someone who knew the history a bit better. Additionally, she would only give her daily update at the end of lunch, after dessert. If you skipped dessert, you missed the recap. It would be better for her to give the update at the beginning of lunch, as everyone was sitting down and waiting for the food. This way, people could discuss the excursions during lunch. Also, her directions & information were not great.

Hi Abby, Thank you for your 4 star review. We are pleased to hear you found the Onboard Reps and crew helpful and friendly - your comments will be passed on to them. It's great to see your cruise rating received an overall score of 4.5 out of 5 stars. On some of our ships, the double beds can be two single beds pushed together to make a double bed and this was the case with your double bed cabin. Thank you for your kind comments on the meals served. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed this overall and we appreciate your suggestions for lighter options, thank you. That's a wonderful suggestion regarding the daily updates at the start of lunch. We appreciate your comments regarding your Onboard Rep, although we are a little surprised as this is one of our experienced Reps and our records show that she received ratings of 4.9 out of 5 for your departure. Thank you again for your comments and suggestions and we hope to have you join us again in the future.
Sailed southern Croatia with Sail Croatia for 7 days Dubrovnik to Split. We had a wonderful crew (Klara, Bobbin, Antonio) and group who made the trip amazing. Their cooks made three course meals, we were all fed. Went to some beautiful islands, saw incredible sites and made new friends. I would have loved to have spent more time on some of stops. Glad I did this trip.

We were a large group of friends/acquaintances travelling together and had a marvellous time. We even met new friends as well. All the guests got along and there were lots of laughs and fun had. Personal thou we had a room with the outer wall from a staircase on one wall and I was always banging my head on it, kind of peculiar! The crew was good but did not do a lot of extras.
- Wendy, 18/09/2023 08:37, Travelled with Friend/s
Our Tour Manager Ivana was so knowledgeable and friendly, she showed us great places to visit and joined the group for dancing and singing on the boat too.... Ivana took us on some great tours. Our waiter Eril on the Princes Diana cruise was very attentive, friendly and smiled even if was up early and to bed late...he couldn't do enough for you. The size of our room was surprisingly larger than I expected and could take the large suitcases under our bed...We had a room on main deck area which all the other boats had to pass to get from one ship to another when docked, but we never heard anyone pass our door late at night so that was a bonus... a wee tip, I felt our room was a bit damp with the air conditioning and door closed, however my brother kept his door open when we were sailing as money locked in safe and trusted our crew and travellers on board and the breeze would flow through which was refreshing.

Staff, food and company was very good. Our tour guide/instructor Ivana was excellent, knowledgeable, informative and very helpful. She did a great job.
- Domenic, 24/07/2023 17:28, Travelled with Friend/s
The staff and tour guide (Ivana) were fantastic and made the trip really great, also mixing it up with the young people was fantastic also. Cheers, Andrew

