My friend and I sailed on the Almissa from Split to Dubrovnik and had the best time. Our travel representative, Vicko, and the crew of the boat, made the whole experience unforgettable. The food was amazing and the bar staff so much fun. The excursions were great and Vicko made sure we were well informed of where we were going and all the options we had on each island. Vicko always went above and beyond for everyone to make sure everything went smoothly. Croatia is beautiful and sailing it with Sail Croatia has got to be one of the best ways to see it.

Everyone was amazing during our trip. Caesar and Christina were very attentive at the bar. Vicko was amazing and very knowledgeable about each stop with great recommendations. Overall incredible trip and I would strongly recommend to anyone visiting Croatia.

I was looking for a trip with a combination of relax and adventure and the Sail Croatia Explorer itinerary delivered it. You get into a routine of breakfast, swim stop, lunch then explore the island. Our rep did a wonderful job of explaining each island coming up and possible excursions. I liked how we didn’t have to commit to excursions before the trip. We could play it by ear day by day. He pointed out key points of interests and made great recommendations of places to eat. The only feedback I would give for the cabin is to install an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The shower makes the room steamy and since we were on the lower deck, we couldn’t open the porthole. The AC unit was turned off at night and without the flow of air, towels and bathing suits did not dry quickly. I would also make sure guests aware to bring more cash than they think they need. Excursions, bar tab and tips are all paid in cash.

We enjoyed our Split to Dubrovnik cruise; a great itinerary with lovely ports of call. The crew on board were exceptional - Max and Milan especially were so friendly and attentive - they really made us feel welcome. The cruise director, Dino, worked hard to help us with port stops and excursions. Overall, a great trip but there are definitely a few things that could be done to improve the experience: for instance, tea and coffee should be available throughout the day - we had to pay 3.50 euros for each cup of tea, and the trip excursions were very expensive eg we paid 60 euros each for the Vis tour which had 8 of us crammed into a closed landrover and those in the back unable to see anything out of the window or hear anything the driver said. The food on board ship was very carbohydrate heavy - very few veggies eg menu on day 2 was: starter = pasta, main course = rice and bit of meat, dessert = semolina type pudding. I was craving some fruit and veg! Overall a good experience though.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left nothing was too much trouble for the crew and guides. Everything was explained to us for the next day and again on the morning. The food was good and plentiful. The cabins are small but you aren't in them that often so you can live with that. Small observation by all my group was that it would have been good to be able to buy snacks along with drinks eg crisps, nuts etc as we were advised we could not bring any food on board. Loved it all!

What a great week!! Really enjoyed the trip. Great staff onboard, Good communication (daily talk by Dino plus WhatsApp) for the days activities and port information.

I was initially undecided about doing a group sailing trip, but am very glad I did. Klara and the Almissa team did a fantastic job making sure we were looked after, fed, and entertained. The Stari Grad wine tasting and morning swim stops were the highlights. Klara went out of her way to ensure we knew exactly what was happening when, and you never felt it was a nuisance asking for help. There was a good mix of ages and mostly Australians, Kiwis & Americans in the group. Would recommend.
- Katie, 17/05/2025 09:37, Travelled Solo
The whole crew was an attentive, fun, hardworking group, which added to the great experience. The food was beyond expectations, it was a friendly environment and the agenda and information about upcoming stops was perfect. Our group had an amazing time. Highly recommend.

We had a great experience with Sail Croatia on the Explorer Cruise on the Tempera. The crew was amazing and went above and beyond!! Dino was very organized, and his communication and suggestions for local restaurants and highlights were very helpful. Max and Milan were so personable and were always willing to help. Frankie, the captain, was great as well as the cook and kitchen support, who were also great about offering gluten-free options. And the crew, Peter and Thomas, were wonderful as well! Overall, a great experience and memories were made that will last a lifetime :) We would highly recommend this experience.
- Faith, 13/05/2025 13:09, Travelled with Friend/s
The whole cruise experience was amazing! Dino, Max, Milan and everyone on the crew went out of their way to make sure we all had the best time- from the itinerary, food, service, communication and the swim stops- we loved all of it. It was the best way to see a lot but relax along the way without worrying about anything, Thank you!

