FABULOUS I have just returned from 7 nights In Dubrovnik Sail Croatia and it was a fabulous trip. Got to see some amazing places and the hikes were great a good mix of places a moderate level of fitness required. I found the experience was very memorable. Its not a foodie trip so be prepared for basic meals but they can cater for dietary requirements very well. If you are considering this trip to explore Croatia, just book it. This was a marvellous week helped hugely by the quality of the guides, Ilona and Ema, who were so professional, fun and informative. The crew on the boat were excellent too. Very friendly and helpful. The walks are graded moderate and are not that long but are hilly and the paths rocky. The heat made them feel harder than expected. It’s interesting to visit different islands and see how they have their own character, to travel without having to pack and unpack.

This was a truly memorable hiking adventure and one I would highly recommend. Each day offered a great mix of rewarding hikes and time to relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings. The Dionis was a beautiful, comfortable, and well-maintained home for the week. Ilona and Ema were exceptional guides, knowledgeable, supportive, and great fun to spend time with as they kept us smiling all week. The food was consistently delicious and abundant, and the captain and crew kept everything running smoothly with warmth and professionalism. To top it all off, I shared the experience with a wonderful group of fellow travelers and left with several new friendships. Traveling solo can sometimes feel a little daunting, but this trip couldn't have been easier. As a solo female traveler I felt included and comfortable from the start. We had such a blast on our Sail Croatia holiday. Our adventures included boating around the stunning islands of Croatia, hiking to scenic vistas, walking historic walls, swimming and paddling in the bright blue sea, meeting new friends, enjoying local foods and experiencing the intense pride Croatia’s have for their culture and history. Coming home each day to our modest, cozy, air conditioned room was a treat. The food on board was very good. The capital and crew worked extremely hard to make our stay great. And our hiking guides became friends by the end. We bonded with our fellow boat mates who came from all across the world. It was the perfect blend of active adventure, beauty, history and relaxation, I would go again in a heartbeat.

Overall it was wonderful. The full group of passengers were amazing and Croatia is stunning. Our hikes were beautiful. Our cabin was quite small and very damp. Our clothes and towels never felt dry. We were thankful that it was cool and quieter during the night when parked next to party boats, though it was a bit noisy when the engines started in the morning. We thought the food was quite good. In sum, great experience and would choose a bit nicer ship next time.

The ship Emanuel is a well renovated 1955 small passenger ship with maximizing passenger carrying at expense of cabin space. The ship is rated standard when the brochure said Premier grade for the hiking cruise. Food was unimaginative but acceptable and drinks overpriced. Tea and coffee should be freely available during the day. The cabin was clean with a hard and lumpy bed, noise from outside was a problem at times as we were on the corridor connecting other ships alongside and music was often loud but finished at 11pm. Crew and guides were friendly and helpful but more info on the history and other information about the places visited would be good. The cruise itself visited some wonderful places and i wouldn't have missed it but things could have been done better.

We loved seeing the Dalmation Islands, the beautiful walks and we enjoyed the public areas of the boat, Emanuel. However in the small cabin the bed was hard and lumpy. The addition of decent mattress toppers would be an easy fix and a big improvement. While I appreciate limited galley space, the food could be easily improved with forethought. For example for vegetarians a homemade lentil and spinach soup would be a simple and massive improvement on powdered mushroom soup. The salads were very basic; lettuce in a bowl and likewise could be upgraded with a few extras and with the addition of, for example, cooked potatoes chick peas with decent bread would have been a nicer main course than fried vege fritters from a packet. One day we had lunch of potato crocquettes with potato and vege fritters and chips, all from a packet, all fried! Breakfasts were good with nice vege choice. Bar a bit pricey. Tea and coffee all day should be included for the price of the holiday.

I wouldn’t ever sail on the standard of boat used on this trip because the cabins were pretty much all of a low standard in one way or another. Additionally noise at night was a significant issue, due to tie ups in harbour. Sleep quality on the boat was poor and the cabin air conditioning caused throat problems. The tipping expectations for staff on this boat of about 20% of the cost of the trip were ridiculous. No one tipped that much, Other people on the boat great fun. Ilona was a very good hike leader. Food on board ok to good, but why no menu for the week or choices? Would go to Croatia again but on a land based tour. The hikes were worth doing. None of our friends would tolerate the standard of boat so wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

We really enjoyed our sail and hike trip on the Dalmation coastal islands. The trip was very well organised with great communication and leadership from beginning to end. The ship crew were friendly and helpful. Our tour leaders Natasha and Sasa were fantastic. Friendly, kind, and patient; genuinely good people. The structure of the trip was great, with flexibility to handle preferences from the group. We ended up hiking early and swimming late because it was already warm. The level of hikes were challenging without being exhausting. Definitely suitable for moderately experienced hikers and a reasonable fitness level. Happily everyone listened to the leaders well and there were no issues at all during the stay. Just a great fun time and the best way to see the islands. We would definitely do it again if our bucket list was shorter.