It was a wonderful 7 day trip from Split to Dobrovnik with stops at several islands. Weather fantastic, scenery breathtaking, people so friendly. The cabins were clean and spacious and the food on board excellent. A wonderful way to see Croatia for the first time.
- Ian , 27/06/2023 06:54, Travelled with Friend/s
Sail Croatia offers the best experience to see coastal Croatia w/ their Explorer cruise. As a 2nd time guest, we loved it enough to come back with friends and families and do it all again! Our host Vicko was FANTASTIC, his communication, commitment to creating an inclusive and fun experience that brought all the guests together stood out. The crew remembered everyone's dietary needs with accuracy. The other guests were amazing & everyone got on great! The food was beautiful + tasty. Needs improvement: the lingering sewage smell in the lower deck area that wasnt a problem the last time we travelled on the Almissa. Bedding needs changing mid week along with the towels seemed a bit worn. The crew were nice overall. Loved the swim spots in unique coves for that shallow water swim experience that was great for pics The daily excursions were fun, but wished we had more time in Korcula. Would be great to have sold snacks at the bar. Add the ability to take card payments on board. Thank you!
- Alyssa, 24/06/2023 02:56, Travelled with Friend/s
Crew fab, food fab, majority or stops fab ! BUT drinks FAR FAR FAR too expensive ! Bottle of wine on boat 100 euros, off boat 30/40 euros!! Bottle of grey goose 180 euros , Really ??????? Why not sell more for less ?????
- Sally Rowley , 19/06/2023 09:23, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for taking the time to review our services, Sally. Those drink prices do sound pricey! We have passed your feedback to our operations team including the Captain so these can be looked into. It is great to hear that everything was fabulous and we can't wait to welcome you onboard again!
A great bunch of people to travel with A great tour guide (Mila) was exceptional The crew were good especially Maryan Good food thanks to the chef One complaint is the fact that there was a spare room and a very shy young lady asked if she could have her own room instead of boarding with a complete stranger. I was discussed to hear that your company charged her an extra $600 euro in cash on top of what she had already paid that was cruel Steve Whitmore
- Stephen , 14/06/2023 11:41, Travelled with Family
Thank you so much for your 4 star review and all your comments. We are so glad you had a great time and that you found your representative Mila to be exceptional. Thank you for your kind comments regarding Marijan and the chef onboard. We will be sure to pass your comments to our team as they will appreciate very much hearing this. Our cabins are based on two person sharing a cabin and if there is a traveller travelling solo, then they are offered the option of booking a cabin with added Single Supplement cost which is 50% on top of per person pricing. This is offered at the time of booking and is advertised on our website under FAQ's. It isn't possible to waive this fee whilst on the cruise as it would be unfair to solo travellers onboard who booked and paid for a single occupancy cabin. Thank you for your feedback and we do hope we will welcome you again onboard sometime soon!
A small group of 30 people made our experience intimate and extremely enjoyable. We had an amazing experience with the other travellers and loved the knowledge and company of our tour guide Mila. Our bartender Maryan was also a stand out, so friendly and great service. The only recommendations I would have to further enhance the trip would be more regular changing of towels and sheets and more engagement from the other ship members (captain and sailors).
- Emma, 14/06/2023 11:34, Travelled with Family
Everything was lovely, crew and guide fantastic! Can’t wait to do it again!!
- Christie, 12/06/2023 12:38, Travelled with Friend/s
The boat, the food and the crew are excellent. The route could be shorter. We spend many days doing nothing in the mornings, we could do more than one island per day.
- Kharina, 15/05/2023 11:02, Travelled with Family
Hi Kharina, thank you for your review and feedback. I will be sure to pass your suggestions onto the relevant teams. Thank you!
Fantastic cruise with great people who made the experience even better. Dino worked hard to make sure the cruise itinerary was best for the weather which ensured we had the best opportunities to see and do as much as possible.
- Grant, 07/05/2023 21:25, Travelled with Family
Thank you for your review of your cruise with us on board Salve di Mare Grant!
Very nice boat with good cabins. For the most part, the organization was good however in the last 2 days they sent us back to our final port because they were worried about the weather however they got the weather completely wrong (which id fine), but they made u stay at port for 2 extra days and instead of going out for a swim stop or out of the port they just left us for 2 days in the same port. We were all not happy about that, pity as the rest of it was incredible!
- Anonymous, 04/10/2022 06:33, Travelled with Family
Great cruise, fantastic host in Stjepan, a bit disappointed that we had to spend 2 days in Dubrovnik. A little irritated that you would not accept Credit cards on board. In Croatia ALL ATMs are a rip off and as you accpet payment for the cruise on a credit card, why not onboard? No doubt you dont want the charges to your account but the inconvenience and extra cost we had to bear spoiled a little what was otherwise a great trip
- DAVID, 03/10/2022 08:08, Travelled with Family
The best part of the trip was the company of others who attended the same week, but everything else about the trip that was handled by Sail Croatia was pitiful. Horrible food, poor planning, disgusting cabins, and more than evident cost-cutting. The wifi was nonexistent and no soap, shampoo, or conditioner was provided. The bath towels provided were dirty and disgusting. I signed for a triple occupancy cabin and it ended up being a mattress on the floor. That is unacceptable. The other participants bonded on the boat over Sail Croatia's failings as a cruise liner. If I knew the lack of amenities provided and the poor organizing, I would not attend.
- Kalee, 01/10/2022 18:52, Travelled with Family
Thank you for your review Kalee. We are sorry to hear you were unhappy with your cabin arrangements and boat in general. I have gone through all the feedback ratings and we were given 4 stars for the 'boat overall'. Our chefs prepare all meals in their small gulleys located onboard the boat, aiming to provide a variety of meals however we understand that this is not always to everyone's taste. Soap, shampoo and conditioning is not included and we advise guests to bring their own onboard to avoid disappointment. Triple cabin consists of a small double bed and single bunk, as advised prior to booking this room type. As they are the same size as a twin share (2 people per cabin) we provide a 10% discount. I understand that you were moved to another cabin free of charge. We hope this was more than suitable. After reviewing the organisation of the cruise by the Onboard Representative, they were rated all 5 stars which includes; destination, organisation and friendliness. We thank you for your review.
It would be nice if the swim stops were shorter (year round) or if a dingy/taxi were available for guests to leave the ship earlier during swim stops, especially in the cooler months since the water temp is too chilly to swim for more than about an hour. SUPs, kayaks or bikes stored on board for guest use would be an amazing addition. Offerings of Yoga, Dance, exercise classes, etc. on the sun deck, daily, would be nice. Some games (cards, etc.) would be nice to have on hand for people who don't swim. The Tour manager should have a comprehensive spreadsheet/list of services at each island (laundry, bike rentals, pharmacies, clinics, etc.) instead of having to Google search for these places/services. This could be shared with guests as the board the boat. Thanks!
- Stephanie, 26/09/2022 15:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Blown away by the beauty of Croatia and the Adriatic coast. Beautiful islands, some much busier than others, but all with beautiful buildings, interesting history, friendly people and delicious food. It was lovely to be able to swim from the boat, but more time on the islands would have been most welcome, as our times there felt limited. The staff on the boat were helpful and friendly and the public spaces on the boat beautiful. Some cabins were rather small. I enjoyed the food. A daily menu would have been helpful, if known in advance, so we could plan our dining better. The coffee machine was not great. Expectations for good coffee are now the norm! There are many other similar boats doing a similar trip, so don't think you are on a unique experience!! They will be moored up beside you every evening, so don't worry about the view from your cabin!! Thank you Sail Croatia for an enjoyable holiday!
- Anne, 20/09/2022 13:18, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi Anne, thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us this summer on board Salve di Mare. We truly are so pleased to read that the beauty of Croatia and the Adriatic Coast exceeded your expectations - we have to agree, Croatia is certainly a stunning country and it's been great having you explore with us. I will be sure to pass your recommendations and comments onto the relevant teams, especially regarding more time ashore to explore. Thank you for joining us for a fantastic week on board - we would be happy to have you join us again!
The staff were wonderful and Stephanie took great care of keeping us informed and organized for port calls. The food was great with the minor exception of too much olive oil use for me on some dishes. The tuna steak was perfect! I would suggest shorter swim times to allow earlier port stops. Some excursions were not enough time to do them well. Some activities for poor weather days would be nice also.
- Dean, 19/09/2022 10:41, Travelled with Family
Sailing on the Salve di Mare with 30 other guests was a smashing experience. As the review only allows 1000 words here are the main points . -Positives Relaxing daily routine Excellent sea swimming Good breakfast choices / food quality very good Friendly and accommodating crew Sociable and friendly guests to chat to Beautiful boat very clean Wine tasting and military tours very good -Areas least enjoyed Cabin very small not enough hooks /storage Bathroom flooded everyday , smell from drains No lunch menu or choice - 4 courses, food wasted Rubbish coffee from a machine Expensive bar Poor communication re itinerary changes missed trips due to bad weather and limited activities No access to shore when moored Needed more games and gatherings on board / get to know guests etc

