overall the experience wasn’t the best, our tour manager was extremely unorganised, didn’t know little bits of information such as where we were docking or roughly when it would dock, couldn’t tell us if we had swim spots for the next day. We missed some of our spots we were suppose to dock into and lots of things were left out. We also had to pay extra fees such as bus trips etc even if it wasn’t our choice to stay in a port further away from town, in my opinion that should be covered by sail as that’s something we didn’t ask for. Overall wouldn’t recommend but highly depends on the crew you’ve got on your boat.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations, particularly regarding communication from your Onboard Representative. Our itineraries are designed to offer a balance of destinations and swim stops, although these can be subject to change due to factors such as weather conditions and port availability. We appreciate that clear communication around these changes is important and are sorry if this fell short during your trip. Regarding the additional transport costs, certain optional transfers and excursions are not included in the cruise price, as outlined in our trip information. We appreciate your comments and will share your feedback with the relevant team as part of our ongoing review of the guest experience.
A week full of fun, making new friends and carefree days. What made it even more fun was Bruno! What I did not like was the tipping policy in the end. The tour itself is already expensive and everyone spent lots of money on alcohol during those 7 days, which is exactly what the company wants. We shouldn't be the ones paying people's wages.

The cleanliness and aircon on the boat was a big let down but my experience was single handedly saved by our guide Simon who made the trip unforgettable.
- Anonymous, 02/09/2026 15:17, Travelled Solo
Thank you for sharing your review! We’re so pleased to hear that Simon was able to make such a lasting impression and help make your trip unforgettable - we’ll be sure to pass your wonderful comments on to him. We’re sorry to hear the cleanliness onboard didn’t meet your expectations. While air-conditioning is not an advertised inclusion on our Standard ships and is instead a feature of our Premier ship category, we appreciate your feedback, particularly as this vessel happened to have air-conditioning available onboard. We’ll certainly take your comments on board and pass them on to the crew and relevant team. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure with us in the future!
Great trip, the crew and the guide were the best. Wouldn’t have beeen the same without them.

Absolutely amazing experience and crew, you’ll have the best week of your life meeting new people Boat was very old and run down but in comparison to the people and the memories you’ll make it’s worth the price would have been nice to include the taxes in the payment though was a little misleading. The other thing I didn’t like was we couldn’t mix with the sister boats only to find out it was because their drinks prices was different also

It was a very nice trip overall with very kind crew and well organised, the cabins were nice and clean and the AC worked top. I loved the buoys and the swimstops where we could jump! Special shout out to Toni who organised the trip perfectly. Some things were slightly expensive, especially the BBQ extra charge of 30 euros was unecessary given the amount already paid, and I wish some activities could have been included as part of the original fare. Fellow travellers were very nice and agreeable, but it would be could to market the trip to other nationalities to make sure it is not only Aussies only!
- Nicolas, 15/08/2026 11:50, Travelled Solo
A great time for anyone who loves a party. Meeting lots of new people is fun and everyone on board is very friendly, it’s an extroverts dream and helps bring out introverts. The boat is somewhat comfortable, a little dated but nothing terrible, the bedding is a bit bare bones - take a proper pillow or blanket. Food is okay - nothing amazing, a few good meals during the week. Staff are very great, our guide Lauren was awesome and so were the crew. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves a solid party and exploring - bring your wallet, your room is secured with payment but virtually everything on board is charged, except for on board meals. Even transfers from the boat and to events is charged to you, so bring at least a few hundred euros to cover these.
- Anonymous, 12/08/2026 04:49, Travelled Solo
As a solo traveller I was disappointed that there was absolutely zero effort by our tour manager to develop any connection between the group, not even an introduction of everyone’s names which I would have thought would be basic. There were only 4 solo travellers out of 35 on board and this lack of effort directly impacted the quality of socialising on board. Additional to this the quality of the boat was definitely not up to standard. I booked the premier navigator and yet our boat arrived with a broken bell, multiple broken sun lounges and the shower in my room was completely snapped off. The sailing through Croatia part was definitely a highlight however the actual experience provided by Sail Croatia was well below expectations. I would book with another company in future.
- Ella, 29/07/2026 06:22, Travelled Solo
Thank you for taking the time to share your review. We’re pleased to hear that sailing through Croatia was a highlight of your trip, and we also appreciate your positive ratings for our crew and meals onboard, which you rated 4 and 5 stars in our internal feedback. Our Navigator cruises are designed as social experiences, with a shared atmosphere and opportunities for guests to meet and socialise throughout the week. While our Guide does their best to bring the group together and encourage interaction, the social experience also naturally depends on individuals being open to meeting and engaging with one another. That said, we do take your comments onboard and will continue to review ways we can encourage interaction within the group, including different ice-breakers and introductions at the beginning of the cruise. We have also reviewed the feedback received from other guests on this departure, including from fellow solo travellers, and were pleased to see that the departure was highly rated overall. We’re therefore sorry to hear that your experience did not reflect the same positive experience shared by many of your fellow guests. We’re glad you enjoyed the Croatian sailing experience and appreciate you sharing your feedback with us.
Really cool time away. Our staff were awesome. Great weather and smooth sailing

Yeah it was a great trip. Excursions were fun and there was a great vibe on the boat. I will make some complaints. The boat itself did not have any sails whatsoever. It was a bit old and rundown and smelled quite bad on the lower deck. Most mornings you don't sleep in from the noise of the motor. I feel like the drinks were a bit steep and especially the bell rings being 128 euros was ridiculous. Felt like exploiting customers for more profit. There is no way serving 30 odd people some shots is worth over 100 euros. Also the bartender used his hands to put ice in the buckets. Not anyones fault but something to be aware of was the whole boat ended up getting sick by the end of it and you would hear loud coughing at night. Having to pay in cash was a let down. Someone had a bar tab of over 1000euro and had to pay $44 in atm fees and call his bank. I would have appreciated being able to top up my tab in advance via card. The port fees being included was obviously just to make sure you
- John, 16/07/2026 14:57, Travelled Solo
It was a great week, great people and lots of fun! Many additional costs in the week for excursions, dinners etc that makes the trip cost a lot more than you realise. The trip leader was great but sometimes felt a little salesy and not genuinely caring. He offhanded a lot of organisation to participants who had to initiate activities to bring people together. Sometimes noone knew what was going on because plans weren't communicated. Would have liked more collabs with other boats at parties; the crowd was mainly our boat and other people at the club were a bit odd, especially some older Croatian men. At the Cave Club, people were getting preyed on and this club already had a known reputation for dodgy stuff, but noone informed us until it happened. Food was quite good. Each island had much to offer and explore, and the people on the boat were a lot of fun. Overall, a solid week and a unique experience - daily swims, lots of laughs, making friends - but may not do again in hindsight.

Thank you for taking the time to review your cruise with us! We are delighted to hear you had a great week on board and enjoyed the daily swim stops, food and socialising with new people, whilst exploring the islands together. It is very important to us to set the right expectations for our guests, so we do list additional costs on both our website and the Pre-Departure Information that is emailed to our guests one week prior to your cruise. Regarding your comment re the clubs, we do completely agree with you and as with any nightclub in any country, it is very important to remain vigilant and the more awareness guests have, the better. We appreciate you as a valued guest of ours and appreciate your feedback, thank you for this and for a fantastic week in Croatia.
36F and definitely felt too old for the Navigator Cruise (everyone else was 30 or less which I think is the correct age to enjoy the experience). I also felt the cabins were very basic - again I'm probably too old, but it was more basic than the backpacker cruise I'd taken in Australia the previous year and due to the marketing I was expecting something a little more comfortable so it felt like a let down. It was also dissapointing to only be given Instant Coffee at breakfast. It would have also been nice to have information regarding the expected amount of the tips given prior to booking given they were >10% of the cost of the tour. On the upside, the Tour Manager was amazing and went out of his way to make sure I had a good trip. The crew was super kind and the ship was always clean. I'd give the Tour Manager and Crew 6/5 if I could! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the trip to someone younger but for me personally, the experience was just OK.

Hi there, thank you for your review. We’re really pleased to hear that you found the Tour Manager and crew exceptional, and that the ship was always clean and well cared for – we’ll be sure to pass your kind words on. As per our website, Navigator Cruises are our most popular party cruises for independent, like-minded travellers between the ages of 18 and 39. The product is available on 3 types of ships - Premier, Ensuite and Standard. I can see you were accommodated in one of our Standard cabins. Standard ships are a great option if you want excellent value for money and don't mind compact cabins or shared showers and toilets. For a more varied age demographic and a wider range of experiences, we would suggest our Explorer Cruise, which typically appeals to those aged 20's - 60's, however is open to all ages over 15+ and offers a variety of ship types to suit different budgets and comfort preferences - all Explorer ships include ensuite and air-conditioning. Tipping is always optional, with guidance provided in your pre-departure document, as we aim to be fully transparent about costs. Despite your personal disappointment, we’re pleased to hear you would still recommend the trip and hope to welcome you on one of cruises in the future!
I had an amazing time on sail Croatia, it’s absolutely stunning and an experience I will never forget. The guests on my boat and the staff made this experience truly unforgettable. Our chef Darren was AMAZING, he made the most incredible vegetarian options going to so much effort even though I was the only vegetarian on board! Our guide Ante was kind and approachable with any questions, and truly wanted everyone to have an amazing time. Having a local guide like Ante made such a difference as he had so much more insight and knowledge than a foreign guide would be able to have. The only reason for a loss of a star was a cleanliness issue on board, but other then that it was perfect!

