It was a great week, great people and lots of fun! Many additional costs in the week for excursions, dinners etc that makes the trip cost a lot more than you realise. The trip leader was great but sometimes felt a little salesy and not genuinely caring. He offhanded a lot of organisation to participants who had to initiate activities to bring people together. Sometimes noone knew what was going on because plans weren't communicated. Would have liked more collabs with other boats at parties; the crowd was mainly our boat and other people at the club were a bit odd, especially some older Croatian men. At the Cave Club, people were getting preyed on and this club already had a known reputation for dodgy stuff, but noone informed us until it happened. Food was quite good. Each island had much to offer and explore, and the people on the boat were a lot of fun. Overall, a solid week and a unique experience - daily swims, lots of laughs, making friends - but may not do again in hindsight.

Provide daily written out itinerary for people to actually read what times and where things were going on. Have an intercom (overhead speaker) so people can be alerted of pertinent info for all passengers. Verbal daily communication from guide was poor on daily activities. Cycle times need to be longer with less “coffee” breaks (30 min ride, 45 min stop) Our guide, was rude. Our other guide, Mario, was great. Overall, first impression of accommodations found that a bed overhead light was broken with wires exposed, safe didn’t work, tight quarters and air conditioning was poor, Reported broken light immediately and it was repaired.. Safe reported not working, told how to use by crew, but those instructions didn’t work….finally found written safe instructions on top shelf (which we couldn’t see beforehand) and was able to get the safe working on our own.. Food was ok. Bikes were outstanding quality….so good, I’m considering purchasing that brand. Swim stops were great.

36F and definitely felt too old for the Navigator Cruise (everyone else was 30 or less which I think is the correct age to enjoy the experience). I also felt the cabins were very basic - again I'm probably too old, but it was more basic than the backpacker cruise I'd taken in Australia the previous year and due to the marketing I was expecting something a little more comfortable so it felt like a let down. It was also dissapointing to only be given Instant Coffee at breakfast. It would have also been nice to have information regarding the expected amount of the tips given prior to booking given they were >10% of the cost of the tour. On the upside, the Tour Manager was amazing and went out of his way to make sure I had a good trip. The crew was super kind and the ship was always clean. I'd give the Tour Manager and Crew 6/5 if I could! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the trip to someone younger but for me personally, the experience was just OK.

The product is available on 3 types of ships - Premier, Ensuite and Standard. I can see you were accommodated in one of our Standard cabins. Standard ships are a great option if you want excellent value for money and don't mind compact cabins or shared showers and toilets. For a more varied age demographic and a wider range of experiences, we would suggest our Explorer Cruise, which typically appeals to those aged 20's - 60's, however is open to all ages over 15+ and offers a variety of ship types to suit different budgets and comfort preferences - all Explorer ships include ensuite and air-conditioning. Tipping is always optional, with guidance provided in your pre-departure document, as we aim to be fully transparent about costs. Despite your personal disappointment, we’re pleased to hear you would still recommend the trip and hope to welcome you on one of cruises in the future!

We specifically picked this boat for the hot tub which never worked for the entire trip. Very disappointed by this. We expected more regional dishes for lunch ie more seafood. Most meals were red meat based. The cabin bathrooms were far from clean. The floor under the sink was filthy and shower grout was in need of a cleaning. Really can’t say enough about the staff, super friendly and helpful and the itinerary was fantastic. All the stops were beautiful.

The boat we where on the Mala Kate was shit, Pay the little bit extra and go on a better boat. This was my first time on a sailing boat Croatia and I expected more. The rooms were dirty, bins never cleaned , alcohol cleaned up yes. The captain took us of cause multiple times, did not stop at certain swim spots and missed actual islands throughout the whole journey. Honestly a partial refund would be expected as the experience on this was not what was promised nor the correct destinations visited. The boat was way out of ratio from male to female also.