My cruise of the Dalmatian coast on the Salve di Mare was absolutely wonderful! I loved the hikes, swims in the Adriatic, exploring a new village or town at each stop, and just hanging out with the other passengers, who quickly became friends. The crew was warm and friendly and the service was excellent. Our tour guide Nikos and hike guide Ilona made every day a fun adventure. I would highly recommend this tour!

We enjoyed 7 days of beauty, history, hiking, and wonderful service! The staff of Salve di Mare were top notch. Markos, Vlaho, Julia, Nikos, Illona, the chef and sous chef were all extraordinary. They were friendly, attentive, and well-organized. The deck hands kept them "ship shape," constantly cleaning or anticipating our next move. The daily breakfast buffet and 3-course lunch were top notch; thank goodness we were hiking so much. I recommend Sail Croatia's "Luxury Hiking Cruise" wholeheartedly. It more than met my expectations!

Mario and Matilda were amazing. They were personable and patient and they were attuned to our needs as hikers. The food was delicious and the Chef was delightful. We are vegetarians/pescatarian eaters and he was so very accommodating and creative. The hikes were lovely and challenged us but provided the most unbelievable vistas of Croatia. The ship, Mali Ante, was clean and stable due to the Captain's skill at maneuvering the ship. Special mention to Ivan in the dining hall. He was always pleasing and cheerful and his service was impeccable. Croatia is a beautiful country made more so by the staff of Sail Croatia. Thanks!

Well organized, efficient, flexible, very helpful and friendly crew.. We had a great cook.. We did most of the hikes in the afternoon. I personally prefer to hike in the morning but when walking in the shade afternoons were ok. It was May so I did not try the AC. My only disappointment was the HOT TUB was not hot and almost as cold as the ocean in May. There was a TV but it did not work.. WIFI was excellent.

An unforgettable trip! The sail & hike itinerary from Dubrovnik to Split was expertly led by Mate and Saša, whose love and pride for Croatia shone through every story and hike. They were informative, entertaining, and perfectly balanced. The islands were stunning with crystal-clear waters, charming villages, and breathtaking views from clifftop vantage points. It was a really good holiday. Mario and Matilda were excellent guides the crew the Cook and the Captain were really helpful and really good people. People the only fault I could find was most boats I’ve been on have free tea, coffee available and afternoon snacks the places us we visited and the hiking that we went on we made all the easier by the crew and the tour guides we both really enjoyed it. The tip situation where we were supposed to have a blank envelope so it was at Unknown what cabin the tips came from did not happen the envelope had everyone’s room number on and name. I really feel like this needs clarifying from yourselves as you have already said the staff are well paid and tipping is optional and the amounts that were suggested from yourselves for per person I believe for far too high and I believe no amount should be suggested i.e. top end or bottom end for tips as this is down to the individual of what they can afford without feeling pressurised this tainted the holida

My husband and I chose sail Croatia for our honeymoon and it was the perfect week. We did the northern split hiking route on the mali ante with Mario and Matilda and it was perfect! Everything about our week with Sail Croatia more than met our expectations. The crew could not have been more knowledgeable, accommodating and above all else, friendly & caring. The national park walks in Plitvice and Krka were a highlight, We also walked in towns, along coastal environments and up hills with dramatic and spectacular views. The staff were amazing. Mario, the Sail Croatia rep on the boat, was friendly, very knowledgeable and spoke several languages fluently. Matte the walk guide was clearly experienced but also patient and able to adjust to the needs of the group. The crew of the Mali Ante were delightful and went out of their way to make sure we had a great holiday. The cabins were small but had plenty of storage and the shower was great. The food was homely, crowd pleasing and generous. We got to know everyone on the trip and enjoyed the multinational vibe..

The boat was just the right size. No issues with crowds getting on and off, we came and went as we pleased. The staff was amazing from the captain to Mario our bartender/meal server, the cooks the crew ans of course our two guides Lola and Natasha were awesome. They provided detailed info as to what were going to do, had a good pace on the hikes and adjusted the schedule on the fly. These two are great problem solvers as to moving hikes and islands when needed. While we all knew in general where and what we were going to do it was so nice not ever having to worry as to the planning We travel alot and both said one of our top vacations

The crew of the Mali Ante were first rate. From the captain to the assistant cook, everyone was friendly , helpful, attentive to our needs and very informative. I had the absolute pleasure of joining the Sail Croatia Hiking Cruise, and it was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience that exceeded every expectation. Our guides, Lola and Natasha, were fantastic. Sail Croatia is a perfect blend of sailing and hiking, there is also time on each island to explore the local area. Each day is a new adventure on a different island. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful . During our hikes we learn a little history of the island we were on. The food was amazing! I would highly recommend this tour group, they did a great job.

Our guides were Lola and Natasa made the trip. They were absolutely delightful. Super positive, funny and knowledgable. Hikes were a good level for all. The crew on the boat were great. Good food and fab table service from Mario. The captain and the whole team handled a change of itinerary due to poor weather really well. The only thing I would suggest is just about the jacuzzi. I have no problem with there not being a jacuzzi on board but on our cruise it was there but not filled up, so it wasn’t useable and took up space that could be used for more sun loungers and there are only about half as many loungers as there are guests.