Best way to explore Croatia! The staff made me feel very welcomed and safe.
- Michael, 01/09/2025 16:32, Travelled Solo
I had the most amazing time on my sail! I was travelling solo and we had the best group of people, I made such amazing friendships. Lovre was so awesome! Very knowledgeable on each stop we made, he was kind, compassionate and made the experience so much fun! I highly recommend!
- Beth, 29/08/2025 09:21, Travelled Solo
Sail Croatia was so much fun. I was there solo and there weren’t many other solo travellers but it was so easy to make friends cause everyone was so welcoming and awesome! The crew were PHENOMENAL, great meals attentive waiter (that even rang the bell for us multiple times!). The only thing to be mindful of is there were lots of little cash payments for bus transfers that were optional but also the only real way to get into some cities so it added up. Honestly I would recommend Sail Croatia to anyone it was fantastic!
- Sarah, 13/08/2025 04:35, Travelled Solo
I loved how comfortable was. Arriving as a sooo traveller it was scary. But the boat felt like home. I also love how it was definitely worth your money. Breakfast and lunch included! really made things easier. We also had sm time on our hands. I loved going out. Our tour guide was so funny and definitely made it memorable. And we had such a beautiful crew. I got very lucky last week. Now I’m left with post Sail Croatia depression.
- Nadia, 06/08/2025 09:04, Travelled Solo
I had such a fun week aboard the Penelopa navigator cruise! From amazing food, stunning scenery, daily swim stops, free time exploring the towns, optional excursions and of course daily happy hour and clubbing, it was a great way to see and experience Croatia. Shout out to our amazing crew especially our bartenders/waiters Charlie and Ivan, our chef Robbie and captain Big Daddy and his wife and dog Daisy who worked hard to make the experience extra special. Grateful for our rep Lovre who kept us all organised and in check. He really came out of his shell by the end of the trip and felt like one of the group, making an effort to have fun and socialise with everyone. My highlights of the week were the buggies in Korcula, the bikes in Mljet national park, the daily swim stops and many of the clubs. Only let down was the boat itself being so old and run down - the below deck rooms were tiny and hot and there were not enough showers for the amount of people on board. Doors did not lock.
- Emma, 09/07/2025 12:26, Travelled Solo
Actual boat was a lot of fun but ended up with a 50 euro fine on the way out of Croatia because my stay on the boat wasn’t declared in the different places

Thank you very much for your 3 star review! It is wonderful to hear you had fun onboard one of our cruises. Upon checking with our Operations Team, we learnt that indeed there was a technical issue onboard and the registration sadly didn't go through. We do truly apologise for the inconvenience and we have promptly arranged the refund for the cost of the fine. We do appreciate your understanding and hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again.
The boat itself and bar staff were amazing. The tour guide was late on ship which was fine but when we all boarded she didn’t introduce herself until later that evening and no one knew what was going on a many hours. She only really interacted via WhatsApp to give us a plan of the day but wasn’t until midday so it felt quite unorganised and I didn’t love not knowing what we were doing. She spent a lot of time on her phone, smoking and vaping and wasn’t interactive besides the “crew talk”. I wish it was a bit more organised. However besides that, the bar man kept us up to date always and was very nice and chatty.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed the boat experience and found our bar staff amazing and engaging throughout your cruise. We regret to hear that you felt the cruise was not as organised as expected and that your experience with the tour guide didn’t meet your expectations. Your comments are important to us, and we truly appreciate you highlighting these aspects. This is not the standard we strive for, especially as we hold our team to high expectations in both professionalism and guest experience. We have shared your feedback with our Operations Manager for review. It's worth noting that the tour guide on your cruise has consistently received high ratings throughout this season, including a 4.98 out of 5 for this particular departure. While it’s clear that your personal experience differed, we value your observations and will use them as part of our ongoing efforts to ensure a consistently high standard of guest interaction and communication. Thank you again for your feedback — we’re always looking to improve and truly appreciate your input.
With Sail Croatia it is really for those aged between 18-28. Anyone above 30 and you feel a little out of place. These days everyone is traveling in groups of 2-6. Gone of the days of solo travellers from my recent sail where there was only 4 of us solo travellers. It does make it a little harder to meet people but I guess at the end of the day it really is a luck of the draw. It definitely is a good experience. Just prepare to be oboard with a bucket load of aussies haha
- dan, 19/09/2024 23:05, Travelled Solo
Sail Croatia needs a boat dedicated to solo only travellers. My experience was fun and thoroughly enjoyed it although it was somewhat difficult to socialize with others as they were glued to their friend until roughly day 5 where everyone started to branch out and really connect as a group.

When they tell sail Croatia is one of the best weeks you’ll experience they aren’t lying!! Met the most amazing people, made the most amazing friends and got to experience some amazing scenery! I’m so grateful for our trip leader Ceili was an absolute legend I felt like she was one of us, she was so helpful, took the time to get to know us all and spent most of her time with us! The crew on the boat were incredible, so friendly, helpful, made sure everyone was happy and also joined us for a good time! So grateful and I couldn’t recommend this enough and I’ll be talking about it for years to come!! Big shout out to the crew on TRVDI you bloody legends thank you for giving us the best experience possible!!!
- Emma, 31/08/2024 15:50, Travelled Solo
It really depends on the group & crew that makes the trip. The bartender on the boat wasn't the most pleasant and the chef was horrible. I knew going on the boat that the food was not going to be the best but it was horrible. Also, I didn't like how we didn't have to much free time and the swim spots were okay, nothing great either. Overall, the trip was okay.
- Jessica, 09/08/2024 14:15, Travelled Solo
Dear Jessica, thank you for sharing your review of your recent Navigator Cruise. We appreciate your feedback. Thank you for the feedback regarding the food, bartender, and chef. Rest assured, your feedback will be passed on to the team. We hope to welcome you again in the future!
I was lucky enough to get the best group of people and best crew. But all I can say is that booking the ensuite boat for navigator is definitely all you’ll need for a week. You’ll have more fun on this boat if you’re solo or with one or two mates. If you’re travelling with a bigger group of friends you should think about selecting a nicer boat.
- James, 07/08/2024 00:34, Travelled Solo
Was very happy with the room, both the bedroom and bathroom were decently sized and had good facilities. The food on the boat was really great, we were never hungry. The crew were kind and hardworking. I wish we could’ve been informed on our swim spots more. The boat would just depart from them without notice so you might miss out or jump in without realising we were about to leave. I think our tour manager could’ve gave us better suggestions on what to do in town. Sail is a great way to travel and I really enjoyed my week!
- Anonymous, 05/08/2024 09:35, Travelled Solo
Sail Croatia really let me down with my experience by not mixing the people on our boat. Out of 30 people there were 29 women (13 of which were one big group that were not very interested in socialising outside of their group) the one male was a partner of the only couple on the boat. I believe variety in people would have most definitely improved everyone's experience. While our tour manager was absolutely lovely and kind I was disappointed with their lack of knowledge of Croatia in general. Unfortunately their inexperience showed when they struggled to comand respect and order when addressing the group. This showed when organising activities or even getting people excited meet up to learn about our beautiful scenic stops. The crew onboard were so lovely and accommodating. The food was great. After stopping at a few ports and seeing the variety in types of Sail Croatia Boats I was also disappointed that when booking I was not given options to upgrade to a boat with better facilities.
- Caris, 03/08/2024 08:31, Travelled Solo
Dear Caris, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and for completing our feedback form. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience with the crew and the swim stops, and we truly appreciate the high scores you provided on the feedback form. While we always strive to provide the best possible experience for all our clients, we unfortunately cannot guarantee or control the bookings and other clients we receive, including the ratios. As per your enquiry and request, we booked the Ensuite ship category for you. Please note that we do offer higher-tier options, such as our Premier and Premier Plus ships, which were available at the time of your booking. Should you have wished to upgrade, we would have been more than happy to arrange this for you. Once again, thank you for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you on board again in the future. Kind regards,
The views, food and friends made were amazing! Wanted to say a special thanks to our crew and in particular our trip manager Andro. He really made this experience extra special for each and every one of us marking sure we all go the most out of our trip. This week will go down in the history books for 7 days I'll never forget. Hope to do it all again soon ❤️

I had a great time aboard the Afrodita while being a solo traveler. I met tons of friends and shared great memories. The food and on board entertainment were great, but the bar prices were not competitive at all. Drinks were €10-12 and happy hour was only 10% off. Bell ring shots were also €120 at the start of the trip and usually mostly juice unless you were watching the bartender and telling him to pour more alcohol. When comparing with passengers in other boats, their drinks were only €4 (didn't have to pay for mixers) and bell rings on their boat were only €80. If our boat had cheaper drinks, more drinks would have been purchased on board, but our group was considered fairly tame because people didn't end up buying many drinks on board. More money could have been made by this boat on alcohol, but they were stingy with prices and portions and wondered why they didn't make much money. The trip overall was great, but the bar was their biggest downfall.
- Michael , 29/07/2024 15:12, Travelled Solo
I felt throughout the whole trip I was being asked to pay extra for random aspects such as bus transfers, water ferry’s. I feel like I don’t understand where my almost $2000 went. The crew and guide were amazing but all the hidden extra costs are not explained properly. I feel the initial price should be increased or have a lump sum you can do at the start with card instead of having to try get exact cash for everything. We had a ratio of 19 females to 3 males which is just ridiculous. I feel there should be allocated spots for males and females to have an appropriate dynamic. The people I was with were amazing and did save the trip and I really did enjoy myself but the random hassles all throughout the trip really did not make me want to rebook with sail Croatia again.