Explorer cruise on the Almissa in June. We had beautiful weather every day & enjoyed the daily swim stops. The other guests were GREAT & made the week enjoyable for us. Ivan, our guide, was informative & shared his love for his country & its history. The boat was quiet & smooth sailing. The Captain was skilled bringing the boat in to dock. The crew was mostly good with Mario, Ivan & the junior deck hand being hard working & friendly. The food was average. Starters were excellent but the mains were hit or miss. Fish was prepared well but other proteins were dry & bland. Lasagna was the best meal. Fruit was old by end of week. Be aware: there is only 1 choice for lunch so if you don't want to eat octopus or squid ink pasta, be specific on your eating preferences as extra portions/options aren't available unless specified ahead of time. Food is only available at meal times & no snacks available to buy. Asst chef wasn't friendly & made some feel uncomfortable. Good Trip overall.
- JT, 20/07/2022 18:09, Travelled with Family
Every place we visited is truly beautiful. Ivana, Daniel, Mario and the rest of the crew were always there to make sure the trip was as pleasant as possible. This was my 3rd trip in the past 6 years on this same boat, so you can imagine how much I like it and strongly recommend it. The friendships you make and the experiences you live can last you a life time if you choose to. Cheers!!
- Cesar , 18/07/2022 10:40, Travelled with Friend/s
The booking team at Sail Croatia was responsive and accommodating in answering my questions and getting together last minute booking requests for me. The most difficult part was finding where the boat was docked but once I made it & met Stephanie, it was smooth sailing. The boat itself is a decent size and nice especially if you book a private room. The air con was off/on. The one turnover service was appreciated. Some meals were adaptable to vegetarians— but not all were accommodating for those lactose intolerant or gluten free. Activities I enjoyed most: National Park in Mljet, wandering the streets of Korcula, taking in views over Vela Luka, shopping in Stari Grad & dancing all night in Hvar! This was a nice way to see a lot in a short amount of time in a safe, fun way while meeting nice people from all over the world. Weather disrupted some plans but overall it was a lovely vacation. The itinerary offered a blend of freedom to explore & structured activities.

Breakfast - always a limited time of an hour and if you wanted a sleepin you then missed breakfast, if you weren't going on an excursion you still had to get up extra early to get breakfast. Had to ask for butter and jam every day as there was none laid on table. Breakfast and lunch were very poor on the first few day until many people complained - Breakfast was greatly improved but not so much the lunch. Lunch could be simplified with mixed salads and cold meats, Lighter meals not so much three course. The food took a long time to be served in between courses. Swim stops were not fantastic as we have had before. It just felt like the crew were in automatic mode without great thought to what they were doing. This was a trip I have enjoyed immensely in the past and have raved about to many people who have also then taken the trip. We paid a lot more this year but seem to have gotten less. So disappointed.
- Nicky, 11/07/2022 08:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thank you for your review. We hope you were able to enjoy Croatia whilst you were there and immerse yourself in the beautiful country and culture. We are sorry to hear of your disappointment with some aspects of your cruise. Breakfasts are offered to all guests and the opening times are advised by the Onboard Representative. The chef will always provide more breakfast options upon request. The chef aims to provide fresh meals using local produce, they operate out of a small kitchen and we understand that not all meals are to everyone's taste. We appreciate your comments here and these will be passed on. Lookng at the meal feedback for your week onboard, the average rating was 4 stars. We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy the swim stops like you had in the past, our captain aims to provide a good balance between land vs sea, mooring up into secluded bays for all guests to enjoy. We do hope that the issues experience didn't detract from your overall enjoyment, as this is certainly not a reflection of the high standards we expect week after week. We hope that you join us again in the future and we thank you again for your review.
Mia and the crew on the Almissa did a spectacular job! Mia was informative, fun, and very easy to contact and assist. Croatia was beautiful as always, and we would recommend this trip to all of our friends