Captain, tour guides and front line staff were great. Room was not great with a bed that you could feel the metal springs, lumpy pillows, lights that didn’t work, safe that wasn’t opened, Generator noise was intrusive into the room during the night. In port the boats were often racked together so that you had to pass through multiple boats to get onto shore. This also trapped diesel exhaust fumes on still nights, making staying outside at the back of the boat uncomfortable.

The crew of the Mali Luka and our amazing hike guides Natasha and Ilona were a great team. We were surprised to find out this was the first week those two young women had worked together as they did a wonderful job. All the hikes and the options were well thought out. The planned wine tasting and group dinner were really good ideas as was the captains dinner. All the meals were well prepared and bountiful. One of the best parts.was the camaraderie that developed among our fellow travelers which truly made the week extra special and it was hard to say our goodbyes when the week ended. This was our first trip with Sail Croatia but it definitely will not be our last.

Loved sailing to the different islands, hiking, and best of all the swim stops. The water was warm and crystal clear. Meals were nice, Our hikes were led by Mate and Ante. They were fun, professional and shared so much information about Croatia and the villages on the islands. We made some good friends and loved the whole trip.

This was our very first cruise so we really didn't know what to expect, and lucky for us it couldn't have gone better! The friendly group of fellow passengers, the wonderful crew including the delighful cook and his tasty menu, and Ante & Mante our tremendous guides, all made our weeklong tour of the beautiful Croatian coast top notch. Ante was a wealth of information regarding history of the country, and Mante was an excellent hiking guide who kept a very close eye on everyone's condition to make sure we were all challenged but having fun too. Yes, the lower level cabin was cozy, but we didn't spend much time there other than sleeping so it really didn't matter.. Thumbs up to the closet space and surprisingly awesome shower water pressure! It was my first time on a cruise and also my first time in Croatia. I was a bit nervous at first, but it turned out to be a lovely experience. I was surprised, however, that the age demographic was much older, and there wasn’t really anyone my age. I also expected the hiking to be more challenging, but it was quite slow and leisurely—which did suit some of the group. That said, the crew and tour guides were incredibly welcoming, and I really enjoyed meeting everyone on board. They did their best to make sure we had a great week in Croatia, and I’m thankful I took the risk and tried something new. Overall, it was a fun and memorable adventure!

This was a phenomenal adventure for my husband and I! We were on the hiking cruise aboard the Mali Ante. The daily hikes were challenging and stunning! Our hiking guide, Mate, shared his passion for Croatia along with his knowledge of the history and traditions of the islands. We had refreshing swim stops, great meals created by a fun chef, and we were surrounded by a happy / helpful crew. Being active while sightseeing beyond the touristy areas was rewarding and relaxing. It was better than I had hoped it would be! I absolutely encourage you to visit Croatia with 'Sail Croatia'!

We sailed in June on the Dubrovnik return itinerary with family and friends, The week was very enjoyable. The crew on the Colombo were terrific. Great food, great service and we really enjoyed our time on the boat. Our Sail-Croatia guides Mate and Ilona were excellent. They were very engaging, shared terrific stories and really made the trip enjoyable. The hikes were sometimes challenging (rocky, steep terrain), but there was great teamwork and we always ended with beautiful views. We just finished the Split/Return Hiking Tour. We were thrilled with the vacation. The Tour Leaders were personable and knowledgeable; the Cooks prepared Amazing food (and paid very close attention to my food allergies); and the Crew of the boat took very good care of us. The water was mostly very calm which was wonderful for swimming off the boat and on the beaches. This was my first time on a boat cruise, so I wasn't prepared for the smell of the bathrooms, but apparently this is normal. The weather was too hot for me to participate in most of the hikes, unfortunately, but I enjoyed swimming and sight-seeing in the towns while others were hiking. We went with a group of friends, AND enjoyed new friendships with the others on the boat. A very happy 7 days!

Our recent 7-day hiking cruise with tour leaders Mate and Ilona was fantastic. They were absolutely the best--so knowledgeable and friendly, and they knew how to set a crowd-pleasing pace for activities. Ilona offered to make dinner reservations at almost every port of call--so helpful. The ship was comfortable and well-maintained, and the crew were responsive and professional. The food was plentiful and tasty. We were with a large group of friends, and I think everyone in our group had a great time. My husband and I were able to complete all the hikes. Not everyone was able to. I think some guests would have benefited from having more info about the hikes when considering whether to book the trip--not just length of hike and elevation gain, but a bit about the technical aspects: e.g., gravel/scree, occasional boulder-scrambling, etc. Mate provided these descriptions the day of the hike, but having the info earlier might have been helpful. Overall, though, 5-stars all the way!

After travelling solo for several weeks this was a great way for me to explore the islands without having to organise anything myself. I had a great group of 20 fellow travellers, enjoyed lovely bays to swim off the boat and interesting hikes (at times challenging due to the heat) . The food served on board was excellent, and all of the crew were friendly, helpful and very professional. I really enjoyed my time on board the 'Mali Luka' and can understand why several people on my cruise had previously sailed with Sail Croatia.