We offer a wide range of different ship types to suit everyones budgets, offering different levels of accommodation and comfort. For example, our Premier ship cabins, offering spacious cabins with ensuite bathrooms and AC. I wanted to provide some more information on the decision to change the itinerary during your cruise. I can see that due to unfavourable weather, it was reported that the Captain did need to make some changes to the itinerary, I'm afraid. Due to the increase in wind and rocky seas, a swim stop was also not possible due to safety reasons. Our Captains are responsible for the safety of both the vessel and all guests onboard, and in accordance with our Terms and Conditions, they may adjust the itinerary if necessary to maintain this. I'm pleased to see that after missing Hvar earlier in the week, the Captain made sure to make this stop later during your cruise so that guests did not miss out on visiting this destination. Although some changes needed to be made due to the weather in Croatia, I can confirm that all other destinations were visited as per your itinerary, and just Mljet was skipped as a result of bad weather. We have a rigorous process in place for handling any issues that may arise whilst you are on the sail, which is included in the Pre-departure information emailed to you before the tour. I can see from our reporting that you did not raise any issues with your Sail Croatia Representative whilst you were on board Mala Kate, which is a shame as our crew could have organised additional cleaning of your cabin and emptying of bins. Make travel from boat to club/port/city centre etc included in the overall fair, or inform customer of these costs, pre-departure. Give a selection of restaurants for the customers to vote on to eat together. The restaurants chosen for use were very expensive were there were cheaper options available. Have the BBQ dinner included in the price paid for the week, not as an additional expense.

Actual boat was a lot of fun but ended up with a 50 euro fine on the way out of Croatia because my stay on the boat wasn’t declared in the different places

While the crew onboard the Tuna boat were fantastic and did everything they could to make us feel welcome, I was quite disappointed with the overall experience—especially considering the price paid. The boat itself was very underwhelming and didn’t match the standard shown in promotional material or the experiences shared by friends who attended previous years. Their boats were far nicer, with better amenities and meals included. In contrast, we were asked to pay €30 for a BBQ dinner and made to feel bad for opting out. Room arrangements were also poorly communicated. We were told one friend would be in a separate room, which was fine, but only found out the day before that she’d be on a completely different level of the boat—far from us. To make things worse, the route was changed without explanation, and one night we even docked out at sea. This significantly impacted the overall enjoyment of the trip. We do offer higher category ships operating on our Navigator cruises such as Premier ships for guests seeking upgraded facilities, however these are accordingly priced at a higher point. On some of the ships the Above Deck cabins are located on 2 levels, i.e. on the main deck and on a top deck. We highlight this information on our website under FAQ's titled ""What is the difference between Above Deck and Lower Deck cabins?. We do understand how disappointing it can be when friends are accommodated on separate levels and we are sad it wasn't possible to accommodate you on the same level in this instance. In terms of any itinerary changes and overnight mooring, our Captains work hard to provide the best possible experience based on weather and port conditions. In light of this, the itinerary and port locations may need to change during the week. We present this information clearly on our website and our Booking Terms so our travellers are well informed prior to travel. hi! unfortunately, the experience didn't align with what i expected. a few examples... - we were on a sailboat chartered by a company named Sail Croatia, I expected we'd sail at some point. I was disappointed to learn upon boarding that the sails hadn't been raised in years. Instead, we awoke to a running engine every morning. - I expected lots of swimming and time in the water along the Croatian coast. Instead, swimming was limited to just an hour or two per day. - Because the boat didn't have a tinder, we couldn't pull up to beaches on those swim stops and could only exit the boat in larger port cities - Instead of offering hot breakfast for an hour and continental breakfast beyond that, passengers could only access food from 8am-9am and were told to snack on a banana if they missed that short window. the boat captain was wonderful and the crew exceptional,the itinerary and schedule were not.

We're however truly sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. As per our website, our vessels are traditional-style sailboats and they primarily operate under engine power for reliability and scheduling purposes. That said, we do offer sailing holidays with our Private Yacht Tours. On these tours, you will use a dinghy to go ashore, to the beach and within secluded bays, so perhaps this was more the experience you were looking for rather than one of our cruises you had booked. In terms of swim stops and beach access, we aim to offer daily swim opportunities, where possible. The ships do need to keep to a schedule, and take into consideration sailing times, weather, port traffic and other activities planned, so the time guests have to swim from the ship does need to be limited. Once the ship arrives into port, the islands have many beaches and locations for swimming, so guests can go for a further swim if they choose to do so. As for the breakfast timing, we’re sorry you felt it was too limited. I will be sure to pass these comments onto our Operations Team in Croatia. Thank you again for your review Gina!
More comfortable seating and a shaded area on the top deck More time in port - the water is cold in early May so swimming isn’t a good activity. If the ship can’t dock earlier, the option of getting a water taxi or tender to port should be an option. Excursions were over-priced