We had the best experience on Sail Croatia Tempera. The ports, the food, the swim stops were all great. Our cruise director Dino was fabulous. He gave us so much information, selected some great restaurants and kept us up to date in the group chat. Max and Milan were the best server and bartender. The crew became our new friends by the end of the week, we hated saying goodbye.
- Lisa, 12/05/2025 15:47, Travelled with Friend/s
Rooms spacious, the excursions were well planned and brilliant. Our host Anita was friendly and very helpful. The sailing team were friendly and helpful. The food could have been better, the portions however were generous. Swim stops lovely. Would have liked the hot tub warmer when it was available to use. The team were very organised and gave us all the info on stops, timings and what to do at each port. It is a fantastic boat the captain and crew were exceptional!
- Lauren, 27/10/2024 12:48, Travelled Solo
The tour was a wonderful way to see some of Croatia, relax, and enjoy some outdoor and cultural activities. Ioana was a fantastic tour guide and the crew on the boat provided excellent service. The history tour in Split was very interesting, the wine tasting in Korcula was lovely, bike riding in Mljet and Makarska (private rental) was a great way to see the area, and going up the cable car in Dubrovnik provided amazing views of the city and coastline. I enjoyed the swim stops and the option to use the on-board paddle board and kayak, and the food onboard was delicious and plentiful. There was a good mix of down-time and activities/walking in the towns to keep things fun and interesting. We weren't able to do all of the excursions due to weather conditions, but it wasn't a big issue (and they were often quite pricey). I enjoyed seeing a number of different locations, while returning to the same room every night and getting to know the many wonderful people on the tour.
- Aimee, 26/10/2024 22:10, Travelled Solo
The guide, Anita, was excellent. Charming, efficient and most helpful. It was a joy to have such service. I cannot recommend her too much. The crew were very helpful. Food not so good- too much overcooked meat, just one fish dish in 7 days.. Good bar service. Most enjoyable party after the captain',s dinner- lots of dancing ! I did not engage in excursions, as too strenuous for my age.. Others enjoyed them.. Cabin fine and very efficient and pleasant cleaner.
- Michael, 24/10/2024 13:59, Travelled Solo
We were a group of friends (8) who joined Sail Croatia for the Dubrovnik to Split 7 day cruise. The cabins were comfortable, the bathroom more spacious than the normal cruise ship. With only 40 people onboard I was concerned that we would be in each others pockets. There is more than enough space onboard to ensure you can read a book quietly if you want. The staff on our cruise (Salve de Mere) were supurb, from the maid throufg to the Captain, we were all in excellent hands. I loved the fact that we docked in small ports each night so we could enjoy local restaurants and bars. Each morning we stopped for a swim...as it was late season a few of us decamped to the jaquizzi where we had pre lunch cocktails...great fun! Each afternoon we were given options of excursions we could take, from walking and exploring, to bike rides and wine tasting. I would probably give the Buggies a miss as you travel in convoy at about 20kms per hour...very boring and a waste of money..

We researched well and glad we did - it was well worth it. We selected the Katarina with Sail Croatia. The booking process was simple and efficient. We had the assurance the vessel we selected would be the one we sailed on. To our pleasant surprise, the vessel and crew exceeded our high expectations. Overall, between bareboat charter and cruise ships, this is the right size boat, right size crew and right size of guests. That we could tie up every night and free to come and go without water ferry made it extra special - like yachting. Very pleased and we highly recommend Katarina and her crew with Sail Croatia. Super cruise up the beautiful Dalmatian coast. Smaller boat with great attention to detail by the crew and representative who was sooo knowledgeable and helpful. The off board trips were varied so we all had something to do, be-it the fit ones or the indolents ! Enjoyed the breakfast spread and having local courses at lunch time. Ports and local taverns for evening entertainment were spot on, with our host suggesting best local venues. On the rainy day he helped us to order in pizza for the party that erupted :) We are looking at 2025 now !