Many thanks for your review of your Explorer cruise!
The boat Cristal was a new Sail Croatia boat and was very comfortable with lots of space to unwind. A sun lounger for every guest and a hot tub which was cold but we needed that !! Our group of travellers were great fun and we thoroughly enjoyed our week.
- Sarah, 04/09/2019 07:37, Travelled with Family
Amazing that you had such a wonderful week on board Cristal - we are so pleased to hear this. Thanks for joining us!
Ana was wonderful and created a fantastic experience. The other staff members could have been a little friendlier but they were also great. We would have loved at least one full length mirror on the boat. The food was fantastic but breakfast was too early. Perhaps if breakfast was served from 9-10 that would have been more convenient. The rooms were wonderful and the rest of the boat was also great. The captain also created a lovely atmosphere and everyone loved him!
- Megan, 07/08/2019 10:23, Travelled with Family
Hi there. Thank you for your review of your Explorer cruise with us this season. I will be sure to pass your kind words onto Ana, she will enjoy the read! I will also be passing your comments and suggestions onto our Operations Manager so that improvements can be made in the future, we do appreciate your feedback here. Thanks so much for joining us, we're so pleased to hear you had a great time.
The staff made this trip exceed all expectations. Ana went beyond to cater for any requests and tour changes due to weather. Guest satisfaction was their priority. Special thanks to captain Jure and staff, they were so genuine and humorous. The Almissa itself was really comfortable. The only thing I suggest is adding some shade on the sun deck.
- Sharon, 06/08/2019 07:38, Travelled with Friend/s
Thanks so much for joining us this season on board Almissa. It's amazing to hear the trip exceeded your expectations and that you were pleased with the crew on board - I will be sure to pass your thanks onto them. Thank you!
Overall the trip was nice. The ports were good and the time spent in each town was very good. Also, the swim spots were fantastic. Service was definitely lacking. Not an overly friendly staff (maybe that's a cultural thing but if you're in the hospitality business you need to train folks to be ...hospitable!). Also the "rationing" of information daily seemed really weird. Just give the information put in a print out in the cabins and leave it at that. The lunch presentations were bizarre. Mia, our cruise director was lovely. Very nice and very helpful. Not sure why they schedule a full on sit down lunch everyday. Why not just a simple buffet? Salad bar, sandwich bar, a hot item and let people come between 12 - 2 p.m. at their leisure would have been perfect. Having to change clothes and go up to do sit down lunch every day was not for our group but maybe some folks would enjoy it. The boat was really nice. The rooms were excellent and the public space on the boat was A+.

Hi there, thank you for your review of your Explorer cruise with us this season on board Cristal. Amazing to hear you had a nice trip overall and that you enjoyed the ports and the swim stops. I will be sure to advise our Operations Manager your comments on the crew on board, thank you for letting us know. I will also pass your comments and thanks onto Mia, she will be pleased to hear this. Thanks for joining us this season!
This trip was great because: excellent swim tops, excursions, chef & Croatia. I would do it again. NOT GREAT: Terrible scheduling: schedule was set but not conveyed. Ex: We had a swim stop & the tender boat brought me to shore. I knew I had to be back on at 1 pm but the guy who dropped me never said what time to meet the tender. At 12:30 my family and I head back to where the boat dropped us figuring 1/2 hour is plenty of time. We met Ivana the cruise director on the way and she flipped out “ WHERE have you been!? You knew to meet the tender at noon! You are sooo late.!!” We said we didn’t know - no one told us, there’s no written schedule given to passengers & the hand-written schedule Ivana put up didn’t say it either. She nagged the whole way back! “ How did the others know and not you?!!” Dunno - you told them and not us? Instead of saying “Apologies. We will do better to say the schedule. Glad I found you and all’s is well.” Instead she kept nagging. It was awful. No apology.