Everyone on the Afrodita works so hard, the ship was very well maintained and the food was great. The hike guides very good and well informed. The trails were not maintained by any standards basically goat paths. I slipped and fell on first hike injured my leg, cuts and bruised on the loose sharp rock. The guides Martin and ILona were great. Martin applied bandages to my leg to stop the bleeding then helped me finish the last kilometer back to the boat. I had to skip the hike the next day and only did 5 of the 7 hikes opting to do the easiest. Looking back I wish I knew the trail conditions, the length and elevations were all that I remember and the hikes were moderate. Next time we will do the elegant cruse. I wish I could give 5 stars.

We had a great time on and off the boat. We traveled as a couple with a set of friends. The hikes were good and guided very well by Illona and Martin. The only thing I would recommend to change is the fixed lunch as we could have enjoyed a few longer hikes without having to rush back for lunch on the boat. It was especially the case with the hike from Makarska after an hours bus drive to the national park. That day we also had the captains dinner on the boat so we could have had lunch on the mountain in the national park. All in all we had a wonderful holiday!

We loved our adventure aboard the Salve di Mare and the time spent with new friends. The other passengers were easy to connect with and lots of fun. The crew worked seamlessly to keep the ship sparkling, anticipated our needs, and made everything look effortless and natural. Together they created a fun and relaxed environment. Tour manager Ioana was enthusiastic and upbeat. She ensured we understood the logistics for upcoming activities and provided alternatives for those who needed to skip a hike. Hike leader Mate shared his knowledge about Croatian culture and Island history. As an experienced local hiking guide with a background in Search and Rescue, we knew we were in good hands as he led us to beautiful vistas and interesting historic locations. Sail Croatia was informed of my food allergies in advance. The chef provided creative alternatives and the waitstaff made sure I received the right items. The entire cruise was top notch due to the exceptional staff!

I can't say enough about what a great trip this was! We were lucky to have just 8 people on the ship since it was early in the season. We all bonded immediately and had lots of fun and laughs (and are all still in touch). The highlight of our trip was our amazing hike guide, Andro, who led us on spectacular hikes and offered interesting information about the history and natural wonders of Croatia and each area where we hiked. I also have to give a shout out to Andrej, our delightful bartender/waiter, as well as the chef, captain, and two sailors. The hikes were challenging at times but definitely doable, and the reward was the incredible scenery of Croatia at every turn. I also really enjoyed out village lunch on Korcula. All in all, a really wonderful time in a truly beautiful country.

A beautiful ship, which was constantly being looked after by the enthusiastic crew, and a group of travellers from the far corners of the world who met and mixed throughout the week and who all became friends. He really was an important part of the trip. And not to forget the breakfasts and lunches which were really good and gave us the calories to complete the walks and at a pace that suited all levels. What a great itinerary, with a fabulous bunch of people! Everyone was so friendly. Our hikes were a good variety, ranging from flat to vertical (possibly a slight exaggeration, but there were some steep bits!) We hiked along clifftops, over rocks, through woodland, in National Parks with waterfalls galore (and some very noisy frogs!), and through small towns. All different, all gorgeous. Our guides Ivica and Lucija were brilliant, watching out for everyone, giving us lots of snippets of information, and sharing their obvious love for their beautiful country. They gave us some pretty good restaurant recommendations too!

Everything was near perfection. The Sail Croatia Reps, Mila and Lola were fantastic, knowledgeable, knew how to keep things moving with grace and good does of humor. The Cabin Crew and Deck Crew were super friendly and acted with concern as a was recovering from a bout of food poisoning (not Sail Croatia's or the Emanuel's Fault). Fellow passengers were super friendly and everyone got along well. Suggestions: 1: Cabins are a bit Spartan and could use a design refreshment 2: Make hiking poles available (I could not bring mine due to carry-on luggage rules) 3: Serve lunch after the hikes

The small cruise experience was wonderful. We went into small ports that large cruise ships could not go and were able to explore many more fabulous destinations. The food on the ship was plentiful and top notch. The hiking tour was a good mixture of easy walks and challenging hikes. Our guides were well informed and a pleasure to spend time with. My only constructive feedback would be to better describe the terrain and required fitness level for some of the hikes because I feel they were too challenging for a few of our companions and it required that the more able hikers were spending their time assisting rather than enjoying the hike. Our sail/hike Split Southern Islands week was a perfect mix of activity on our hikes and time to relax either onboard beautiful Emanuel or onshore at one of the picturesque towns in which we spent the night. Food provided onboard for breakfast and lunch was plentiful and tasty (thanks to our on-board Chef). Our cabin was roomy and well presented. The whole crew and our two guides looked after us really well and Croatia and the Adriatic Sea were just stunning. We could not have asked for a better week. Salve di mare is a beautiful ship with an amazing and professional crew. They looked after us with attention and care. The food on board was delicious, a big thank you for the chef and his team! Our hiking guide Matte was very knowledgeable and provided full description not only about the hikes but also about the villages visited. Ioana, leading the guests was very approachable and friendly.. Despite the extra charge for the upper cabin booked, we found out that it was on top of the engine making it very noisy and other cabins at a cheaper rate, were way more spacious than ours. Tea and coffee was free of charge only until 1pm, which we did not understand the reason, as it was an average coffee maker, not a barista style at all for the extra charge. We definitely recommend our hiking tour and we will be happy to come back and choose Sail Croatia again!