The locations and crew were outstanding. Our guides Mario and Marin were full of knowledge and stressed safe riding. The crew on the boat were also very good. The booking process was less than stellar. My son and I were assigned a room with one double bed, not two singles. Since are large people, it did not work. He slept under the bed. Booking knew the assignment but would not/could not change it. Serious screw up by the office staff.

1) Smaller group! With that many riders (32) the faster riders, some of whom would have ridden even faster if allowed, spent way too much time waiting for the slower riders. This was the case on the uphills, the downhills, and the level rides. People ride at different speeds, regardless of terrain or type of bike. 2) Longer, full-day rides. One day was only 10 km, which is ridiculous.

The ship was in great shape and the Captain very skilled. the crew worked hard to make our week a fun/safe time and they succeeded. However, meals are a big part of our annual boat and bike trips. Here they failed. The meals were far too heave generally and the BBQ night was substandard with much meat and few veggies...and they were buried under all that meat. The meal was awful. Equally as bad was the captains dinner of steak that was unchewable...oh, the coffee was worse than any I had in the Navy and I didnt thimk that woukd ever be possible...undrinkable sludge..this boat & bike towr tour 7th as a group. It was the also the first to not put out a nice happy hour food spread...only pretzels and biscuits. All in all, I won't recommend this trip .

I felt that while the guides did an exemplary job. The large number of cyclists (29) in the group was dangerous. The group should have been split into two. Complimentary tea and coffee while on board would have been appreciated. Other cycling tours we’ve been on gave out water bottles which are fun to have and a source of advertising for the company.

1. The wifi should work better. 2. For the price of the trip, I expected that we would have access to a good coffee machine 24/7. The urns provided were not satisfactory. 3. The excursions were overpriced. 4. The “included” tour of Dubrovnik should have included a bus to take passengers to the old town. 5. There should be enough treats during the coffee and tea hour (11-12) so everyone has a chance to get a snack. 6. The staff were friendly. 7. The boat was well kept. 8. Our rooms were kept clean. 9. The price of wine (bottles and glasses) were overpriced. 10. The captain’s dinner was very nice. It would have been better if wine was included.

Swim stops were cancelled due to weather without consulting passengers. Some activities were cancelled either because of equipment malfunction. A better hostess would be good.

Firstly I would like to point out I have absolutely no issues with the staff whatsoever - they each deserve 5 stars as they were all so welcoming and helpful throughout the trip. Special mention for Marin, the best host we could have asked for arranged some great nights and made sure everyone was included. My main issue was that the week was poor value for money, the food was ok but I have to mention the BBQ night, 25 euro for what can only be described as a car crash. When I was offered it I was expecting a real bbq on the port but no - the meats (poor quality I’ll add) were grilled in the usual kitchen not on any sort of bbq - genuinely left me feeling ripped off. Drinks on the boat are extremely expensive for what they are, poor quality sprits other than real JD, and still charging full price. Excursions are overpriced we did the canyoning and it was not worth 75 euros at all. Any transfers to ports clubs or bars are always charged and EVERYTHING is cash only - disappointing.

Travelled with a group of 12. Overall a great experience,. Although, we all felt rushed when riding , I can appreciate that when on a boat there are things we don’t know that may cause the riding time to be rushed, like having to deal with weather and docking times. These things should be taken in to consideration when choosing routes and times of riding. More time for sightseeing and swimming would have made my experience a lot better. The crew and guides did an amazing job. Would definitely refer friends to Sail Croatia.

The cabins were cold and the first nigt on board the boat we could hardly sleep due to the chill in the cabin. We could not control the tempreture in the cabin. The cabin had lower standard than we expected. The food served on board was not good.Breakfast was good but lunch and grill could have been better.. I had the feeling during the trip that we were alwayes in a hurry. and the cykling tours not relaxed.Not much time for fotos or to observe the scenery etc. Nevertheless we enjoyed the trip.The staff was friendly and helpful at all times.