Hi Jessica, thank you for your feedback and for providing us with 5-star feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the crew, guide, and fellow travelers. We aim to ensure a good mix of people on all our ships, however it does heavily rely on who has booked taking into consideration solo travellers, groups, friends, and couples. Our pre-departure information and website outline the inclusions and our Sales Team are available to answer any questions you may have around budgeting for your cruise. We appreciate your suggestions and will consider them as we strive to improve our services.
It was an overall good experience and Ceili was an amazing host. Really good company!

I am pleased there were other solo travellers on your departure and that you were sharing a cabin with one. We hope to welcome you on board again for another adventure in the future! The easy answer...YES. However a bit differently... I would recommend going in peak season so the weather doesn't interfere with your itinerary. Be prepared to spend more money than you think! The party cruise is 110% partying every single day...your liver definitely gets a run for its money. Overall your group makes the experience. As a solo traveler I still had the best time and made so many friends/memories!!!!!!!
- Zoe, 11/10/2023 13:22, Travelled Solo
Our Crew Leader Nikola went above and beyond on so many occasions for not only our boat (Big Blue) but for passengers on other boats. There were two times that some of the girls on the other boats were in a distressful situation from locals or other unrelated tourists. He got them back to the boat safely in a seamless and timely manner, His attentiveness to safety for everyone was incredible. The only fault was we had 3 lounge chairs on the top deck of the boat to share between 25.
- Luke Stafford, 18/09/2023 03:01, Travelled Solo
I felt like it was almost expected of us to drink every single night, which led to many of us feeling sick and terrible by the end of the week and not actually enjoying the beautiful places we stopped at. I wish there were more non-drinking activities so we could’ve gotten to know everyone better. Sometimes it felt like you couldn’t participate unless you were drinking. Our boat was also definitely one of the cheapest models. If I had a little more detail about what exactly each boat entailed I probably would’ve booked the next level up. That being said, the crew was fantastic and our guide was great.
- Julia, 13/09/2023 07:21, Travelled Solo
Hi Julia, thank you for your review! We are pleased to read you were happy with the crew on board and your Sail Croatia Representative, thank you for this. Our Navigator cruises are designed for 18-39 year old travellers looking to socialise, party and meet others, so often some of the guests on board will consume alcohol. This is of course entirely up to each individual. With regards to ship types, the difference between each category can be found on our website and on the Navigator cruise page. I can confirm the Standard ship category you booked is the lowest price and usually aimed at guests on a budget, and usually perfect for travellers backpacking across Europe! Thank you so much for joining us in Croatia this summer.
Our boat itself was fantastic, make sure you book the Gradina. Also a huge shout out to the chef who was fantastic. Our lunches and 2 dinners were delicious. My experience was tainted by the make up of the group, but that is the risk you take with group tours. The activities were the highlight though especially the Mljet national park bike ride.

this trip was amazing! its a well oiled machine, the swim spots, the activities, the nightlife. I'm convinced the only way to see the croatian coast fully is by boat. Im really glad i did the VIP navigator on the salve di mare ship, it was clearly the nicest ship. also the perks were great for the VIP, the food was good, the maid service daily, the ship itself was beautiful. the rooms were even more spacious than expected. i didn't realize this was almost an exclusive aussie trip so that was a surprise, i was expecting people from all over the world. luckily most people were nice and whoever was annoyed by me being american i just kept my distance. i did expect more solo travelers but it was actually a lot of couples. or groups of couple friends. i wish the drinks on the boat were a little cheaper to encourage more mingling on the boat, everyone just seemed to be drinking in their rooms to avoid the prices at the bar.
- Anonymous, 23/08/2023 20:02, Travelled Solo
Sail Croatia was fun in general if you like partying everyday. For me was okish, from their social media I expected it to be a lot of swim stops, but in reality it’s very quick morning stop -some of the days then your stuck in port most of the time. They changed our tour around a little bit so we didn’t get to see stari grad. Food quality for price could have been way better, way too much pork/meat and not much flavor, breakfast wasn’t good so I ended up skipping it everyday.. They activities they offer aren’t the best, I think the zip lining was the best but the buggying was not worth the money. The tour guide we had she was very nice but not super informative, but from other people I spoke to seemed we got very lucky with out staff members as other boats girls were getting harassed and bar tabs wrong. Probably wouldn’t sail again unless it was VIP and different cruise type.
- Jamie, 21/08/2023 06:17, Travelled Solo
Hi Jamie, thank you for taking the time to provide us with a 4 star review! It is wonderful to read you found your cruise to be a fun experience as our Navigator cruise is certainly advertised as a fun, party-focused experience. I am however quite disappointed to see some points did not live up to your expectations. The captains of all of the ships we use retain the right to deviate from or change the itinerary. We try to include a swim stop each day during the cruise which I am pleased to see was indeed included for you. We are sorry that these may have been shorter than you have expected, but we aim to dock into the destination early enough in the afternoon to give our guests opportunities to explore the destination. We appreciate all of your feedback as it is valuable to us and has been passed on to the relevant departments for review. We do hope to have you onboard again soon!
“Tuna” itself was really good, the aircon worked and the chef was fantastic. It was quite spacious for an ensuite boat. A few notes on this trip- the Tour guide was very unenthusiastic from check in on day 1. This was in regards to everything from excursions, to pub crawls. The pub crawls were very unorganised and communication overall could have been better. Restaurants for dinner were very average. Although Excursions were fun, they were well overpriced. The breakfast advertised was a buffet with an assortment of sausages/meat, eggs, pastries, cereal, fruit etc. The breakfast provided was continental style with one type of egg, toast, cereal and fruit, which was a bit of a let down.
- Sarah, 16/08/2023 00:37, Travelled Solo
Hello Sarah, thank you for your review and feedback of your cruise with us this summer. I'm very pleased to see you enjoyed the quality of your ship Tuna and the fantastic chef on board, thank you for these comments! I'm surprised to see your 2* review as feedback submitted at the end of your cruise was very positive, overall. We're disappointed to hear that the tour guide's enthusiasm and other aspects of the cruise did not meet your expectations, Sarah. We do appreciate your feedback and this will be passed onto our Operations Manager in Split. We do hope to welcome you back on board with us in the future. Thank you!
The people on the boat were so likeminded and crew did the absolute most to ensure we had a good week. It would’ve been fantastic to stick to the itinerary a little more, and have more things like sun beds/chairs for the time we were on the boat.
- Zaffie, 11/08/2023 09:34, Travelled Solo
First I want to say the crew was amazing, very helpful and friendly. Also the food was epic. Unfortunately on my ship our rep left after 1 day and we were stranded, the new rep came on and bless her soul she was lovely but not suited to a party boat. The boat I was on as well had one big group of friends who didn't really want to mingle that much with everyone else or actually party much which was annoying. My roommate was also very sick and she got me sick, so I'm angry about that because it's ruined my trip. All the food places we went to were hella expensive and meh, also the clubs were over hyped and too expensive. The drinks on the boat were annoyingly over priced and so we just didn't want to pay those prices to drink a lot. I was recommended this by a friend but unfortunately I will be telling people not to waste their money especially if traveling solo. It was the worst part of my trip so far.
- Kirstie, 05/08/2023 11:40, Travelled Solo
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are pleased to hear that you found our crew amazing and enjoyed the meals onboard. We are however sorry to hear you were unwell during your cruise which had an affect on your overall experience. We aim to get a good mix of travellers onboard our ships, and whilst our Reps work tirelessly to ensure group dynamics are balanced, this is not always possible as it ultimately depends on the individuals onboard. We understand budgeting is important for guests, so we have a few readily available blogs on our website which details approximate drink prices onboard our ships, and also the type of prices to expect at local restaurants which are updated regularly. We appreciate your feedback as it is valuable to us, and we hope to have you onboard again in the near future.
Swimming in beautifully clear water, making friends with a bunch of amazing people and partying in some of the coolest clubs and locations you’ll find in the world. I had a great time doing Sail Croatia but it’s something I’d only do once. Be prepared to be a shell of yourself when you get off the boat. Four stars because our first tour guide got fired half way through (thankfully because he was completely useless) and because he/the boat tried to scam us into paying for the air conditioning even though it was advertised as being included in the price.
- Isaac, 02/08/2023 09:21, Travelled Solo
Hi Isaac, thank you for your review and for joining us in Croatia this season! It is wonderful to hear you had a great time on your cruise and met some incredible people, enjoying your time exploring Croatia together. I can see you joined us on one of our Ensuite ships where air-conditioning is not included in the price. We thank you for an amazing week on board and hope to see you join us again in the future! Kind regards, Cayley.
Friendly staff, well organized daily activities
- Pietro, 24/07/2023 06:57, Travelled Solo
Our tour guide was not involved in the group at all. He did nothing to combine the different groups and so as a solo traveling it was unenjoyable. I feel as though he did the bare minimum, but didn’t even give adequate information. For example, when we went on the buggies there was a 30 mins break where we could have gone swimming but he didn’t mention this to us. So, the whole group missed out and were extremely hot. He never went out of his way to communicate much at all
- Sarah , 24/07/2023 03:29, Travelled Solo
Hi Sarah, thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are pleased to inform you that our internal reporting shows that the majority of guests on your ship provided great feedback for the cruise and the service provided by our onboard Rep. However, we are disappointed to learn that your experience did not align with the rest of the group's positive feedback and this will be passed on. Thank you again for your feedback and we hope to welcome you back at another opportunity.
The ship, crew, tour leader, food etc. was simply awesome. Can’t fault the destinations and sight seeing either. Absolutely stunning. However the booking system needs serious improvement. Large groups are placed on the boat which inherently makes it hard for solo guests to socialise as these groups are generally not as interested to meet new people. It makes solo guests feel awkward and like a ‘spare wheel’. It was clear our tour manager could see this occurring. It would be far better if solo guests or small groups be placed together, and Sail Croatia would have known these groups were on the ship with me. Pretty disappointed I wasn’t given the option to even downgrade vessel, if that meant I could be with more ‘like-minded’ travellers or guests. I’m going to find it difficult to recommend to others who are solo travelling as well….Coupled to this when placed in a room with a complete stranger, give each guest a key. If either guest wants to do different activities, makes things awk.
- Thomas , 17/07/2023 05:19, Travelled Solo
Hi Thomas, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review and your constructive feedback. It is wonderful to read that the ship, the crew, your representative and the sights and sounds of visited destinations didn't disappoint. Your feedback regarding having 2 x sets of keys per cabin is very welcomed and has been passed on to our Operations team and the Captain. Regarding the mix of travellers onboard your cruise, our cruises aren't specifically sold or booked as solo traveller cruises and everyone is welcome onboard. The final mix of travellers is inevitably dependent on any bookings that we receive and I can see we did have some other solo travellers booked apart from yourself. We are sad to hear that the overall mix wasn't to your expectations and satisfactions, however, it is great to see that overall, based on your submitted feedback, you would still recommend us. Thanks again for joining us this season!
I enjoyed the Sail Croatia experience, however, do feel that it can be very much luck of the draw when it comes to other boat personnel, which is such a crucial aspect of the week. When there are multiple large groups on each vessel, it can be hard to really get groups interacting all together, especially for solos. The other issue can be around age disparity. Perhaps more transparency over the booking arrangements of each boat could help this.
- Edward, 11/07/2023 14:52, Travelled Solo
Hi Edward, thank you for taking the time to review your Navigator cruise with us this season - it was a pleasure to have you on board. We're very happy reading that you enjoyed your Sail Croatia experience, this is great. With regards to your feedback on fellow travellers, I will be sure to pass this onto the relevant teams. All of our Navigator cruises are open to guests aged between 18 and 39 years old, so the age range is quite wide and our Reps work hard to create a good group dynamic that everyone on board can enjoy. I can see you had other solo guests on your cruise, which is always nice to see. We hope to see you join us again! Thank you.
The advertising for Sail Croatia isn't clear because the Navigator cruise is marketed for ages 18-39 but this blog post from the official website says the cruise is perfect for people under 30: https://www.sail-croatia.com/set-sail/which-ship-type-is-right-for-me-a-navigator-guide Also got food poisoning from the boat so I had to miss an activity I wanted to go to although some activities were overpriced for what they were. For example, the buggying in Korcula cost 60 euros but involved a half an hour break where you just sat around doing nothing. The ziplining involved driving back the way you had just come by boat for 40-60 minutes and then having to wait to be driven all the way back afterwards so it takes up a lot of unnecessary time. Also the bike riding in Mljet is just a bike hire, literally no helmet or anything else so this was expensive for what it was too. On the first day the check in ended up being later (after 12 pm) and we missed the first day swim stop. Refund me.