Sail croatia put together an amazing journey along the Dalmatian coast. We were aboard the Mali Ante with a experienced and skilled crew. The chef prepared excellent Croatian cuisine for breakfast and lunch that rivaled many of the excellent restaurants we tried for dinner. We were on a new hiking cruise, designed by our guides, that included national parks and islands north of Split, including Plitvice and Krka. The guides, Ivica and Lucija, carefully selected trails to suit the abilities of the group and were very attentive to the needs of each guest. I would love to come back and do a hiking tour of the southern islands in the future. We primarily stayed in small villiages on the islands and Lucija was very kind to tell us all about the towns and their history and every night she provided excellent recommendations for dinners. Swim stops were great and refreshing! Best part of our month long vacation so far!

We chose the Luxury Hiking Tour on the Salve di mare from Split to Dubrovnik. From our arrival on the Yacht to our departure everything was beyond perfect! Anita and Mate went above and beyond to ensure we had a true Croatian experience from the great hikes filled with historic information to the recommendations for additional activities and wonderful restaurants on each of the islands we visited. The Yacht crew was friendly and attentive to requests, providing wonderful meals, making sure our room and the Yacht were clean and our captain went above expectations by adjusting our island visits to ensure we always had fantastic weather. Many aspects: Being early in season we had it all to ourselves. Our small group of 14 made it very fun and social. The boat was clean and well maintained and the crew knew their business. From the first greeting at the dock in Split to making sure we had transport to our next destination in Dubrovnik, Anita made us feel like family. Each day’s activities were communicated through regular briefings and schedule updates on WhatsApp. Our hiking guide, Mate, explained the details of each walk and made sure we all felt confident with the pace and difficulty each time he led us to the magical views he shared with us. The crew were fantastic. The Captain changed some days around to avoid bad weather and rough seas. The food was great and the ship was always clean and tidy. We had a great time and the Sail Croatia guides and the Salve Di Mare crew made sure we were comfortable, active and well informed. We learnt so much about Croatia. Had the best time ever. I was a little nervous travelling on my own and about motion sickness but had the best time ever and have made friends for life. Our guides Anita and Mate were incredible. They made the whole experience memorable. I did the Hike and Cruise trip and it had the right amount of activity and relaxation. Anita and Mate briefed us on the hike each morning and safely took us and brought us back. They made great recommendations for other activities to do once we got back as well as dinner recommendations. We sailed on the Salve De Mare. The Captain and his crew were great. The cabins were very comfortable, and the lunches were incredible. Captain's dinner was also very good. If i had to say something negative cause everything can't be perfect, it would be, need better coffee on the boat! I would recommend this trip to anyone. The age range of our group was 52 to 72 and the hike was manageable by all.

What we did not foresee was even more significant in making this a most memorable journey: the wonderful camaraderie that quickly developed amongst our fellow marauders, the warmth and capable leadership of our incredible guides (Mate and Karla), and the ,world class professionalism of Captain Antonio, Bruno and the rest of the crew,, We came in search of some adventure and left with new friends, an immense fondness for Croatia and its proud people. Our plan was to do the E-bike trip but it was full so we decided to jump on the hike trip! We definitely made a good decision!! Mate and Karla did such an amazing job accommodating everyone! The tour guide Karla and hike guide Mate were really amazing. We feel so lucky to have had them with us.. Really knowledgeable and friendly people who helped bring a group of strangers together to be friends by the end of the week. Thanks too to Bruno and the captain and crew on Columbo for taking such good care of us. The hikes were beautiful. Sometimes they were challenging but not so difficult that we were not able to enjoy the scenery and get to know each other on the way. Our favourite hike was in Makarska, where the views were stunning. Our weather was mixed with some unexpected heavy rain at times but the itinerary was adapted well to suit sailing conditions. The boat was full of like-minded travellers from all over the world and we had a really fun-filled week with the best people.