Hi there. I want to thank you for your feedback, we do really appreciate this as this enables us to improve for the future. It's wonderful to hear you had a great trip and that you would do it all again! We would love to have you again 😊 With regards to your comments on the scheduling and your Representative Ivana, I'm sorry to hear this. I have made our Operations Manager aware of this so that we can improve on this for the future. Thank you for brining these points to our attention. We do appreciate you as a valued customer of ours and are glad the issues raised did not deter you from having a great time on board. Thank you!
Had a great week sailing with Sail Croatia. Most guests were Australian and we’re lovely people. It would have been great to meet more people from other countries though. The food was ok but didn’t cater very well for vegetarians. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would recommend Sail Croatia to anyone! Would be great if there were a couple of treadmills and stationary bikes onboard as I saw on some other boats.
- Eva, 22/07/2019 10:03, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We are really pleased you had a great week onboard our cruise with some lovely fellow travellers. Thank you for your comments on the food, our chefs are always happy to provide alternative options for those with dietary requirements, and if upon request, can provide additional servings. Thank you for recommending us and look out - we may offer some treadmills and bikes on our cruises in the future :-).
Cristal is one of the newer and largest offered by Sail Croatia. The cabins and baths are very spacious and there are many well designed areas to relax and be with or away from the other guests. The ship is kept very clean by the crew and housekeeping staff. The captain is very welcoming. Our trip had a wonderful group of fellow travelers of all ages from around the world. The food quality could be substantially improved. Many of the port stops are too short and much time is spent at very long swim stops waiting for free public docks to become available at the end of the day. The boat must leave these public docks very early with engines starting at 7 or 8am. The cruse director was enthusiastic, excursion quality highly variable and local port information limited.so do your own homework.

Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave us an honest review of your cruise on board Cristal with us this season. I'm so pleased to hear you liked the ship and were happy also with service provided by the crew on board by keeping it clean and tidy. Your fellow travellers really can make the trip sometimes, so it's great that you all got on well! We appreciate your feedback and these comments will be passed onto the relevant teams so that we can make improvements for the future. Thank you so much for joining us!
The tour/cruise director was fabulous. The stops and excursions offered were wonderful!

Thank you for your review :)
We travelled on the Christal explorer cruise with Steph. We were a group of four single young girls (I’m 28) and steph straight away made us feel incredibly comfortable and made sure she included us in younger events happening on the islands. We decided to do this trip rather that the navigator as we wanted the nicer accommodation on board, and the cristal provided that. Our only complaints really would be for the price we paid ($4000 nzd) we would have expected a little more from the food, staff on board captains night and wine and cheese night. This was I think and issue from the boat rather than sail Croatia. We honestly have nothing but amazing things to say about Steph, she was truly a fantastic representation of Sail Croatia!
- Bianca, 08/07/2019 03:38, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thanks for your raving review! We are sure Steph will enjoy reading your lovely comments, thank you. It's great to hear you enjoyed your accommodation onboard Cristal, and we will feed your suggestions for improvements to our Operations Team. We hope to have you join us in Croatia for another adventure!
We very much enjoyed the sampling of islands on this trip. The crew was great, the water crystal clear and relatively warm - swimming off the boat was awesome.

Hi there, thank you for your review. It's great to hear you enjoyed your time on board with us in Croatia visiting all of the different locations - we agree, our cruises are a great way to see Croatia. Awesome that you enjoyed the swim stops too! :) Thank you.
bags brought to room on arrival to begin trip better linen service , no bed sheet change for the entire trip and only 1 replacement towel service paper cups for morning breakfast instead of regular china cups.' Food was ok Captains dinner disappointed he never spoke to the group to welcome them aboard. Boris the rep was good as well as Ivan ( bar and food server guy) would not recommend Sail Croatia to friends.
- dorothy, 26/06/2019 12:50, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your review. We hope that you did enjoy some aspects of the cruise, and Croatia as a whole. We are really pleased to hear that Boris and Ivan provided you with great service. Baggage service is not an inclusion on our cruises however, is a great suggestion which we appreciate and will pass on to the relevant team. Linen service occurs mid-week and upon request, additional towels can be given providing there are extra supplies. There is just one point in your review that I just need to clarify for other travellers considering booking with us. We have a process in place outlined in our Pre-departure information, our Welcome Speech and via our Sail Croatia App, which provides guests with information on how to raise any concerns whilst on the cruise. Having a look through our reports, I cannot see anything being reported to our Rep, crew or Operations Manager. Given the opportunity, we will always try to rectify the situation immediately so you remain happy on our cruise. Thanks again.
Great cruise with anna she was wonderful. Make sure if you start boat trip in Dubrovnik you ask Taki driver to drop you off under bridge at port grizzly? Food great. We asked for house red wine after two days we were given the Dearer red wine double the price so make sure you know which wine you are getting? They must have run out of house red. Great swim stops great islands great captain
- Roxanne, 17/06/2019 06:29, Travelled with Friend/s
Hi there and thanks for the review! That's right - if you are coming in to Dubrovnik, the main point would be either under the bridge near Port Gruz or the main bus station in Dubrovnik, which is about a 5-10 minute from the port. It would be our pleasure to source house red wine for you and replenish stock if a certain beverage has run out, and we will be sure to look into the delays in getting this onboard for you. Glad you enjoyed the swim stops and the company of your captain.
The cruise ship Almissa was well planned and organised. I really enjoyed the whole setup and our lovely tour guide Ivana, who introduced us to the perfect way of experiencing island hopping. The food wa great!!! Took me a while to get used to the Black risotto tough... maybe next time will be beter. Thanking the Sail Croatia admin team as well in helping managing our booking, and this was a great and effortless experience.

