Good organization. Bikes in good shape. Clean cabin.
- Anonymous, 19/05/2025 06:03, Travelled in a Couple
Our guide Tonka was fantastic. The boat was clean and the crew was friendly and extremely competent. The group size was too large for me (30) and we ended up having to stop for long periods while we waited for non-e-bike riders to catch up. I found this frustrating and believe the two bike types need to be separated in mountainous terrain. We had a sun deck on our boat but there were no chairs or any way to sit on it. It only had permanent sunbathing pads fixed to the deck. That was a disappointment as there was not seating anywhere outside for the entire group. The boat maintenance needed a bit of improvement as multiple lights in our cabin did not work and the air conditioner never cooled the room. Croatia was gorgeous and the ride routes were fantastic. Food was good and the bikes were very comfortable and well maintained. I would not use Sail Croatia again unless they separate the bike types and have smaller group offerings or split the group with two lead guides.

Hi Thann, thank you for your 4-star review. We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed the stunning Croatian scenery, the quality of the bikes, the meals served and that Tonka and our crew made a positive impression. We value your insights and will be reviewing the points you've raised regarding group sizes, bike type separation, deck seating, and cabin maintenance. Feedback like this is essential in helping us maintain the high standards we strive for. We're continually reviewing our operations to ensure the best possible experience for all guests, and your input helps us refine how we manage mixed-ability groups on tour and improve our overall services. Thank you again for your comments — they help us create a better experience for all our guests.
Beautiful scenery and lovely people. Ebiking was great and bikes were well maintained and worked well. H was very good at keeping us safe and organized. I think some instructions could have been useful on how to use them though. I have 2 e-bikes at home and they are all different. The only thing that would have made the trip better was to have a ‘get to know you’ event on the first night for guests. Also a few optional organized activities on the afternoons and evenings when we were in ports where islands had little to do. For the cabins a few hooks on the walls and bathroom would have been useful.
- Carla, 14/05/2025 07:26, Travelled in a Couple
Everyone was so friendly both guests and staff. All staff worked hard to ensure we had a pleasant experience. I felt we should have had complementary tea/coffee available at all times. Also the cycle part of our trip could have given water bottles .
- Andrew , 12/05/2025 15:21,
The staff could not have been more helpful, the guides were knowledgeable and were quick to make changes when the weather demanded it. However charging €40 for a bottle of sparkling wine that retails at £6 is outrageous.
- Colin, 12/05/2025 10:14, Travelled with Family
The cycle experience was amazing. Great bikes, easy to use, even for late 60 year olds relatively new to ebikes. Each day was another 'wow' experience. Josko and Ana great tour guides who each day explained what could expect the following day and also during the cycle. The islands were fantastic, not too busy in mid April, weather for us was brilliant..21-33 each day and fine Our negatives were beds not very comfortable. The food was varied some great, some not so,
- Dianne , 05/05/2025 08:48, Travelled in a Couple
The itinerary was excellent as was the cycling with great scenic routes that allowed us to see parts of the country we would not otherwise have done. The weather and amazing group of people were the icing on the cake. What was less good was the interstaff bickering which at times bordered on unprofessional and was making some guests feel a little uncomfortable Finally it should be stressed to guests to absolutely not jump from the top deck which is slippy and one guest really badly bruised herself in slipping off
- Anne, 28/04/2025 06:33, Travelled in a Couple
Hi Anne, thank you for your 4-star review. We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the itinerary, scenic cycling routes, and the great group atmosphere—it’s wonderful to know these made your experience special. We’re sorry to hear that some onboard interactions made you feel uncomfortable. While the crew onboard were newly formed and still finding their rhythm, we agree professionalism must always be maintained, and we will share this with the relevant teams. Regarding the safety concern, we appreciate you highlighting it. Our onboard representative does cover this during the welcome briefing, and signage is visible and in place on the top deck. Thank you again for your helpful review.
nice group 50 to 80 years old friendly people. Great bike rides on beautiful island boat ok, no sailing - there are no sails. friendly and helpfull staff

- manager and staff on the boat were fabulous- Friendly and helpful. Always available. - Bike tour guide- fun, patient and helpful. - location of the tour was great.

Our guides Miranda and Tonia were the best! They were encouraging and helpful and knowledgeable! The boat was nice however I might mention a few things they could improve. Be more transparent about pricing of drinks. Choices of breakfast food could be better. Like more fruit and better toaster. Squeegee for showers to help with humidity in the rooms. Better WiFi in rooms. The ports were amazing and captain was great at parking the boat! I love Croatia and the people who live there are friendly and kind! We will be back!
- Demetria, 18/10/2024 10:01, Travelled with Friend/s
Once on board the very comfortable boat, we were well looked after by delightful guides, good chefs, bar staff and boat crew. Good quality e-bikes, excellent guiding around five beautiful Croatian islands, the crew having to adjust the itinerary due to the weather conditions. The other passengers were similar ages to us, loved cycling and the exploring of new places so there were plenty of common interests.