We were on the Colombo boat with Bruno and an excellent crew. They were polite, efficient, hard working, friendly and very good at their jobs. Our guides Mate and Karla were fantastic! We sailed on the Colombo last week. It was glorious. Though the weather was changeable, the atmosphere on board remained fun loving. Credit must go to the superb captain and crew for safe sailing and adaptability. Swim stops, meals and wonderful evenings will remain in the memory. Special mention must be made, though, of our two wonderful guides: Mate and Karla, not just because they were instructive experts in their hiking field, but also unifying us as a group. They were special and charmed us all. We were all sad to say goodbye at the end of the tour. We are now looking forward to our next Sail Croatia trip in 2025

This cruise/hike was the most amazing trip!!! Our guides- Mate and Karla made it even better as they planned our daily hikes, kept in contact with us, shared their local knowledge, protected us, and had fun with us!!! The trip was amazing from the fantastic crew, to great food and meeting a lovely group of like minded people., Anita the sail Cristian rep was fabulous with a wealth of knowledge on each area and always updated us on what was available at port stops by what’s app. Mika our hiking rep was competent with great knowledge of the terrain and our safety was paramount to her. Her daily updates were very informative. Her passion for the environment and her country was impressive.. I loved the daily sea swim stops . The hikes were challenging at times for me but with Mila and Anita encouragement I completed all of them. I would highly recommend this holiday.

travelling solo for the first time was daunting to me, however from start to finish sailing on the Emanuel with the skilled and friendly skipper, the chef, who treated us with delicious meals, to Ivan and the other hands on board this experience got better and better. Tour guides Mila and Anita were passionate about their beautiful home country of Croatia and their enthusiasm for our day to day activities made this the perfect trip to include daily Hikes, swims in stunning locations, local knowledge and ensured everyone on board this lovely, comfortable ship had the best time. The Sail Croatia Team and boat crew were superb from beginning to end. Hiking was challenging and rewarding with spectacular views. Meals are home cooked and delicious. The island ports are charming. We had a captain's dinner one night, a pizza night, lots of swimming, etc. It is a n active trip. But what made this cruise so special was making friends with the other travelers. As one person said, " It's the people. It's the people. It's the people! I have traveled a lot and this would rank as one of the best. Do it!

The sail and hike experience was a great combination! The hikes were reasonably challenging but worth the views at the top and each one was unique. The hiking guides were so enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The boat was in impeccable condition and the crew members went out of their way to make the sailing a memorable experience. I am a 17 year old non-speaking autistic who loves the sea and mountains. I had one of the best holidays ever, hiking on different islands everyday, whilst travelling & staying on a boat. The staff were exceptional, they were always fully inclusive and presumed competence in me. They gave me all the support I needed without patronising me, I felt empowered and leave this week with a wonderful sense of achievement and even more confidence in my abilities. Really enjoyed this trip. The boat was extremely well taken care of. The cabin was spacious, shower hot and with strong pressure (important!). IThe boat was spotlessly clean at almost times. The crew were friendly and attentive. The hiking guides did an excellent job of taking care of everyone and went over and above what was expected, with Mila organising extra tours on the islands for those who wanted it. We were 27 on board and there was lots of mingling of desired. I would highly recommend this trip.

WOW. The guides and crew of our hiking trip made our experience so fun and easy. The hikes were calibrated to the group's preferences, so they were just challenging enough to keep it fun and provided great views of the islands. Breakfasts and lunches on board were delicious. I am not a fan of big ship cruising so this was perfect!!! Small boat and small number of passengers with plenty of room to spread out and enjoy the sun, great crew, beautiful food, drinks and service, relaxed schedule with plenty of free time at each port. The other passengers were from all over the world, we got to know everyone and we all got along so well. The destinations were some of the most beautiful places I have ever visited....the islands OMG!! The water is the cleanest and clearest in Europe. Mate, our hiking guide lead us on 7 fabulous hikes, some quite challenging which I was hoping for. All had amazing views and destinations. I am definitely coming back to do the new hiking cruise route. Thank you to everyone and thank you beautiful Croatia xxoo

First impression on boarding our allocated ship Eos, a three masted motor sailer, was we had drawn the short straw. It wasn’t as modern or sleek as most of the cruisers around us in Split harbour and our below deck cabin was tiny and cramped. However what followed was a week of brilliant fun and adventure that made the shortcomings of the accommodation seem a minor point. A new picture postcard location every day, beautiful ports, swim stops in secluded bays and a great group of fellow travellers from around the globe who we got to know on our daily hikes and evenings in the local bars cafes and restaurants. Our guides Mate and Lola were knowledgeable, responsible but also fun. The crew were great and the food on board was varied and tasty. The hikes were challenging but rewarding too, though I personally would have preferred more climbs with a bar at the top! We made some great friends and have fabulous memories of our week around the Islands of Croatia. Thanks to all.

The organisation, the friendly crew, the varied and well paced hikes. Mate and Lola made a great team leading the hikes and providing information about each location and they had some great restaurant recommendations. Must also mention Lucy who did a great job serving the meals each day as well as making a delicious Aperol Spritz . Each day was varied but with plenty of time to relax or explore each town. Never having cruised before we were not too sure what to expect but loved it and would not hesitate to recommend the trip and sail croatia. We have already told many of our friends.

Beautiful coves where anchor was dropped to allow us to swim off the swimming deck in crystal clear sea. Towns and villages were fantastic, each had a unique charm and some had summer music concerts to entertain. Hikes were enjoyable if challenging in the humidity. Whilst short in distance they all involved walking up steep and rugged terrain, do pack hiking poles! Mate was our experienced and very knowledgeable guide, we had complete trust in him. Decks were kept clean and tidy, there was always space to sunbathe. Meals onboard were tasty and well presented, a captain’s dinner was provided free one evening. Not rated 5 stars as our ship EOS (21 cabins) was tired and a little “crusty” in places, we were expecting a higher standard and more spacious accommodation. A good mix of English speaking passengers onboard, all respectful to each other and we made new friends for life.