Hi and thank you for your 5-star rating! We are really happy to hear you enjoyed your experience onboard Almissa and got to embrace the essence of Croatia as a whole, trying new foods and enjoying the different islands visited. We will be sure to pass your comments on to the captain, crew and the Reservations Team. Thank you.

The crew of the kraljica Jelena made the difference between a simple standard cruise and a great cruise. Dont get me wrong, the boat itself was superb but you still have to have the right team to get the service and the buzz happening. All the crew were there to service OUR needs on OUR boat and nothing was too simple or too complex. Danjiels effort especially in bringing some of the aquatic life up close shouldnt go without mentioning! A great captain from and with a great boat family and a competent crew of simply nice people , To steal a marketing phrase or two, do yourself a faour and just do it, sail the Kraljica Jelena, i would again. We were on the Cristal, a brand new boat with wonderful facilities and friendly staff. The swim stops, overnight docking were in fantastic locations, with sufficient recommendations from the tour manager, Boris.

people you meet stops you go to meals on the boat boat itself

Great cruise companions and great staff on the boat made this trip so easy to enjoy. Australians are people I would travel with anytime anywhere. The cruise stops were all very interesting and our host Antonio was very capable of filling us in on all the history and local information to make our trip so fulfilling.

Our boat, Almissa, was beautiful. I let the staff know about my dietary preferences ahead of time and they went out of their way to accommodate me. Meal were basic, but good. The trip was a nice mix of swim stops and time to explore the islands independently. The rafting and kayaking excursions were so-so. The Vis tour, wine tasting and meal at an authentic family restaurant in Korcula were well worth the time / money.

A group of 8 individuals travelling together always presents it own set of difficulties, the options on entertainment on the various islands as explained by the representative allowed all to be entertained in their own way. Arrangements made for restaurants, bookings and recommendations of local entertainment and sights was outstanding. The crew entertained and was part of a unique travel experience that ensured lasting and fond memories. The food prepared by Tony, the chef, was above expectation. I can highly recommend the the cruise to any future travellers, beautiful people, scenery and the country as a whole will ensure a travel experience not soon to be forgotten

We really enjoyed our cruise. A truly great way to see and appreciate the beauty of the Croatian islands. Crew an fellow passengers were great fun. Our boat had good sized cabins and the food was good. Split and Dubrovnik were very busy with tourists and difficult for us to really appreciate what those places had to offer as result, However the cruise itself and the islands we visited were beautiful and we really enjoyed the experience. Would do it again in a heartbeat!

Good organized, good food and met lots of cool People.
- Susanna, 11/09/2017 04:23, Travelled with Family
The other cruisers, the staff, the magic of the Croatian islands and the standard of accommodation made the cruise great. We had a mixed group age wise, which made the cruise more interesting and fun for me. The Dalmatian coast is delightful. Water as blue and clear as I have ever seen. Each place visited was different and special in it's own way. I was so relaxed I didn't know what day it was half of the time. My only suggestion for improvement would be to try for swim stops in calmer waters as sometimes the currents were very strong.

The crew, the weather & the other guests were all marvelous. However, the star of the show was our rep Stan was an absolute revelation. From the outset he was the perfect host introducing us to the boats staff & explaining everything we needed to know. He was on call for any issues which he resolved effortlessly & nothing ever appearing to be a problem. His knowledge of Croatia & all the destinations on our cruise was impeccable & his energy & enthusiasm appeared to be boundless. He most definitely added to the whole holiday experience.

I was on the explorer premium plus. The crew were fantastic, we were fortunate enough to be with an amazing group of people which helps. It had the right amount of activities versus down time and everywhere we visited exceeded my exoectations. I am a vegan and the chef and dining staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs, the food was perfect. I would do so it all over again.

It was the perfect balance of party and chill out. It wasn't a full on booze fest like it is on some of the other boats full of 18 year olds. Stan, our Tour manager was awesome. He cares a lot about making sure every has a great experience and nothing is ever too much trouble. The average age on the premier plus was 30 (with one older couple in their 60s, and one family) The next boat up looked more luxurious but was all oldies so I definitely recommend this boat for people in their early 30s. The opportunity to party all the time is still there if you want to. Great week.

Members of the crew were fabulous. In particular Ante the bar man and Marina who cleaned our rooms. Ante went to so much effort everyday to make people feel happy. He got dressed up for every meal and was fabulous!!! marina made our rooms so clean and always had a smile. Our host was a little disappointing and gave little history of where we were and could have been more engaging with the clients. The sail is a wonderful experience however a large gripe is that you cannot sell the tour as a young professionals tour if you have older people who negatively impact the experience of others on the cruise. They broke the speakers on the top level so music could not be played and they were not young at heart at all. Thank goodness I was with my friends because I would possibly be asking for a refund if I had been alone and expecting likeminded people to be on the cruise and got what we had.