We did a Sail Croatia hike trip. Sail Croatia knew ahead of time some of the people were unable to hike but were interested in the islands we were visiting to see the towns and the history. I would have expected that the coordinators would have given suggestions for things to do and historical information. If you weren't hiking you received limited attention.

More info ahead of time about boarding place and process. Better communication about the agenda, activities etc. Maybe a "white board" with cycling distances, times, degree of difficulty, planned stops etc. Also, more info ahead for non cyclists and which stops we were having dinner on our own. Announcements were not made ahead of time and were difficult to hear with engines running. More time to explore port towns. Especially Brac....no time after the ride to see the port. Food and crew were fantastic. Trip was fantastic and the rides were great

Sail Croatia needs a boat dedicated to solo only travellers. My experience was fun and thoroughly enjoyed it although it was somewhat difficult to socialize with others as they were glued to their friend until roughly day 5 where everyone started to branch out and really connect as a group.

At the end of our trip we were told that they had to hire two extra boats as they had over booked on yacht’s. The boat we were provided with did not have glass doors at the entrance which meant that the aircon did not stay indoors where as in the other non hired boats the air would be trapped in. This meant that it was very hot at night which was very annoying as we had paid extra for the aircon. It was also tricky having the skipper sleep in the lounge room as we couldn’t use that space later for group activities where light was required. Upstairs, there was no light on the deck table on our boat unlike the other boats, so it made playing card games with the group tricky and harder to bond with the others in the group. As soon as we entered the boat there was this smell of sewerage that did not leave the boat the entire trip to the point that the skipper had to buy spray to cover the smell.

The bedrooms for 3 people are just not big enough. The other people on the boat ruined my experience and expectations. Only good thing to come out of this trip was the bartender who was amazing

For the price that you pay which is quite exorbitant I don’t think this experience lives up to the cost or the hype. While the crew and the staff on board as well as the guide are absolutely lovely and the service was great the boat is old, creaky and smelly.. The air-conditioning barely worked and people complained non-stop about the Aircon not working. There were no fans even on deck which are desperately needed to combat the unbearable European summer heat. Unfortunately it did not live up to the expectations and certainly not to the reviews I’ve seen on site. The boats need full renovations and need to be fully updated in order for them to be able to get a higher rating.

The tour guide needs to be more involved with the people on the boat. I understand that they might have been doing this for weeks already but the guide is the person who drives the moral on the ship, if they don’t want to get involved and leave it up to the group to make our own experience that is poor. Lucky the group of people I went on with was amazing and that alone is what made my trip. Certain experiences were cancelled months before we went on the boat and had no prior warning to these cancelations which for me were the only reasons why I signed up for sail Croatia. If Sail Croatia had known about the issues on Hvaar and Markaska then months before the boat had set sail an email should have been sent out to people and offered refunds for trips. It borderlines on a scam that people were sold an idea that was never going to be delivered.

Our boat was a huge let down, we were told when we booked that we would be on a boat with more people than we actually had, we were also shown photos of a boat that was MUCH nicer than the one we were put on. We had no deck chairs/loungers on the top of ours so there wasn’t a space to fully relax an unwind. Almost zero shade on top as well so the only place to lay and relax was in bed which was uncomfortable as well. One shower for 24 people (plus crew), and you had to hold the shower head as it had nothing to mount to. The bed wasn’t big enough for me to lay in so every night while sleeping I had to scrunch my body up, it was also extremely hot below deck while trying to sleep this made it more difficult to get a good nights sleep. Overall it was a let down, if I were to do it again I would want to go on a boat that should actually be in operation, unlike the mala Kate which is what we were on. If it weren’t for the great people I was with then it wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

It really depends on the group & crew that makes the trip. The bartender on the boat wasn't the most pleasant and the chef was horrible. I knew going on the boat that the food was not going to be the best but it was horrible. Also, I didn't like how we didn't have to much free time and the swim spots were okay, nothing great either. Overall, the trip was okay.