We booked the seven night sail and hike trip, and it exceeded expectations. A wonderful way to visit new and interesting places, and get to see more than the main areas of each town. You get to see more of islands, the hike were great and not easy so you do need some level of fitness. Food was brilliant as were the crew onboard and guides. The boat was a perfect size, always spotless, the food was delicious, the crew superb, charming and helpful and the organization excellent. Each walk was special, Mila and Mari were a perfect combination of guides and always made a plan with the weather enabling us to hike come what may. In the misty, pouring rain a three hour hike was fortunately reduced to a 1 hour hike. We were all very impressed with our captain, especially with his horizontal parking in a tiny harbour! I would definitely recommend doing this trip but be warned for all types of weather and bring appropriate clothing.

The crew looked after us so well. A bad storm meant reconfiguring the route. Very grateful to our captain’s wisdom in keeping us safe and our hike leaders for making sure we got in a hike every day despite the itinerary change. The staff were professional, pleasant, and caring. Food was excellent and varied. I required gluten free accommodation and it was taken care of. I will say that for me, the hikes were too rigorous; all involved a 1+ hour of unremitting climbing on rocky terrain. But I was in the minority. Most found the hikes perfect.

Our trip was great because we had excellent guides in Mila and Mare. Rainy weather meant the boat couldn't follow the itinerary but we were still able to hike everyday. The hikes were challenging; the views were spectacular and I noted that the guides were very alert to conditions on the trails so I never felt the hiking was unsafe. I also appreciated that the guides shared the best things to do and places to eat at every port.

Lovely boat, in great condition, beautiful islands and fantastic walks, but even better were the friendly and helpful crew and guides who couldn't do enough for us and genuinely cared about making guests have the best experience. We had a spacious above deck room which was larger than expected and the rest of the boat was just the right size - big enough to be comfortable without feeling we were on a massive ship. Good food and super service. We didn't get the chance to use the sundeck as much as we would have liked as the weather was patchy with some strong rain storms – however, I believe this is rare for Croatia. And the crew and guides adapted the itinerary so that we had hikes (and other activities) every day - they really did all they could to make us have a good time. The group bonded and when the sun came out we were all the happier for it. Thanks Sail Croatia - we'd love to return!

Loved the friendliness and openness of the crew and guides - showed us the best of Croatian people. There were a few "buts" - there were tv-s in cabins, but they didn't work, the lock of our cabin broke, took a while to get it sorted. The drinks on board cost twice that on shore - I only had 2 classes of wine during the trip and loads on shore - maybe the price policy needs to be worked on... I did also have a question about the wages of the crew and guides - maybe Sail Croatia should pay them more, add it to the overall cost and not do the whole "usually our guests leave tip that much". If people want to add extra tip, they could but this passive agressive - leaving the envelope and instructions how much people need to tip, is leaving a bit of unpleasant shadow to the trip.

We had a great time joining a hike cruise with Sail Croatia! We booked last minute, near the end of the season in October, and had a fantastic time! The crew and guides be were experienced, friendly, and knowledgeable. The other guests were a good mix of ages and nationalities. Everyone on the Hike cruise wanted to explore but also socialize, some good nights but no crazy partying. Matched exactly what we were looking for! The islands were exceptionally beautiful and all the stops were enjoyable. The hikes were good but sightly shorter than we would have liked, but that left lots of time to explore, and eat! The food was amazing, on the ship and on shore. It would be impossible to do this on your own at a similar price point, in a similar amount of time. We visited so many spots, with food, lodging, transport, and guides all rolled into one great week! Would highly recommend!

The crew of the Emanuel were fantastic and looked after us so well. Wow! we have just returned from a Sail-Hike week on Emanuel. It was an amazing experience that totally exceeded our expectations. Every aspect was top class, the crew were extremely helpful and friendly - the ship was so clean, the food was amazing. Our schedule was updated daily to take account of the changing weather, we were kept safe and managed to see all the highlights .Our guides Marin and Karolina made it such a memorable trip, the pace was perfect for everyone - we quickly became a big family. We had a wonderful week on Emanuel, the crew on aboard were fabulous could not do enough for us. The food was top-notch I would return if only to eat Zeljka's stuffed peppers one more time! The destinations we visited were amazing, each place was unique and the landscapes varied. The hikes were fun, some more challenging than others and nothing better than jumping in the sea after a sweaty hike. I m vegetarian and I had a constant monotonous and unhealthy diet of eggs and cheese at each meal of the day. No vegetables, all cheap and badly cooked. To be fair. The ship crew were fine. The guides adequate. The hikes were not interesting bar one trip to a national part. Just uphill to a viewpoint. Every viewpoint and trail looked the same. The other guests were a good and lively bunch. Many felt the same but there was group pressure to say how great everything was.