Thank you for your review! We are really pleased to hear you found the crew , especially Ante and Marina to be wonderful - we will pass your lovely comments on to them. I see you were booked on our Explorer Dubrovnik to Split cruise and this cruise is aimed at young professionals and young at heart travellers, we allow travellers from 15+ years on this cruise up to 60's, 70's. I'm sorry to hear you feel as though the older travellers impacted negatively on the experience. Even though we have no influence on how guests behave once they join the cruise, we hope that by clearly advertising the target market on this cruise type, all guests show respect and courtesy to others. We are sorry if this was not the case. We hope that this issue did not detract from your overall experience on the cruise and we thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us.
We sailed Dubrovnik-Split with a lovely group & fantastic rep, Stanko. Stan was very informative and looked after our needs very well. The opportunity to see the islands & swim in lovely clear water from the boat was superb. We combined this with. Game of Thoines tour in both Dubrovnik and Split which made the area even more interesting.

Thank you for your review - we are so happy to hear you enjoyed your time on our cruise and in Croatia as a whole. Thank you for your feedback on your rep Stan - we will be sure to pass this on. We hope you enjoyed the Game of Thrones tour. Thanks again.
Our cruise got off to a bumpy start. They didn't register our boat in time in Dubrovnik, so they had us stay a night in a hotel there, then take a bus ride the next day to Split to embark on our trip. This made us miss out on 1 1/2 days on the cruise. They only notified us of the problem a few days ahead of our cruise, they made some amends, but I feel they could have done more for the guests. This is the only reason I have not left 5 stars. Once on board, we had an excellent time! Because they were unable to register the sailcroatia boat, they had us on the Barbara, (barbara-cruising.com), which had a fantastic crew that was fun and friendly. Our tour guide Stan who works for Sail Croatia was the absolute best! If you can suggest him for your cruise, do so. He was a walking encyclopedia on any topic - Croatian history, current events, and celebrity gossip. He made the trip for my family because of his fun spirit and positive attitude. We adored Stan and loved the beauty of Croatia

Thank you for your review. The original scheduled ship had technical difficulties at registration and therefore, we had to find an alternative option within a very short time-frame. The alternative option was a change of route and we had provided you with 5* accommodation for the first night plus a refund for the first day and additional compensation for the inconvenience caused. We then organised a transfer the following day from Dubrovnik to Split which takes approximately 4.5 hours. Again, we are sorry for the inconvenience here. We are really pleased to hear you had a great time onboard Barbara and enjoyed the company of your rep Stan. We agree, he is a walking encyclopedia, full of knowledge and love for his country and culture. We really are pleased you enjoyed the cruise overall and hope to have you join us again in the future.
Stanko was such a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He and the crew on the boat made my birthday very special while on the trip. I would definitely recommend Sail Croatia! Thank you for making me fall in love with Croatia. I will be back again!

It's so good to hear you had an amazing time on your Explorer cruise and found our amazing tour guide Stanko to be knowledgeable and very friendly. We are so happy to hear that the crew made your birthday very special. We hope to have you join us again sometime in the future.
The Almissa crew members are great and fun to be with. Nice bedroom and cleaned, would love to sail on Almissa again.

Absolutely loved our time on the boat and saw so much of beautiful Croatia. The boat facilities were amazing and our children loved it. Only change I would have made would be to have more child friendly meals given it was a family cruise.

Great Food ,Great scenery , great swim stops with beautiful clear water .

Our ship tour guide Stan was amazing - he was informative, interesting and brought all the passengers together with his positive energy. I enjoyed swimming off the boat and visiting the little and big villages along the way. However, the breakfasts were DISSAPOINTING hence the four not five stars. No change of bed linen in seven days and people smoking on board was also a surprise!
- Beris, 08/06/2017 17:23, Travelled with Friend/s
Really enjoyed the cruise as the islands we visited were beautiful, the fellow travellers were very friendly and we all interacted well and Stan the co ordinator was amazing always going that extra mile to ensure we had a good time and so informative. The crew were very friendly and the meals were very good, too good as we all ate too much! The passengers with cabins on the lower level were woken up every morning around 6 am when the boat started up but we were on the top level so we\'re not affected as much. Only negative was the price of the wines, only 2 choices of red and very expensive compared to the prices in the bars or shops on the island. Even a couple of wet days did not dampen the experience. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to visit Croatia.