Our tour hosts Ivan and Lucija were wonderful hard working guides. Thanks. Lucy and the rest of the kitchen staff were amazing. Thanks. The ship, crew and captain were amazing. Thanks. To be at a beautiful Croatian port, on the Adriatic sea in the morning and not allowed to have any type of coffee on the ship till 7:30 is a sad fact.
- Rob, 09/10/2024 16:36, Travelled with Friend/s
Beautiful Croatian coast and a good crew
- Tony, 07/10/2024 12:52, Travelled in a Couple
The other cyclists on board made this holiday so much fun. They were all so friendly and easy going. All with a sense of adventure and fun. Having never visited Croatia before I was blown away by its beauty. A truly amazing holiday. I will definitely be back.

The crew did a great job making us as comfortable as possible. Our cycle guides were exceptional. The trip could only have been made better with better/newer boat.
- Darrell, 07/10/2024 06:47,
Loved the combination of seeing the islands by land and sea. The biking through the country side on each island was beautiful and so much fun, loved our e-bikes. We had amazing tour guides and boat crew! Unfortunately we had a couple of days of bad weather, but the crew and guides were quick to adjust our course and itinerary to avoid this as best they could and everything turned out great. Thank you! Highly recommend!

The guides we had were exceptional. The people we teamed up with were great company..

I enjoyed the sail/cycle cruise immensely and would do it again in a heartbeat if I had the opportunity. Our tour guides, Lola and Dora, were the very best we could have hoped for. They went above and beyond to make our time enjoyable, especially as we had to change the planned itinerary due to the weather. I can't speak highly enough of them, and the crew on our boat 'Columbia' from 14 to 21 September. Thank you!
- Caroline, 04/10/2024 11:26, Travelled with Friend/s
Lots of great people on this trip including two great guides and the ships crew. The biking was challenging and fun though 32 people are rather a lot to organize. The boat was not as good as we hoped, but probably our fault as we thought we had gone premium plus rather than premium. Cabins were very small and the food was OK but not great.
- Peter, 02/10/2024 23:12, Travelled with Friend/s
Friendly staff. Well organized guides. Clean ship

- Craig, 30/09/2024 11:29, Travelled in a Couple
The Croatian islands are so beautiful to see when biking. The EOS ship was not as nice as other pictures on the website. The staff were all pleasant. Vegetarian options were limited. Despite rain, the staff worked very hard to reroute us and gave us a wonderful experience.
- Anonymous, 27/09/2024 19:47, Travelled in a Couple
The Guides were great. friendly, helpful, knowledgable. The islands were stunning. However, the boat was only standard. The food was quite basic. The cabin was very cramped, the bathroom smelled bad and the bed sheets were a problem. Two single sheets on a double bed! We were in a tangle all night. A double sheet or duvet would have been much better.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on our Cycle Croatia cruise and for your 4-Star score. We’re thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the stunning beauty of the islands and found our guides to be friendly, knowledgeable, and a highlight of your trip. Our team always strives to create an exceptional experience for our guests, and it’s wonderful to know they made a positive impression. We appreciate your candid feedback regarding the accommodation, particularly the cabin size and the issue with the bed linens. Cabins on our Premier ships are cozy and functional and range in size from 6 to 8m2. We have our 'ship types' displayed via our website so guests can view images and details about each ship category. This gives indepth information of the amenities to ensure that our advertising accurately represents the accommodations provided. We highly recommend checking this prior to booking your cabin to avoid disappointment. For more spacious cabins, we recommend checking our Premier Plus ships. Our representatives are always very happy to help resolve any issues that arise and had you asked them for another set of sheets more suitable, they would have been very happy to arrange these. I have checked with the Captain and Crew and the weather was very unfortunate during your week onboard with us. At times if there is bad weather, smell can occur in the bathroom emitting from the shower drains. This is due to the movement of the ships on the water whereby this movement opens up airflow at the back of the pipe and into the bathroom. This is addressed in the Welcome Speech by the Sail Croatia Representative on board. Thanks again for your valuable feedback, and we hope to welcome you on board again in the future.
Nice way to travel round Croatia to get to see islands Crew on ship very nice Organisation good Food plentyful Group were Nice like minded