The boat plus crew and hiking leaders exceeded my expectations. This may be because the boat was only half full so more room and more service attention. Fantastic crew on the boat. Very attentive, excellent food and drink..Hiking guides Mate and Marin were very knowledgeable about the areas where we hiked and made sure all levels of walkers were looked after. Plenty of swim stops in beautiful bays and sea. This was our second trip will Sail Croatia and it didn't disappoint.

From the moment we arrived near our ship on the first morning to the moment we departed, our Sail Croatia guide Mate (pronounced Matty) was superb. So knowledgeable about the history behind the islands and was there to look after everyone, every step of the way both on the hikes and on the ship. Every island was so different. I was so excited to wake up every morning knowing I'd be seeing something new to explore. Cabins are clean and as comfortable as they can be for a small ship. Plenty of hot water. Crew were friendly. Definitely looking to book again next year, but for the cycle cruise so that I can see more of these beautiful islands. The Sale Croatia sales team are also fantastic. Quick to respond to any queries I had ahead of our holiday.

Loved every minute of my sailing and hiking trip. The hiking routes were challenging but not over the top. Incredible views on every well chosen hike. Our hiking guide Matè was excellent. Very knowledge and capable. Very good company too. He built a very good rapport with the group. The boat crew were very nice too and I was very happy with the accommodation. All the ports we stopped at were very nice too. We saw a lot of beautiful places around the islands. I would definitely recommend Sail Croatia to anyone.

-1st view of boat was filthy cabins and carpets -no welcome on-board - left to wonder around -1st 2nights no air conditioning -3rd night no hot water -couldn't lock cabin door -no key for internal locker -hostess very rude & didn't know how to work equipment to provide hot water or couldn't be bothered. -Staff underwear hanging outside out cabin door. -bedding not changed until after 5th night even though we were sweating like mad with no air con. -would have been good to have sea toys/paddleboard/laylo type etc. to enjoy. -couldn't buy single glass of wine, had to buy whole bottle. Also fridge was broken so couldn't be kept for next day. -on return from hikes, no staff available to serve drinks. Thankfully our tour guide Mate dealt with these issues as without him it could have been a whole lot worse. Mate deserves full credit for making this an enjoyable trip regardless of the issues we continually faced.

We booked the sail and hike cruise with friends on the Split to Split tour. The Mali Ante, the crew, Mate the hike guide, the food were all fantastic. With only 13 other guests it was like a private cruise and we all quickly became friends.. The breakfasts and lunches were very high quality and plentyful. The fresh fruit bowl and filtered water was available at all times. The hiking could be undertaken by most people with reasonable levels of fitness. Recommend taking a hiking pole, snorkeling gear and sunhat together with a small day rucksack. As a group we had some evening meals together.. in the local restaraunts be wary of items priced per 100gms ( they usually turn out as expensive,!!) . Cabin comfortable with a shower and toilet. A great experience and will be booking again. Suitable for couples, friends together or singles.

Mein Mann und ich hatten unvergessliche Tage mit einer exzellenten Crew auf dem Boot "Emanuel", tollen Menschen um uns herum in einer familiären Atmosphäre sowie mit beeindruckenden Wanderungen unter der Leitung eines phantastischen Guides! Wir hatten gemeinsam so viel Spaß, dass wir sehr traurig waren beim Abschied. Absolut empfehlenswert!

We went on a Sail & Hike cruise around the islands of Split on the Mlini boat. Although it was a basic and small boat it suited our needs and was very satisfactory. It was very casual and no need to dress up for our meals onboard. We loved that we were able to anchor down in secluded bays and swim for several hours a day. We then had the bustle of the small historic villages in the evenings to explore, after our late afternoon hikes. The hikes were easy for the most part and very enjoyable. Our guides were very efficient and provided little anecdotes of all the places we visited, The crew were fabulous and very professional. I would love to go back again and do it all over !

Our guides Mate and Kate were just the best The other staff were also excellent. Tbe meals were fabulous. The waks we did were interesting and challenging and very well led. Kate covered the history and points of inteerest with expertise. We were swimmers and that was caered for very well by the staff A wonderful holiday thankyou!

We sailed on Milena on hike and sail cruise. Kate and Mate, our cruise and hike representatives were awesome. They were so helpful, friendly and when weather affected plans, between the captain and them they always had an alternate plan. The rest of the crew were great and it was one of the best things I have done on a holiday.

The whole experience was fantastic. We had a couple of times when, due to weather, our itinerary had to be changed and the alternative offered was great. The boat was very comfortable, the food excellent and I would highly recommend Sail Croatia.

Food - consistently good - thanks to Rosa and Marco ehi did a great job Hikes & Information - excellent - (Matè and Kristijan are brilliant and worked well together) Boat - could have been better. Bathrooms need upgrading and/or more frequent cleaning.. Also better deck chairs and sun beds/cushions for sun bathing on the boat. The dining area was lovely and well maintained. The crew were helpful and friendIy.