The communication to passengers of last minute changes to the itinerary. Changes were for the worst and not for the better. Some examples of our experience were; docking boat at the same port on consecutive nights & not being able to dock in Hvar. Hvar being a highlight. Not having the opportunity to visit the Blue Caves (aparently due to bad weather & poor choice in schedule change as we had 2 days in the area). It just so happens the same occurred to friends of ours on a previous Sail Croatia cruise. We had a tour leader who was un-enthusiastic most of the time and provided misguided advice at ports, The activities were over priced and not value for money.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback. I am sorry to hear that you felt the communication to passengers regarding itinerary changes wasn't clear. On some occasions the Captain may change the itinerary due to weather and does this for the safety of passengers. Whilst at the time of docking the weather may seem perfect, this can in fact change drastically within a few hours and the captain will be aware of this hours in advance. In ports such as Hvar where it is quite open and susceptible to rocky seas if a storm strikes the captain may decide to dock at Stari Grad where the port is fully protected. As the boats will be docked for around 12 hours, for the safety of our guests he will decide to dock at the safest port possible that offers the most protection from stormy weather. Customer service is very important to us here at Sail Croatia, and we want to ensure passengers have a positive experience whilst on their cruise, your comments about your Sail Croatia Representative have been passed on to our Operations Manager for further training in this area. We pride ourselves on supporting local businesses and work with local suppliers to provide excursions for our guests that cater to all budgets, we also have the excursion prices listed on our website to help with budgeting prior to the cruise. Thank you again for your review.
The cruise was great as it sailed to a variety of destinations each day which had unique things to do and see. Generally a wonderful experience. The swim stops were in picturesque bays and were really good fun. The staff were lovely and our Rep Ana was so helpful and pleasant. The other people on the boat were great fun too. The food was generally good, however, it could be improved by changing some minor things - pure orange juice for breakfast (not diluted or cheap juice), plain croissants and making scrambled egg without lots of Olive Oil.. A selection of fruits would also be very welcome and a communal iron and ironing board would be a great asset too.
- Carolyne, 15/08/2016 09:53, Travelled with Friend/s
The cruise was a perfect introduction to Croatia! I only wish we had a little more time in Dubrovnik and got to see Vis, but given the massive amount this cruise packed into only 7 days, it was great! The food on board exceeded my expectations. I would recommend this cruise to friends in their mid-late twenties and young couples. Thank you for a safe and enjoyable adventure!

1. Friendlier staff - asking for drinks / coffee was not received well by the bar staff 2. Accommodating our needs - we asked for certain alcohol to be brought onto the boat to be sold to us which was completely ignored and declined by the staff which I cannot understand why at all when we would be paying for it? 3. Selling food - we weren't allowed to bring food onto the boat but if you missed breakfast you could then not buy anything and had to wait until lunch?! Not my idea of a holiday 4. No flexibililty - there was no flexibility in terms of if we wanted to spend longer at a swim stop or port. Overall its really hard to ruin a holiday in Croatia but I would not recommend using Sail Croatia to my friends for their future travels sadly.
- Nicholas, 27/07/2016 17:49, Travelled with Friend/s
Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you didn't find the staff friendly, your comments have been passed onto our Operations Team to discuss with the Captain of the ship. The bar is operated by the Captain and it is at his discretion what is sold, I'm sorry they were unable to accommodate you with your drink preferences. With regards to food on-board, Breakfast and a 3-Course Lunch is served every day. I'm afraid food from outside the boat, isn't allowed to be bought on by guests, however I have passed your comments on about having the option to purchase snacks on-board so this can be looked into. With regards to your comments about flexibility, the Captains are on a fixed itinerary, so whilst they try and ensure guests have enough time to swim as well as having enough time in the ports, swim stops may have to be missed or cut short so the ship can reach each destination on time and have space to dock in the ports. Thank you again for your feedback.
The cruise course from Dubrovnik to Split is well planned and lovely. The staff were great and the guide is well experienced and knew a lot. Food was great and the boat was a good size for 40 people.
- Lisa, 25/07/2016 08:09, Travelled with Friend/s
Ivo our representative and the crew made our trip amazing. The food, cleanliness, organization of activities was fabulous. We will be back to do this again! Croatia is beautiful..
- Teresa , 18/07/2016 06:17, Travelled with Family
My Husband and I really enjoyed this cruise. The crew was wonderful and accommodated any request we had.- specifically my dietary needs for lunch as we both do not eat sea food and I don't eat beef, pork, lamb, etc. Our rooms were clean and spacious for the size of the boat. The swim times/spots were also great! . The only issue I had was the age of the other guests. We are closing in at 60 and the other guests were more in their 30's. My Husband didn't mind; however, I did. Lastly, I think a little Croatian music would have given the atmosphere a more authentic feel..
- John, 04/07/2016 17:15, Travelled with Family
The other people we met on the ship made it fun. The staff were magnificent. The islands we visited were stunning. The food was fantastic, especially lunches.
- Nancy, 08/06/2016 12:35, Travelled with Friend/s
This cruise was fantastic - beautiful and spacious boat with super helpful and friendly staff! The places we went to were amazing and the tour gives you plenty of info on the history, fun things to do in the town and places to eat (as well as handling all the booking for you). The only things to improve is the time spent in each place - the boat departs around 8am every morning so you really only have from around 2pm the previous day to explore. In addition I thought more of the activity prices would be included, so it did become a little pricey, but overall definitely worth it! I had an amazing time and got to become close with lots of fun, like minded people. The boat is perfect for sunbaking and chatting the other people. The swim stops were great and you can jump from the boat which was a blast! I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to see a Snapshot of Croatia (although might suggest staying an extra couple of days to have more time to visit favourite islands!)