Sail Croatia really let me down with my experience by not mixing the people on our boat. Out of 30 people there were 29 women (13 of which were one big group that were not very interested in socialising outside of their group) the one male was a partner of the only couple on the boat. I believe variety in people would have most definitely improved everyone's experience. While our tour manager was absolutely lovely and kind I was disappointed with their lack of knowledge of Croatia in general. Unfortunately their inexperience showed when they struggled to comand respect and order when addressing the group. This showed when organising activities or even getting people excited meet up to learn about our beautiful scenic stops. The crew onboard were so lovely and accommodating. The food was great. After stopping at a few ports and seeing the variety in types of Sail Croatia Boats I was also disappointed that when booking I was not given options to upgrade to a boat with better facilities.

I was told a couple weeks before our sail that unfortunately I was being put in a double bed with another male. I sent several emails back and forth and their response was always “it’s in the FAQs” and they couldn’t help me so bad luck. When I arrived to the ship I found out there was serval couples staying in 2 x single beds so the issue could have been resolved if they actually wanted to. Also they allowed a group of 20 friends/couples to book the ship (40 on the ship) (also a group of 7 so 13 people were strangers) It ruined everyone’s trip because they weren’t there to make New friends they were there to party with old ones and they had the monopoly on every thing in terms of dinners and that. It really ruined the vibe because everyone felt on the outside because they would take over the ship and leave the rest out, we made our own fun but would be nice. Very disappointing overall, the crew and rep were 5 starts but management side before the ship has sailed in the downfall.

I would’ve liked more opportunity on land to explore the islands, especially when we were docked at a port that was not in the town. Or the opportunity to get a water taxi in to explore i.e. Stari Grad.

Overall we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves sailing through the open water and swimming in the most beautiful spots. The boat was charming and the cabins (and en-suite) were clean and spacious enough. We went on numerous excursions (top 3 - canyoning, wine tasting and bike ride) but thought most were overpriced (€20-80) and could have gotten cheaper local deals. Additionally, there were a number of unexpected and unavoidable transfers, taxis/buses to pay for (€6-10 each). Meals on board were tasty, except if you were vegetarian (don’t expect any variety). The crew was polite, yet did not engage with us. The owner, Marjan warmly welcomed us on his ship, made the best pina-coladas & was a sniper at beer pong. Our rep Luiis was the friendliest and funniest guide who made sure we enjoyed ourselves every step of the way. He excels at relating to people and trying to meet guest expectations. Would sail with Marijan and Luiis again, but not convinced of the benefit of the Sail Croatia brand.

I felt throughout the whole trip I was being asked to pay extra for random aspects such as bus transfers, water ferry’s. I feel like I don’t understand where my almost $2000 went. The crew and guide were amazing but all the hidden extra costs are not explained properly. I feel the initial price should be increased or have a lump sum you can do at the start with card instead of having to try get exact cash for everything. We had a ratio of 19 females to 3 males which is just ridiculous. I feel there should be allocated spots for males and females to have an appropriate dynamic. The people I was with were amazing and did save the trip and I really did enjoy myself but the random hassles all throughout the trip really did not make me want to rebook with sail Croatia again.

I had friends who previously did sail Croatia and told me about all these amazing parties and events . When I got on board and asked my host about these she informed me that the Cave Party in Makasaka wasn’t open and wouldn’t be happening (this was one of the reasons I booked with this company) there was no communication from the company prior to our trip to inform us of this. Even though they knew it wasn’t open as it was start of season. There also was no theme night on board the ship which we were under the impression there would be since it is quite commonly posted on social media amongst participants. We didn’t know anything that was happening until the day of which was stressful and made taking money out become a daily task. I do not like the fact that everything had to be in cash and there was all these extra hidden charges on excursions that were not explained before we left! Overall pretty disappointed in the sail Croatia company. Enjoyed my time but wasn’t as much fun.

Rooms could be updated with fresh paint and new beds. Bedding and towels need replacing. The bike tour guide should have more small bike tools that riders could use to adjust to their own bike to suit size rather than waiting for guide to do. I felt lunch was too big as it was dinner style. most people preferred lighter food for lunch.