The staff, the food, the itineraries, the tours and the beautiful and spacious rooms made this cruise a number 10 in our book. We needed for nothing. It was very organized, clean and the food and service was excellent. Would highly recommend it as a must do. Thanks to the staff members. We appreciate all your hard work. Paul and Lorraine
- Paul, 14/10/2024 06:23, Travelled with Friend/s
The Katarina and her crew were highly professional and attended to our every need throughout the week. What a fantastic way to see the Dalmatian islands! Cabins were amply sized and comfortable, ship was sparkling clean. The Explorer cruise offered multiple ways to enjoy each stop and every day began with a leisurely swim in a beautiful place. Highly recommend this trip.
- Laura, 14/10/2024 04:32, Travelled with Friend/s
The boat and staff were top notch. I would definitely recommend this trip for those who want to experience the coastal small towns and cities of Croatia. The cruise director Dino was helpful and full of wonderful suggestions for activities and dinners. The food on the boat was excellent as well as the coffee. I had a wonderful week. Thank you Sail Croatia!!!
- Catherine, 14/10/2024 01:02, Travelled with Friend/s
The smaller cruise, 36 people was a great number. The food was amazing, got to try so many local dishes. The staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The format for each day worked really well. Loved the combination of swimming, relaxing, eating on board and the in the afternoon exploring and being able to eat dinner on land.
- Sally, 12/10/2024 07:53, Travelled with Friend/s
The "Tempera" cruise was interesting bc it stopped every day at a different island unlike other large cruise ships. The boat was small which allowed both the crew and the 36 passengers aboard to get to know each other. The food + its preparation were excellent. Above all, our guide, Ioana was so pleasant and knowledgeable, funny and accommodating. She got to know each one of her guests and always made sure we were happy with her options for us at each stop. Her briefings were engaging. Secondly, our meal server - M_____, was extremely kind and hard-working. Constructive criticism: In order to allow more sightseeing time, serve breakfast and DINNER instead of lunch. We felt a bit shortchanged by the current dining schedule. Overall, it was a lovely way to spend a vacation! Thank you to all for making us feel comfortable and safe!!
- Liz, 09/10/2024 21:13, Travelled with Friend/s
This vacation was our second with Sail Croatia. Our group consisted of 12 ladies, aged between 40 - 63 years old. We had a fabulous week on board. The crew were friendly and hard-working. The chefs magically made delicious food for us all, particularly amazing when you consider the limited space available in the kitchen. The guide, Dino was very knowledgable and enthusiastic to share the joys of his country with us. Our fellow shipmates were wonderful, especially five ladies from Australia celebrating a 50th birthday. Croatia is a wonderful country in so many ways. If you’ve not been before, BOOK NOW!
- Fiona, 08/10/2024 08:30, Travelled with Friend/s
The staff were great on this trip, especially Ioana our guide! Food. On the ship was very good and plentiful. The captain adjusted our itinerary for the weather. We had options to join group activities and dinners. Only wish we had more time off the boat. This cruise would be difficult for someone with mobility issues-especially in lower cabins and needing to cross between boats at ports. We had daily swim stops in am.
- Lynne, 07/10/2024 14:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Dino and the crew when above and beyond. Had the best experience sailing around Croatia. Only negative thing I would say is the cabins need a mirror in them besides the bathroom. ( Suggest maybe a long length mirror inside cupboard door and a small hairdryer and Iron on deck)
- Karen, 07/10/2024 08:55, Travelled with Friend/s
Small boat, great staff
- Helen , 07/10/2024 07:01, Travelled with Friend/s
The crew on The Almissa was amazing and professional! We were kept up to date on any changes to the itinerary and given great recommendations when in port. I loved being able to see Croatia this way!! It’s such a beautiful country with an extensive history. Being able to port in smaller cities was my dream and able to keep us out of huge crowds and overly touristy areas. I would sail with them again!!