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your Sail Croatia experience. Regarding the age range on board we appreciate you bringing it to our attention. We have the correct age noted on our Navigator pages and will update the link provided. The activities offered are a highlight for many guests and we understand the frustration when activities do not meet expectations. Your feedback regarding the pricing has been noted, and we will pass it on to the appropriate department. In regards to food poisoning, upon checking our internal records I can see on the 3rd July you had notified the onboard representative that you were unwell the night before. The onboard representative assisted immediately and no further issues were reported hereafter. There were also no incidences relating to food poisoning onboard. Regarding the check-in time, we aim for a check-in from 10:30am. Any delays in the process will be communicated to our guests. Thank you for sharing your concerns, and we value your input. If you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please feel free to reach out to us.
I had the best week abroad Penelopa with host Caitlin and while I think there are some improvements that need to be made, I still had an amazing time. Caitlin was such a fun, personable and knowledgeable host who was committed to helping us have the best time possible. The boat could do with some improvements, such as the showering facilities and lack of fans in each below deck room, as this made sleeping rather uncomfortable. We also had some changes to our schedule, outside of Caitlin’s control, that were rather disappointing and left us missing out on activities such as kayaking and buggy ing which were all crowd favourites. All in all I had the most amazing week with such a good groups of people who I now call dear friends!
- Caitlin, 07/07/2023 13:51, Travelled Solo
I enjoyed my time but was it worth the amount of money I spent? No way, could’ve had a much better time spending less money doing something different. Obvious attempts to make extra profits left a sour taste. Drink prices on board were similar to a bar and lot’s of people found discrepancies between what they were charged and what they ordered. Nearly everyone just drank offshore towards the end of the cruise. The BBQ dinner was the most obvious sign of taking our cash. Charging us 25 Euro’s for a BBQ and offering no other alternative for dinner since we were out of port was shocking. Was just very average food so reckon it cost about 10 euro’s per person. Some other compulsory charges like the tourist tax should’ve just been included in the initial price anyway, if we 100% have to pay it then why exclude it from the initial price?
- Anonymous, 05/07/2023 07:57, Travelled Solo
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and provide us with feedback. It is great to hear you enjoyed your time onboard our Navigator cruise. We strive to ensure accurate and transparent billing for all our guests when it comes to the bar tab. You are also welcome to ask for a daily tally of your tab as one can easily lose track of what has been consumed during the week. Regarding the pricing, Croatia has only recently adopted Euros as a currency and we are going through a phase of adjusting the local pricing. We are sorry to hear you didn't find the BBQ to be of good value. Please rest assured your feedback has been passed to the Captain. All local tourist tax is payable locally rather than packaged in a price of the holiday. You will find this is a standard practice across the industry in various destinations and not just Croatia. Thank you again for your feedback and do come and see us again!
As a solo traveller, this experience was very disappointing and I regret my decision to travel with Sail Croatia. There were so few solo travelers and zero effort from anyone to integrate us into the group, so I spent a very lonely week on board.
- Sarah, 28/06/2023 07:14, Travelled Solo
Hi Sarah and thank you for your review. I have checked the details, and your boat had a well-balanced mix of travellers onboard, including 8 solo travellers. We are pleased to inform you that our internal reporting shows that the majority of guests on your ship provided five-star feedback for the cruise and the service provided by our onboard Rep. I have checked your feedback also, and we are pleased to know that you rated us 4-5 stars in other areas and would still recommend us, thank you. We do hope to have you join us again in the future.
My tour guide Sam. He knew all the places to go and was always organised. He had all the answers to any question and was not only a great leader but a great friend. My favourite part was the swim stops and wished there was more. Could not recommend this experience enough to anyone!!
- Jerri , 16/06/2023 12:12, Travelled Solo
The food on our boat was horrible. There was very little provided for breakfast (usually just bread with butter) and the included lunch was always extremely disappointing (usually soup with bread and some kind of boiled meat). We were all very hungry and there were no snacks provided during the day- we couldn’t bring our own snacks on board and we didn’t dock until the afternoon so there was no option to get off the boat to buy food. The rest of the tour was amazing and I would definitely do it again.
- Anonymous, 06/06/2023 07:46, Travelled Solo
Thank you for your 3 star review and for taking the time to provide feedback on your cruise with us this season. Your comments have now been passed onto the relevant teams and changes are already set in place so that improvements can be made. We thank you for bringing this to our attention and love to read you would join us again - we would love to have you! Thank you for a great week exploring Croatia with us.
The team were awesome most of the activities were great. The boat was good value for money. Some of the lunches were a bit bland, a second option would be good too. Even if we could decide the day before to avoid waste. Hot showeres would of been nice Wouldnt affect my rating *A group chat before the tour started would be cool to meet other people.
- Vicki, 30/05/2023 21:40, Travelled Solo
Really great experience. Just could be more transparent with the costs of excursions. Easy to deal with and great crew.
- Sean, 14/09/2022 10:43, Travelled Solo
What a convenient way of getting to see all the amazing islands off the coast of Croatia! The staff work so hard to make sure everyone is having a good time. A little costly for the food you get onboard but other than that no problems. It’s not a luxurious experience so don’t go into it thinking it wasn’t clean, fancy or spacious enough. You’re on a party boat island hopping and it was just that. Would recommend!!
- Kel, 08/09/2022 16:22, Travelled Solo
The boat was great and loved Croatia, however the problem was with the organisation and poor communication from staff. There were two trainee guides on board as well and they all clashed with each other. We were promised parties in the middle of the sea with a barbecue when in reality we had an early curfew and this didn’t go ahead at all. Early June was off season for most of the clubs so itinerary was not accurate at all. Swim stops were not communicated so I missed some of them. Croatian staff on board (bartender, captain, cook) were great though.
- Issy, 01/09/2022 07:03, Travelled Solo
Hi Issy, Thank you for your 5-star review. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your time on the boat and had a fabulous time in Croatia. However, we are sorry to hear you were disappointed with some aspects of your cruise. We pride ourselves on having the most knowledgable, friendly and local Representatives. Before the season commences, our Reps go through rigorous training and shadow work, so they are confident prior to their first departure solo. I have checked, and can see that the feedback for the Reps was 4-5 stars. On all our ships we have a midnight curfew which is to ensure those that wish to party on, can do so in the towns - visiting the best local bars and clubs, and those that wish to stay onboard and get an early night, can do so in peace. In early June, most bars and clubs are open to public however, we understand that Covid has caused a slight delay in opening times. Swim stops commence each day and the onboard rep will advise everyone of the daily schedule - I'm sorry to hear you missed some of them. Thank you for your comments on the onboard staff - we will pass this on :-). I'm pleased that overall you enjoyed your time on the boat and in Croatia as a whole.
I loved every moment of my week on the Nerezine. I has the best group of people that made me as a solo traveller feel welcomed. The crew were also amazing! I did however feel some of the extra add on were not presented to us, for example the canoeing. There were also some issues below deck in my room that I thought were not up to scratch. These include leaking water from the ceiling, out ensuing door not closing and latching. The toilet was an issue as I couldn't use it properly, but I was able to make do. These issue however did not make my time on the boat bad, for me they are just amenities, the people and places you visit is what matter and makes the trip what it is. As I said before it was one of the best weeks of my life and I have you, Sail Croatia and Ioana and crew to thank for that.
- Bradley, 23/08/2022 16:51, Travelled Solo
What a fantastic week through the islands and coastline of Croatia. The people and crew made everything feel like the once in a lifetime trip this deserves to be. Tempted to go on the yacht trip on day once I recover from the craziness of the navigator cruise. Needs a few less Aussies, although maybe that's what made it so good.
- Anonymous, 22/08/2022 18:36, Travelled Solo
The website is extremely hard to navigate. On day 1 of our cruise we were told to get off the boat after the meeting time because it wasn’t ready yet. This kind of disorganisation could have been avoided if you had a later meeting time. The price of excursions and drinks was pretty expensive and the fact that there wasn’t organised shuttles for a lot of stops was quite poor. There was a lot of hidden extras that added up. I definitely should have researched my ship more as it was way too party for me. I liked that breakfast and lunch was included everyday, however we didn’t get a lot of free time at most stops. Whilst I’m glad I did it I wouldn’t be doing another sail again. I think navigator is best suited to under 25 party goers. Also you shouldn’t ask people to review on the last day in front of their tour manager. It’s very awkward and not anonymous.
- Kieran, 22/08/2022 05:50, Travelled Solo
Hi Kieran, thank you for your review. We are continuously improving our customer experience by ensuring our website is easy to navigate. Check-in time onboard is from 10:30am - 12pm, however please note that your boat may not be ready by this time as mentioned in your pre-departure documentation. The boat left promptly at 1pm as scheduled. We do advise that dinners, drinks and excursions are at an additional cost so that you can budget for this, we have prices for drinks and excursions available. We're happy to know you enjoyed the inclusions of breakfasts and lunches. However, are sorry to hear this was too party orientated. Our Navigator cruises are aimed at under 39 year old travellers looking for a more party type cruise. Perhaps the Explorer cruise may be a better option as this has a good balance of socialising, relaxing and exploring. We encourage reviews and feedback to be provided privately, in your own words - we will be investigating further, thank you for making us aware. Thank you again for all your comments Kieran as this is the only way we can look to improve our services where possible. Thank you.
Dino and Tommo made the trip amazing. Couldn’t have asked for a better 2 people to look after us the whole trip
- Anonymous, 29/07/2022 07:36, Travelled Solo
Thank you for your 5-star rating. We are really pleased to hear you enjoyed your trip overall and we will pass your comments on to Dino and Tommo.