There is a mid-weekly cleaning service where towels and bedding are changed, and rubbish is removed. If guests are in need of further towels, these can be provided upon request. Prior to your cruise, we request height details and each bicycle is adjusted and tailored to match your height. In regards to the bike tools, our guides will have these available if needed and they can be requested for personal use. As for the meals, we understand that strenuous cycling each day requires proper nourishment, due to this we offer hearty 3-course lunches to fuel you for your cycling adventures. In saying this, we appreciate your comments and suggestions, and these will be shared with the relevant team for continual improvements.
When you travel and are doing rigorous exercise everyday in the heat more than a two towel per week seems necessary. Also the towels were all very old. The bedding needs more frequent changing. The bike ride difficulty needs more specific disclosure. Three hours in the saddle is a long time. Provide beach towels, more fresh vegetables. Also snacks for long hard rides, the riders without e bikes could have used it.

Booked based on Explorer being best suited for couples, young professionals and 'young at heart' travellers. Didn’t expect at 44, to be the second youngest guest, with the majority being 70s. The boat was fine, the bedroom smelled a bit damp and there were broken fixtures in the bathroom. The crew were great, and very friendly. Disappointed the sundeck bar / bbq area wasn’t used. Also, the ‘€25 bbq’ which was cooked in the oven was a poor offering, and unsurprisingly didn’t go ahead. All in all, I had a great time, but had I have been much younger, would’ve been disappointed with so many older guests.

I felt like it was almost expected of us to drink every single night, which led to many of us feeling sick and terrible by the end of the week and not actually enjoying the beautiful places we stopped at. I wish there were more non-drinking activities so we could’ve gotten to know everyone better. Sometimes it felt like you couldn’t participate unless you were drinking. Our boat was also definitely one of the cheapest models. If I had a little more detail about what exactly each boat entailed I probably would’ve booked the next level up. That being said, the crew was fantastic and our guide was great.

I can confirm the Standard ship category you booked is the lowest price and usually aimed at guests on a budget, and usually perfect for travellers backpacking across Europe! Different crew, more organisation, better food and to actually go to the planned destinations. Not be lied to by the captain and made to pay for the bbq when told there is no restaurants and then when we arrive at the destination there were a lot of restaurants. Drink prices are too high as well. Cleaner rooms and the air cons need to be cleaned out

The food at lunch should be lighter and healthier.; not pasta and risotto. Sandwiches, salads, roasted vegetables, wraps, would be better. We don’t need dessert. Coffee needs to be out during the morning for longer that one hour. Keep coffee out until 11:00 AM. Happy Hour from 6-7. Drinks at bar poor quality. Quality of cabin was not great. I wasn’t expecting much, but the handle was off my drawer in the bathroom & bed and pillow VERY uncomfortable. I DID enjoy my trip as there was more to enjoy than these things and had a great time. Had we been made aware, we would have resolved this immediately for you. We understand that coffee is important to some, so we provide filtered coffee which is available during breakfast hours and complimentary instant coffee is also available during the day. You also have the option of capsual coffee payable via your bar tab. We appreciate your comments and are thrilled to know that the issues raised didn't deter from your overall enjoyment onboard.
Had a good time on sail and enjoyed my time sailing through Croatia. Had a great group on board and an amazing sail crew on the boat. However, we got unlucky with wind and rain while sailing which limited swimming and excursions. Also got unlucky with a tour guide who showed little interest in making it a good time on the boat. He had no sense of fun and poor organisation and communication of daily activities. In my time travelling through Europe being on several short and long tours, he was the most disappointing tour guide I’ve ever had. Overall, I was very thankful to have a great group of other travellers on board who were keen to have fun and make best of an average situation.

Boat was fantastic Route and swim stops great Food was excessive at lunch time. Would have preferred a lite lunch with more fresh salads and sandwich type options. Breakfast were good, but coffee service could have been better. I got food poisoning from the captains dinner and missed a day of the trip. Staff made no apology or did not check on my health. That was disappointing and really didn’t end my trip well. I also think six nights would have been better and we should have finished when we arrived in Dubrovnik. Thanks