Sailed from Split to Dubrovnik in August and the boat was great. Spacious rooms, great common areas and food was excellent. Lots of fun, great swim spots daily and lovely towns to visit in the afternoon. Also all staff were friendly and helpful. It was a fun week.
- Kristy, 04/10/2024 12:54, Travelled with Friend/s
Bought the explorer sail package and it was absolutely perfect. Wake up, have breakfast buffet on board, the captain would drop us off for a swim stop (1-3 hours), then it’s a 3 course lunch, right as we finish our lunch we have arrived at our new destination. We then had the rest of the day to explore at our own pace or sign up for the additional excursions. It was the perfect balance of scheduled and free time. I can’t wait to go back to Croatia!
- Han, 03/10/2024 15:56, Travelled Solo
We sailed on Almissa six years ago and came back to do it again as a group of 8 people in 2024 going in the reverse direction. It is honestly the best time and both times was a highlight of our trip to Europe. The sailing both times was smooth, weather was perfect and we loved exploring more at each of the stops. We enjoyed getting to know with the other guests with a mix of ages and nationalities. The food is a stand out and was exceptional. The airconditioned rooms are great (we went below deck both times as we felt quieter than on top). The crew were so friendly and a lot of fun and it was like leaving old friends by the time we left. The cruise from Dubrovnik to Split is very relaxing and is a great addition to your Euro Vacay. Highly recommend and you will not regret it.

Swim stops! I just loved swimming off the boat! Being with friends, exploring new places, feeling safe with a captain and crew who knew their stuff. Good food.

The ship was wonderful. It felt safe and solid and when we had some rough seas I was fine even though I’m prone to motion sickness. The crew were fabulous and I felt safe and looked after. All we had to do was ask. It was a very memorable trip. Met some lovely people on board who were of similar demographic and personalities. Thank you Sail Croatia!

Everything was excellent. Our cruise director Dino was top notch and went above and beyond. The crew were also very customer oriented and!very pleasant. The accommodation was very comfortable. The food was very good except we found the meats offered at lunch were always over cooked. Otherwise excellent breakfast with a good variety and and delicious desserts. We would definitely recommend this cruise to friends.
- Karen, 01/10/2024 09:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Lots of fun and good times Dino was an excellent director and took care of all our needs . The only improvement would be for the cooks as meat was overdone and dry on several occasions for lunches only, The breakfasts and the Captions Dinner were excellent though..

The Captain n crew. The fun and very informative and lovely hostess Klara. The Ship ( Salve de Mare) the itinerary and all the nice fellow passengers.

This was an amazing. Trip. The boat is absolutely beautiful and stunning. Beyond what I expected. I was nervous about the cabins as I don’t do any type of cruises and they are fabulous. Didn’t feel crammed at all! Always clean. Freshly turned down mid day. Buffet breakfast was always awesome. Lunches were hit or miss. But I’m a picky eater. The captain and his crew were great! Love that the boat has family history. Makes being on this boat even more special. And KLara!!! OMG. She made it so much fun. Our Coordinator. Team leader. She is a hoot!! And very very good at her job. Her communication skills at lunchtime to know what to expect for the day. And the skills via What’s app are impeccable. She gets back to you asap. I even got sick and she was right there trying to find Drs and pharmacy’s for me. We and especially me. Just love her!’10 stars for her ⭐️

Our who Sail Croatia team - and especially Vicko - made the trip fun, safe, organized, and an all-around EXCELLENT experience. Vicko's knowledge about activities, history, geography, etc. kept us well-informed, and his willingness to assist in planning our days was extremely helpful.
- Cindy, 30/09/2024 14:32, Travelled with Friend/s
Klara’s energy and enthusiasm was contagious. Every morning she had a spring in her step which set the tone for the entire cruise. She was very approachable and answered all questions and queries with a happy smile. The boat was clean and in good condition. Would have liked a little more time in port and less ‘swim’ time as the towns had a lot to experience. Would recommend Sail Croatia to my friends.

I traveled across the world with my 7 best friends and can honestly say this was the best vacation we've ever taken. Our Salve de Mare ship was beautiful, clean, comfortable and the perfect size allowing a great mix of hanging with ourselves and getting to know wonderful people from all over the world. Food on board was top notch, the crew was warm, kind and fun-loving. Our guide Vicko went above & beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable experience. Every destination on our Dubrovnik-Split itinerary was a place I would gladly revisit if given the chance. The combination of structure and flexibility built into the itinerary gave us the ability to go along for the ride some days, and create our own excursions other days, so it was a great balance. I cannot recommend Sail Croatia enough, our experience from start to finish was smooth and absolutely exceeded our expectations. I'm ready to sign up for another go!