Great experience and people involved! Loved everything that was provided however paid extra to have an ensuite and be on top deck however the heat in my room was unbearable. It was right next to the engine room, the aircon faced away from the bed and didn’t provide any cooling effect. The bathroom was tiny and hot with the shower head facing the toilet. I didn’t sleep in the room at all and slept on the floor down below deck as the air con was much better down there. I would like to be compensated for the extra money I paid for an ensuite as the room was not liveable.
- Kate, 12/07/2022 19:20, Travelled Solo
Hi Kate - thank you for your review, we appreciate it. We are really happy to hear you had a great experienced and enjoyed the company of your fellow travellers. We have 4 ship types available; Standard, Ensuite, Premier and Premier Plus on our Navigator cruises. I can see that you booked an Ensuite ship which includes ensuite and a fan in your cabin. Air-conditioning is not included on our Ensuite ship, however we are pleased to hear your Captain turned this on in the communal areas downstairs free of charge. Having a look at the ratings for this room for previous departures, the feedback given was 5 stars for the previous two departures. I have confirmation from our Onboard Representative that the fan was in working order in your cabin. I would highly recommend our Premier or Premier Plus ship in future as this includes air-conditioning and more cabin space for added comfort. Thank you again for your feedback.
With a backdrop as beautiful as Croatia its hard to go wrong. Yet, this wasn't smooth sailing. Maybe it was the fact I had such high expectations from the glowing reviews that Sail Croatia gets, but the tour just felt extremely disorganised. We had a very lacklustre tour manager that did very little to hype up the mood and bring the group together. There was also A LOT of wasted time on the boat. SC markets these gorgeous daily swimspots; reality was not this with spots in random locations overlooking roads and deserted housing. We spent 4-5 hours each day anchored in the one spot rather than seeing the actually towns/islands marketed. The tipping point being the 'Day trip' to Mljet. We anchored near Mljet at 9am and didn't port at the park till close to 2pm, where we were then told to be back at the boat by 4pm. This left about an hour to explore! After completing many organised tours in the past, this definitely has turned me of organised tours in the future!
- Nick, 11/07/2022 06:32, Travelled Solo
Hi Nick, thank you for your review. We agree - Croatia is absolutely gorgeous and we are pleased you enjoyed your time. We pride ourselves on providing local guides that have a wealth of knowledge and are passionate about their country and culture. Having a look at the ratings for your Onboard Representative, he had received all 4-5 star ratings for your week, which includes organisation, friendliness and information. We appreciate your 4 and 5 star feedback rating and we are sorry to hear of your disappointment here. Our Captain chooses a variety of secluded bays to swim in, for the enjoyment of all guests. I understand that there were some issues with the anchor for one day in Mljet, and whilst this was being rectified, there were complimentary drinks provided and all guests were happy with the resolution. You remained in Mljet overnight until the next morning. We do hope that the issues experienced didn't detract from your overall enjoyment Nick. We do hope to have you join us again in the future.
The main thing I would change would be the tour guide. He was a very nice person but brought no energy or people skills to the group. Sometimes when we were asking him stuff it was like trying to draw blood from a stone. His answers were always “I don’t know I’ll ask the captain” lucky our group was very independent and we managed to find our own things to do and entertain ourselves. The aircon on the boat was very poor and j was disappointed at the boat crew handing us the review form on their iPad telling us we need to give them a 5 star review and then leaving an envelope in our rooms for tips. I had higher expectations as I heard a lot of good things and but it’s if I wasn’t b a problem
- Chris , 27/06/2022 01:54, Travelled Solo
Hi there Chris, thank you for your review. We hope you enjoyed your time in Croatia and got to immerse yourself in the country and culture. We are disappointed to read your comments regarding the Tour Guide, as we pride ourselves on having the best, local, friendly and knowledgeable Tour Guides onboard all our ships. Upon checking our feedback for this week, your rep received mostly 5 star reviews with 1x 4 star review. The boat you were on was Ensuite which doesn't include air-conditioning. It is at the Captain's discretion whether this is turned on, we are pleased he included this free of charge. We encourage our guests to provide us with their honest review and tipping is completely at guests discretion. ,We are disappointed to learn that you felt pressured to provide this - your comments will be passed on to the Operations Manager. Thank you again for all your comments, we hope this didn't detract from your overall experience in Croatia.
Great trip. I thought I would love drinking every day but I got tired of it quickly and only wanted to focus on the exploration. If you’re looking to party constantly this is a great trip, otherwise if you want to explore just stick to hostels and travel
- Conor, 06/06/2022 00:37, Travelled Solo
I came on Sail Croatia alone which was fine since I met tons of nice new friends on the cruise. My issue was with our guide. He was very unenthusiastic the whole time, made sexist comments, and generally made me feel uncomfortable as a solo passenger by making rude comments. I have good things to say about the boat, the captain, and his crew as the boat was always in good condition, and we safely got everywhere we were going, however the bartender was another story. Although he freepoured the drinks, he was unpredictible in his attitude, sometimes being happy and friendly, and sometimes getting angry with passengers for ordering certain drinks or ordering lots of drinks. This made me feel uncomfortable going to the bar to order drinks. Finally, since the whole crew was male and our guide was male, I felt disadvantaged on the boat as a solo woman, since they were all more friendly with the male passengers. Overall, a more friendly, enthusiastic guide would have improved my experience.
- Anonymous, 07/10/2019 14:03, Travelled Solo
Hi there and thank you for your review. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed the company of your fellow travellers and found the captain and crew helpful, and boat to be in good condition, thank you. I can see that we had 20 females and 16 males onboard your cruise, with 5 solo travellers. We are family owned and each of the ships we work with are also family-owned and operated. Together we make up Sail Croatia. Although our Reps are employed and trained by Sail Croatia, our ships and their captains are in charge of employing their own crew, ensuring their staff maintain a high level of service throughout the cruise. We are disappointed to read your comments regarding the guide and bartender. We have passed these comments on to the appropriate departments to provide further support and training where required. We are sorry to hear you felt uncomfortable, we encourage guests to notify our Operations Manager for any issues that may arise onboard so that we can resolve them immediately. We hope that overall, you enjoyed most aspects of your cruise and Croatia as a whole. Thank you.
Hello, Great trip with great people. Weather meant weren’t able to do everything but was still great fun. I understand it was the end of the season but I feel Ela could have done a better job of making sure everyone was informed and involved in the week. Communication wasn’t great and I really felt there was a missed opportunity to bring everyone together and create a real family atmosphere. Crew were awesome and worked really hard to ensure we were having a good time. Were a couple of incidence with things going missing and finding loose clothes in the crew cabin. Overall a great experience but feel with a little bit of extra effort it would have gone a long way I’m creating a truly unforgettable experience. Cheers,
- Riley, 30/09/2019 17:34, Travelled Solo
Hi there Riley, Thank you for taking the time to review our cruise! We're glad that the crew were awesome and worked hard to ensure everyone was having the best time, and of course that you were onboard with a lovely group of fellow travellers. We appreciate your comments on our guide Ela. We will be highlighting this to our Operations Team for further support and training where required, thank you. We hope that overall, you enjoyed your time in Croatia and got to create some amazing memories! Thanks again
First of all, the sail week it’s self was fantastic! Ivana and the entire boat crew went constantly above and beyond to cater and help us with everything we ever needed! I was seriously impressed with their professionalism at all times! Ivana in particular was just the most amazing tour guide I’ve ever had! There were some major issues in errors made with my booking that were only noticed a few months out which really put a damper on the experience. The solutions they came to were satisfactory however the bus they booked me to get to Dubrovnik arrived after the lunch and welcome speech which was really disappointing as I missed the introduction aspect to the first day.
- Sam, 19/09/2019 07:51, Travelled Solo
Our tour leader Lamija was amazing. She was so helpful especially when any slight problems arose and we all felt like we could go to her for anything. So lucky to have her for my week on Sail! As for the boat, I'd strongly recommend paying extra for a nicer one. Our boat was not in the best condition. Overall I had a really great week on Sail Croatia!
- Anonymous, 18/08/2019 01:17, Travelled Solo
Thanks so much for the 5 stars. Great to know you had an awesome week with us and found your rep Lamija to be a valued inclusion on your cruise. We'd recommend a Premier Plus ship in future, for that extra bit of comfort and luxury. We hope to see you again soon!
Was not happy with my sail. I was the oldest on my boat I was solo also which is fine. But the oldest boy was 21. Majority were 18-20 year olds. I made friends on another boat Vosica. I wish I was on that boat. Was a bigger boat with people my age doing the same route. Was very dissapointed a shame you couldn’t have put other solo travellers of similar age on the same boat.
- Isabella , 13/08/2019 13:09, Travelled Solo
Thank you for your review. We try to get a good mix on all our boats, taking into consideration a number of factors such as; age, nationality, gender as well as solo travellers, groups and couples to name a few. Having a look at who booked on your boat, we had 6 travellers of similar ages to you. In saying this our travellers are within the 18-35 years age range, the makeup of each boat heavily relys on who has booked. We hope that this didn't detract from your overall experience in Croatia as a whole.
The whole Tuna crew was great! Eoin, Marco and chef Marco really made the trip. Also had a great group sailing as well! I would recommend, however, to bring a freind or two, especially if you do not get your own room. Also recomend doing all the activites!
- Eduard, 12/08/2019 12:54, Travelled Solo
Great Crew on board Met some great people Good activities
- Tim, 12/08/2019 06:59, Travelled Solo
Hi there and thank you so much!
Don’t feel obliged to drink and interact if you don’t want to! It gets quite exhausting as you are swimming and exploring different islands every day. Lovely swim spots, great lunches and very average alcohol. Thanks for an awesome week, definitely need some rest after this week!
- Crystal, 26/07/2019 17:03, Travelled Solo
Thanks heaps for the review on our Navigator cruise. We are happy to hear you enjoyed your time with us and we hope you get to catchup on some R&R!
Although slightly disappointed with having such a small number of people on our boat (which we were unaware was going to be the case). Julija (the leader) on my boat really made the trip. She was lots of fun, had really good information and really put in a big effort to make sure we all had a great time. Thanks Julija, your the best!!

Thank you for your review of your Navigator cruise on board Teodora. Although you felt the ship was small in size with not too many passengers on board, we're pleased to hear you had such a great time on board and especially with Julija - I will be sure to pass your kind words onto her. Thank you for joining us this season :)
The boat was beyond my expectations, so clean and spacious (premier plus). Our guide Matt was a rockstar and went above and beyond to accomodate. The food was great and the organised activities were also brilliant. LOVED IT!!

Thanks for your 5-star review! It was great having you onboard our cruise this season - thank you for all your comments, these will be passed on to your guide Matt.
Great boat, amazing aircon. Daniel our tour guide knew all the good spots and gave great tips. Accommodated to my vegan diet well although I would’ve liked to have seen more for breakfast. Overall amazing trip. 100% would recommend if you’re looking to chill, swim and explore during the day and party at night!

Hi there, thank you for your review of your cruise on board Pacific this season, we're glad you liked the ship! It's great to hear you had such an amazing time and that your diet was catered to well. Many thanks for your recommendation and for joining us! :)
Staff were incredible, but to many issues happened on the boat. Generator was down for days, the chef cut his leg open and was unable to cook. Amongst a lot of other issues.

Hi there and thank you for your review. We are really pleased to hear that the staff were incredible and we are glad to see your 5-star feedback rating on all aspects of the cruise, thank you! We understand that there were a few issues onboard which were immediately resolved by the crew. Thus being the generator being down for 24 hours, and I understand all guests enjoyed a free BBQ onboard for the inconvenience. The chef was unable to cook mid-way through the cruise due to the his injuries however, was still involved in the food preparation. Thank you.
My Sail Croatia experience was incredible and I would highly recommend the brand to friends and family. The route was well designed for rest days and nights. During nights out I felt very safe at the bars we were taken to. I was extremely impressed with the size of the room and the en-suite. However, the towel provided was an old beach towel which I believe a previous guest had left on board. As well that bathrooms bins and toilet paper should be regularly maintenance. The breakfast and lunch on board was amazing and the crew made sufficient effort to accomodate peoples needs. The paid BBQ on board was overly priced and didn’t meet myself or other guests expectations.Zac did a wonderful job on his first tour particularly ensuring the group felt safe and was having fun. He made a very conscious effort in making sure the entire group got along. As a solo traveller this was particularly welcoming. He consistently asked for feedback and would action any concerns or issues promptly.
- Ellen, 08/07/2019 19:17, Travelled Solo
Sounds like you have had a truly fantastic time in Croatia and on your cruise! It's really great to hear that considering this was Zac's first week as a Rep, he made you feel welcome and safe, ensured you were having fun and was able to assist where required - we will be sure to pass your lovely comments on to him. We will investigate further regarding the beach towels and maintenance - thank you. We are really happy that you enjoyed the cruise overall and would highly recommend Sail Croatia to others! Thank you :-)
I would like to send an email to fully explain my thoughts, however there were a number of events that detracted from my experience. Please note that the crew Bruno, Boris, Hichela, Marko, Karlo and Mate were fantastic in their efforts to solve the issues, and were extremely professional and dedicated to their jobs. When Mate injured his foot, the remainder of the crew were forced to cook, meaning the food quality decreased slightly (not their fault - they’re not chefs) and they couldn’t focus on their primary role. I was disappointed that Sail Croatia did not send a replacement chef or waitress to help. Secondly was a power issue cause by operator error, but again, I saw this as Sail Croatia’s mistake in not correctly training their crews or familiarising them with the ship. I still had a fantastic week (because of the crew and locations) but was disappointed with the lack of support from your company. Our crew were fantastic, but your company could use some improvement.
- Guy, 08/07/2019 09:53, Travelled Solo
Thank you for your review and your email with additional comments, this is appreciated. We are pleased to hear that the crew and your representative were fantastic with their efforts and were professional at all times. However, we are sorry to hear of your disappointment with some aspects. I have spoken with the representative Boris and he has confirmed that on day 3 of your cruise, chef Mate was unable to continue his role as head chef due to injuries. Given that it was such short notice, the captain was unable to obtain a chef replacement. However, the Captain then stepped in to resume this role with the chef assisting with the food preparation for the remainder of the cruise. I've had a look at the issues regarding the generator onboard and can see that this has been recorded via our internal records. I understand that the generator was down for 24 hours and that all guests received a free BBQ onboard due to this human error made by one of the crew, which has been followed up. We hope that these issues didn't detract from your overall experience, and we thank you again for bringing this to our attention via email, so that we could address them directly with you.
The scenery, the weather , the others , the drink and the music !