We booked on the Salve Di Mare from Split to Dubrovnik in Mid-Sept. The trip exceeded our expectations. We were a group of 10 from the US. From the first time we explored the ship to the hugs goodbye, we enjoyed every minute in between. The weather was in the mid 70s, so it wasn't the HOT week (which i'm thankful for) that we were expecting. We had a few swim stops, and with the cooler weather were able to explore the towns a bit more. The service was outstanding. Really top notch. Vicko our Rep was really great-attentive, funny, helpful and really made our cruise fun w/ tons of options. Marko & Nenanja were great waiters & bartenders - fun to chat with! Ana kept our rooms clean. Ivan, Mario and Nikola and of course, Cpt. Frane powered that beautiful ship like a small car! A couple things we wished we knew, there are hair dryers in every room. Bring a clothes line to hang your wet clothes, if the weather looks cool, bring a jacket and pants. GREAT TRIP! Salve di Mare was the best one!

The Katrina, Sail-Croatia boat was absolutely beautiful from the inside out. This boat is family designed, built and owned operated. The family made us feel so welcomed, like we were part of their family, but always providing excellent & professional service. The food was amazing and so were the drinks. This boat was so clean, they were always cleaning something and one day I even saw the Captain washing down the decks. While on our tour a large storm disrupted our schedule and they rerouted to make our trip as perfect as it could be, making the best of mother nature inconvenience. Nicos, was our guide and even though he was new to this boat, you would never know it, as they were a perfect team. This was my maiden trip to Europe from the US and it was a dream come true.

The cruise was a great way to see the islands, travel with our group of 10 friends & meet new friends. Our boat was very friendly and our group always sat with others and we felt like we got to know everyone on the boat. Swim stops were fun, even though weather was an issue a few days. Food was great, and Vicko did an amazing job with helping us plan activities, dinners, island information and just was just overall fun. Rest of staff & captain were friendly and worked hard the whole week. Comfortable cabins, beautiful boat, Salve di Mare

Dino was an excellent sail leader. He provided great recommendations and helped make navigation super east. I’ve been able to return to Dubrovnik solo with no issues getting there. He made the trip very fun and carefree.

My partner and I and a friend sailed the 7 day cruise with Deano and crew. The complete trip was great and Deano helped with advice, guidance and recommendations for the trip. Everything this he advised was spot on and we could not ask for any more. Deano even assisted to locate and track our lost luggage and have it delivered to the boat. Could not recommend more and would like to sail again in future, Eoin Australia

We travelled on Salve Di Mare. The boat was awesome. The people we met along the way were also fantastic. We had the best week. Nothing was an issue for the crew and our guide, Vitcho, made sure all was in hand and was able to cater for many different guest preferences for on-board and off-board activities. Highly recommend.

Dora was great, however, the recommended dinner - the one not included- was just *fair* and they over charged us and we were left to deal with paying. I feel like payment is something the cruise director should handle. It was chaotic and a bad way to end our evening. Also, I would have done more yoga, but it was usually just a little bit too early- I was on holiday, so I didn’t want to set an alarm. The only other suggestion: have more drinks for non-drinkers. Don’t run out of Coke Zero. I’m sure non-drinkers are not your normal clientele, but it would have been nice to be offered something else to drink when wine tastings were offered. The last dinner (the one that was included did a fantastic job of that. We felt seen, rather than ignored. Thanks so much. Overall I would recommend this yoga cruise.

What an amazing trip. Our group of four couples chose Sail Croatia due to its unique vessel size (16-20 cabins) and itinerary. Our expectations were exceeded by Vicko, the Sail Croatia representative on the trip, as he made sure all of our problems were solved, and we had an amazing trip - he is one of a kind and absolutely the Croation fixer! The crew of the Salve di Mare was fantastic. The boat was clean, the room sizes were surprisingly large, and they all worked to make sure we had everything we needed - plus great food and drink. Make sure to take opportunities to go off the beaten path - find unique experiences and take advantage of the ones the Sail Croatia team provides where it suits your interests. We were able to discover so much - we ate a fish the owner of a restaurant speared that morning and cleaned on the dock. We took a rowboat to a monastery on an island. We climbed a mountain (ok hill) overlooking a beautiful town on the Adriatic. Take this trip!