Hi! Thank you for your review. It's great to hear you enjoyed all of these aspects about your cruise on board Lastavica!
Firstly i have to say i had a great week doing Split to Dubrovnik. The boat we sailed on was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. I do have to say how great our waiters were (Alena & Tommy) who brought a lot of fun and laughs however the chef and food could have been improved a lot. I know a lot of people on board were rather dissapointed by this. It would have also been nice to have a small thank you speech or something from our Sail Croatia tour manager instead we got nothing the morning of our departure which was rather odd and a bit disappointing after we spent a week together. We had a group of 40 people and i could not have asked for a better group of people to sail with.. Some people wanted to party every night while others wanted to take it a bit easy however everyone all got along great which was so awesome to see.

Hi there and thank you for your review! We are delighted you had a great week onboard and that the boat exceeded your expectations, and it's also fabulous news that you and your fellow travellers got along really well! We will pass your kind comments on to the waiters Alena and Tommy as we are sure they will appreciate it. In regards to the food onboard, our chef tries really hard to provide a wide range of meals, catering to all tastes and palates, however we understand that at times this is not possible. In saying this, we will pass your comments on to the appropriate departments, thank you for your comments on this! On all our ships, there are farewell drinks on the last night of your cruise, and this gives guests an opportunity to say goodbye to fellow guests, crew and Representatives. We are pleased that overall you had a fun week!
Had an enjoyable time on this cruise. The islands we visited were spectacular and the free, led by Ivan the skipper and Steve the head tour guide, were fantastic and were able to assist with any issues. Overall I had a great time and would highly recommend this as a great way to see Croatia from the water.

Thanks for taking the time to review our cruise! We're glad to hear you enjoyed your time visiting the hand-picked, and of course absolutely stunning destinations, and were well looked after by your guide. We couldn't agree with you more - travelling by sea is the best way to indulge yourself amongst the breathtaking Croatian coastline. Thank you for the recommendations!
The cruise was fun, met some great new people. My only complaint would be the food. As a vegetarian the food on the boat was not good. The first day was alright but on the 2nd night I recurved a plate of half boiled vegetables that had been covered in oil. Being hungry made enjoying the cruise to its full potential difficult. The boat team did their best to rectify after a complaint was made. However, it should have been thought about prior, in an age were there are quite a few vegetarians and making vegetarian food is not difficult a menu that is appropriate should be considered Other than that the staff were lovely the rooms were average the parties were fun, Croatia is gorgeous. Would definitely go back!
- Taleetha, 12/03/2019 05:06, Travelled Solo
Thank you for your review - we are really pleased to hear you enjoyed yourself, had fun and met some great people along the way. We totally agree - Croatia is gorgeous :-). We are pleased that once you had advised the chef of the vegetarian meal issues, this was immediately rectified. With any special dietary requirements, these are passed on to the chef pre-cruise for meal planning purposes and our guests are offered more of the foods you can eat daily which consists of a variety of delicious vegetarian meals. We thank you for your comments here as these will be passed on to the captain for improvements. Again, we are really happy to know you enjoyed everything else and we would love to have you back!
Went on the Navigator North trip with the Tarin boat. We had no overnight power for 2-3 days when docked in port, therefore our fans in the room did not work in the intense heat, People resorted to sleeping on the roof as the cabins were unbearably hot. We also couldn't charge our mobile phones in order to take pictures the next day, set alarms, etc. Our water dispenser was taken off the boat a day before the cruise ended because the boat was going to be used by another company the following day. The whole boat vibrated when moving, making sleep in the morning extremely difficult. Eggs were not provided for breakfast every day. In fact the were on a random scheduled according to how the chef felt. One day I woke up for breakfast only to be told the eggs had already finished.. The next day I woke up earlier and was told eggs were only made every second day and not daily. On the plus side we did visit some pretty cool places and met some amazing people. Tarin and Ivanna were great!

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your review! It is great to hear you that you enjoyed the destinations visited on your Navigator Cruise, and that your Tour Manager and the crew onboard Tarin ensured you had a great week onboard. Cooked breakfast isn’t provided on our Navigator cruises as an inclusion and we are very pleased to hear you had enjoyed a hot breakfast on certain days throughout the week. I have checked our internal reporting system and unfortunately I was unable to find any reports of feedback referencing the fans and water dispenser onboard. Had your onboard Tour Manager been made aware of your concerns, we would have been more than happy to resolve these issues whilst you were on the cruise. Thank you again for your feedback, as only through this feedback, can we improve our products and services.
I had an amazing week sailing from Dubrovnik to Split with Ivana, our representative. She was so thoughtful and nice. She really did an excellent job! Joe and Marko were so personable and made our week so enjoyable. The chef, Mate made so many delicious meals. I was thoroughly impressed. The people I met were amalxng and unforgettable!
- Rebecca, 06/09/2018 17:47, Travelled Solo
Great tour leader, friendly crew, decent breakfast and lunch included, good tours and excursions, good nights out and an unforgettable week in stunning Croatian islands!
- Daniel, 16/07/2018 08:12, Travelled Solo
The scenery of the islands, nightlife and food on board the ship was amazing! Also having both an indoor and outdoor pub on board was extremely handy. Daniel was also a great trip leader with a bunch of local knowledge.
- Matt, 02/07/2018 04:53, Travelled Solo
The team on board was amazing but compared to other companies and tours I have done (like Contiki) it wasn't quite as organised or factual. If I were to sail around Croatia again I would opt to go with Contiki
- Bob, 03/10/2017 08:23, Travelled Solo
Spending a week with 40 awesome people and a fantastic tour guide (Mario) & crew was the best! Unfortunately a few (including myself) got quite sick while away, but these things happen and I tried not to let it deter me from the crazy awesomeness that is Sail Croatia!
- Luke, 25/09/2017 11:48, Travelled Solo
I had a blast! Tons of new experiences and jumping out of my comfort zone! The best: Cetina river canyoning!! I am not a party animal, and Navigator cruises are for those who want to party every night! I would recommend SaiCroatia a thousand times!
- Anonymous, 11/09/2017 06:49, Travelled Solo
Almisa Blu crew and rep were awesome! Professional and helpful all the time. They were approachable and gave a lot of local knowledge. We had a great group of travellers which generated really good atmosphere.
- Hamish, 11/09/2017 05:05, Travelled Solo
Overall my week on the Naval for Sail Croatia was an amazing experience. From the gorgeous sights and scenery to the fun nights out, it was a trip to remember. However, I think the Naval crew could all agree that our trip was made exceptional by being lucky enough to have Aleks as our guide. What a lovely, caring and absolutely fun and hilarious person. I cannot recommend Aleks highly enough and hope that the Sail Croatia team value this gem! Thanks for a wicked week Aleks! X Also a huge thanks to Izak, Big Mumma, Mario and the skippers for everything!
- Alesha, 21/08/2017 18:44, Travelled Solo
The food made by the chef was brilliant and varied every day. The air conditioning was so powerful in our rooms that it made sleeping in them so easy and satisfying. Some of the optional excursions were well run and an enjoyable experience (particularly the zip wiring and the buggies)

We were SUPER lucky on our sail to have a fantastic host Ivana, being a local herself ment for our group that we could trust we were in the best hands at each destination. Ivana was always a step ahead of us making sure we were happy and comfortable, she was quite literaly the glue that held us together. At times she may have felt a little in over her head, but she kept her cool in every situation, she never gave up on us and in the end with her patience and understanding, bought us closer together as a family, We put her through a lot during our week sail and for that she deserves gold medal And our crew ofcourse were also fantastic! super friendly, always having a joke with us, and there was not a single time where someone wasnt around when we needed help, thankyou all for the laughs and the good times. Also a big thumbs up to our chef onboard, the food was always delicious, there wasnt a single meal I did not finish. Big loves to you all, Sail Croatia you have stolen my heart ❤
- Tessa, 28/07/2017 04:32, Travelled Solo
Hi there and thank you for your review! We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your cruise overall. Thank you for your kind comments on your host Ivana - we are happy that you were well looked after by her and the entire crew. All your comments regarding Ivana, the crew and chef will be passed on to them via our Operations Manager, as we are sure they will enjoy the read. We hope to have you join us again!
The cruise was poorly planned in regards to ratios for solo travellers. All dudes and all in a group already leaves little for a solo traveller to appreciate. Having said that the crew made the trip. With particular mention to Georgia. Her commitment to people on the ship (not appreciated by all) created an experience that redeemed sail croatia in my eyes. Her work and professionalism is the only reason I would recommend Sail Croatia to my mates travelling in groups. Great week but not without the hard work of the rep and the crew.
- Anonymous, 24/07/2017 14:21, Travelled Solo
The passengers and crew were all really great. They were knowledgable about all the places and keen to have a good time with us. Sailing the coast was the most beautiful way to see Croatia and I do not regret it.
- Eloise, 24/07/2017 10:10, Travelled Solo
The best part of this trip is definitely the places that we went to that made my experience so rememberable. I did everything that I wanted to do out of this trip. Dubrovnik, Korcula, Mljet, Hvar, such beautiful places to see and to explore. I will definitely book another cruise like this in the future to revisit these places again.
- Anthony Dabor, 26/06/2017 06:48, Travelled Solo
The crew where fantastic! I loved everything about it was one of the funniest weeks of my life to date. The boat was a little rough could definitely use some doing up, showers , beds ect but another then that. Maja did a wonderful job, by far the best tour leader I have ever had! Our whole group where so suited and all got along so well, maybe that was a fluke. Thanks for a fantastic week ! X
- Emma , 19/09/2016 07:02, Travelled Solo
Booking process should show availability. You select a cruise that you want and it shows as available only to get an email shortly after that that boat/cabin is not available. I booked late, under the impression that there were heaps of spots remaining as the website said so only to end up in the worst room on the worst boat. No big deal in the end but annoying. Zero attempt by Sail staff to get everyone introduced together. Unfortunate weather meant we had to divert first night, no ones fault. Swim stops were few and far between, other ships seemed to have a lot more in better locations. missed the second last stop because of weather and went straight to dubrovnik. Weather was blue skies and no wind, I heard its because the boats don\'t want to pay docking fees. Staff very friendly. Food was actually good on boat, recommended restaurants were awful. Drinks wayyy to expensive, should be on par with mainland $5 AUD for a beer is a bit much for young people. Still fun.
- Marcus, 13/09/2016 05:19, Travelled Solo
Hi there, thank you for your review regarding your Navigator Split to Dubrovnik cruise. It is great to hear that you found the crew friendly, you enjoyed the food on-board and that you had fun on your cruise. In regards to availability of our cruises, our prices don't reflect availability and this is noted under the pricing grid for each cruise. We prefer to speak with our customers and we feel by doing so, adds value to their experience with us, and enables us to assist them in finding the best suited cruise for them. In the case of bad weather, or even the chance of bad weather, the Captain may have to alter the itinerary and will visit a different island and port, to ensure the guests are safe yet still get to experience Croatia. I can assure you this has nothing to do with avoiding port fees as pricing is similar at all ports. At the time of docking, the weather may seem to be perfect however, in the early hours this can change drastically and the captain will be aware of this hours in advance. In ports such as Hvar where it is quite open and susceptible to rocky seas if a storm strikes the captain may decide to dock at Stari Grad where the port is fully protected. As the boats will be docked for around 12 hours, for the safety of our guests he will decide to dock at the safest port possible that offers the most protection from stormy weather. In regards to the swim stops, when possible, the Captain will stop to give guests a chance to swim, however this depends on the weather and the scheduling of the ship. I am sorry that this wasn't communicated clearly to you when on-board. In regards to the drinks prices, these do vary and range from 1.96EUR ($2.60AUD) to 2.60EUR ($3.50AUD). Thank you again for taking the timing to let us know about your experience.
I had a fantastic week on Sail croatia! It was great as a solo traveller as I made many new friends. The week went way too fast and I would have like to see more of the islands, but for a first trip it was fab! The staff on our boat were wonderful and the only reason I have given it 4 not 5 stars is because of the facilities on the boat which could have been a little bit better. Otherwise I highly recommend!
- Brooke , 01/09/2016 08:56, Travelled Solo
Great staff, Great food (Thanks cindy!!!)
- Lucy, 01/09/2016 07:32, Travelled Solo
The crew onboard Tarin were AMAZING! Food was fantastic and each stop- both swimming and overnight- was beautiful too! Ziplining and wine tasting tours were great as well!
- Ashleigh, 31/08/2016 17:46, Travelled Solo
The boat cabin (tvrdi) was cramped and stifling hot, the beer on the boat was a little more expensive than expected, but it was all worth it for one hell of a time! 38 people who all had one thing in common. They wanted to make memories (and lose some). If it's a party you want the navigator cruise is your choice. DEEP CLUB, HULA HULA, CARPE DIEM AND BOOGIE JUNGLE are the nights to be excited for. Stay AWAY from revelling in dubrovnik.
- Martyn, 22/08/2016 03:44, Travelled Solo
This tour is definitely suited to people who just want to party. I didn't know a lot about Sail Croatia before I went on this tour so I was surprised that it was just all Aussie's and Kiwi's. The food was pretty terrible. We had to skip 2 islands because of the weather. I didn't like how we had multiple tour managers, it would have been nice to have one for the entire trip. But apart from that I met a lot of cool people and got to see the spectacular islands.
- Carla, 15/08/2016 19:39, Travelled Solo
Hi there, thank you for your review. It is great to hear you met a lot of cool people and enjoyed the islands. Our Navigator cruises are designed for 18-35 year olds looking to socialise with more of a party-type atmosphere. We try our best to ensure our website is clear to guests about the experience of each cruise, and we are happy to assist if anyone is unsure of which cruise to choose. We also have an online cruise assessment which you can use to find out which cruise is best suited to you. Our cruises are very popular with New Zealanders and Australians as well as various different countries, and where possible we do try to ensure an even mix of travellers onboard our boats taking into consideration ages, nationalities and genders, however this heavily depends no who has booked. Your comments about food will be looked into so we can improve this for the future. With regards to you having multiple Sail Croatia Representatives, this is something that we are currently assessing.
The room that I got was on the ensuite boat downstairs. Unbearable. Was so so hot down there, get no breeze through the hallway door, and when I opened the outside window a wave came in soaking my bed and ruining my phone. If your going to have rooms like this you need to make sure that the aircon on the boat works and if it doesn't work, get it fixed. I got really sick from this week due to lack of sleep and sleep in a saltwater soaked bed. Food was good, crew was good, activity options were good
- Nathan, 10/08/2016 04:32, Travelled Solo
Hi there and thanks for your feedback. We are pleased to hear the food on-board was good as well as the optional activities and crew - we will pass your comments on to them. In regards to the Lower Deck cabins, at times the rooms can become hotter during peak months. We advise, when safe, to open your port hole for ventilation whilst you are in your cabin to let air-flow through. As you booked an Ensuite Lower Deck cabin, we provide a fan in each of our Ensuite cabins as air-conditioning is not included on this boat type, (it is included on our Premier and Premier Plus boats). We are sorry to hear about the soaked bed. We have rigorous procedures in place for any issues that arise on-board our cruises, which is included in the pre-departure information emailed to you before the cruise and is outlined at the welcome speech. The first step is to communicate with the crew. If this does not resolve the issue, the second step is to contact our representative in which case we log this in our central reporting and manage the issue onboard until it is fully resolved and customers are happy. We also supply the contact details for our Operations Manager and Managing Director in the unlikely event you are disatisfied with any response from our team members. This procedure does then give us the opportunity to resolve an issue during the trip and follow up or check historical issues.I have searched our records and cannot see that you had reported this to a member of staff. Had this been reported, we would have rectified the bedding situation immediately. We are happy that you had a good trip overall and thank you for providing feedback.
Had a great time, however, the ratio of girls to guys was way too unbalanced on our boat, we were 28 girls and 5 guys, where 14 of those girls came as a group and kept to themselves most of the time. This limited group socialising. And then hearing about other boats who were having so much more fun as their group socialised more. Was a great cruise, make some cool friends nonetheless.
- Mary, 01/08/2016 21:12, Travelled Solo
Thank you for your feedback on our Navigator Dubrovnik to Split cruise. It's great to hear you had a good time on this cruise and made some new friends. We always aim to get a good balance on-board all our boats taking into consideration age, gender, nationality, group makeup - friends, solo travellers and couples. However, at times this is not possible as it heavily depends on who has booked what boat. We would like all our guests to socialise with other groups on-board, but it is down to the individual. In saying this, we had several boats on this route which hopefully provided you with a more sociable atmosphere in being able to mingle with travellers from other boats. Thanks again for your feedback.
I had a great week but there was certainly room for improvement. In the pros, I booked the most expensive boat of the fleet and it did not disappoint. It was large, clean, and the rooms were pretty spacious! Areas for improvement were - the price of 'happy hour' drinks (they are more expensive then most bars in tourist areas), the attitude of some staff members was petty unprofessional and a few of the excursions were expensive and over-rated. Easy things to fix - and overall, a great week:) would recommend
- Danika, 01/08/2016 06:18, Travelled Solo
Travelling Solo was a great way to experience this Sail week. Met so many new friends and all the staff were amazing on board, always wanted us to have a good time and would met our needs on any situation. Great to see so many areas of Croatia and were well informed on each spot we docked up. It is a trip you make what you make of it so a positive vibe and the willingness to try something new at every opportunity will see an epic week had and shared with others. Cant recommend it enough, but would do it again in a heart beat