Princess Diana is a roomy well maintained boat with warm wood and attentive crew. Andro and Karla helped us explore the history and beauty of the Dalmatian Coast and islands. The recommendations to use e-bikes made the hills easier and attainable. We thoroughly enjoyed this Croatian get away with Sail Croatia.
- Sharon, 23/09/2024 20:10,
As the weather was inclement to keep to the original itinerary, the crew and tour guides were awesome in adapting our itinerary and cycle routes. The places they ported were just as amazing and beautiful.
- Kylie , 23/09/2024 16:37, Travelled with Friend/s
Anton and Karla our cruise / bike leaders did well with the large group of cyclists that were on-board the Princez Diana. Delaying a couple of rides due to weather and adding an additional ride for the island that we missed due to the weather. However, some of the riders did not like the fact that the additional 20km added for this additional ride were not given the option of missing it as it was stated before the start of the ride the group was told the additional ride would be optional. The kitchen staff were outstanding with excellent choices made for B / L and Dinners that we were given on the boat. I would've appreciated coffee included with lunch or dinner though not just breakfast. As for the room (Cabin #5) it was adequate as we did not have a working safe - staff said someone would fix it but that was never done. The venting in the bathroom was not good and the annoying relay pump sound was pretty bad when anyone was using water on the boat. I would recommend the cruise.
- David, 23/09/2024 14:42, Travelled in a Couple
Best way to see Croatia by Boat and Bike. Biking tge islands on ebikes is the only way to go!!! Fantastic. Staff and Crew were awesome. Food was Great. Chef was awesome and full of exuberance. I only downgraded to 4 stars due to Cabin comfort. Need better air circulation and climate control for sleeping.
- John, 23/09/2024 10:06, Travelled with Friend/s
I was very happy with the tour. The crew was happy going and all operations were smooth, The guides were well qualified, engaged and expressed kindness towards the the guests every day of the tour. Indeed a very good experienced, the second time I go with Sail Croatia in the beautiful area. My suggestions are: 1) Slow down the bike tours, make more brief stops to enjoy the splendor of nature. 2) Make the diet more in accordance with environmental and dietary recommendation (less meat, more vegetables and fruits). Furthermore, take measures to reduce food wast. As a first step, measure the food waste on board and calculate how much it costs. 3) Express your concern for nature in the selections of all materials and operation; including detergents, sorting of waste, motor efficiency; even the use of sails when possible. 4) Improve considerably the quality of the coffee you serve. For many people a good cup of coffee makes even a rainy day bright and sunny.

Cycling was great, tour guides very knowledgeable of the area.
- Deanna , 20/09/2024 07:28, Travelled in a Couple
This is a well organised & experienced company who deliver what they claim. We visited scenic port villages, ate well, did some cycling (not as much as we wanted due to inclement weather) and made new friends from around the world. The crew & guides worked really hard to meet the varied needs of the guests.
- Frank, 19/09/2024 05:23, Travelled with Friend/s
We loved the bicycle part of the trip and the beautiful stops at night. Some of our itinerary changed due to bad weather and port issues, but the crew and guides worked to make it a good experience, and it was.. However guests got seasick. My only problem was caused by jumping into the water from the top of the boat, and that was due to my poor judgment. Swimming in the sea was fun!
- Kay, 16/09/2024 04:38, Travelled with Friend/s
Fabulous trip great meeting people worldwide the islands we stopped at were amazing tour was well a organised food was ok drinks were very expensive on the boat I think a lot more drinks would be served if this was not so excessive also hidden costs should be told up front paying for national parks and also the city tax was a lot more expensive than hotels city tax ?why ? we paid 3 times more than normal city tax when i questioned this I was told this was for staff for lifting bikes on and off ? is that not part of the holiday fees? need to be up front to people with all these charges shame only thing that put dampner on an exciting holiday
- mario, 15/09/2024 18:42, Travelled with Friend/s
Dear Mario, Thank you for your recent 4 star review. I'm pleased to see you had a fabulous time on-board your recent Cycle Cruise, and you appreciated the organisation of the tour. We do advise on our FAQS, and also your Online Account that there is a "A local payment of 40 Euros per person is payable onboard your Sail Croatia Cruise. This payment incorporates port fees and tourist taxes throughout the week and is subject to change." so that is not a surprise to guests when on-board the cruise. Thank you for your feedback on the food and drinks, this is appreciated and will be passed onto our Operations Team. We do appreciate you as a valued customer of ours and are glad the feedback raised in your review did not deter you from having a great time on board. We hope to welcome you again in the future!
The land, the people and many others things, and most importantly the tour guides, Míla and Maren 👌👌

Landscape and surroundings were wonderful. Bicycle trips were very nice - I only regret having more time to take photos on the way. Staff on board were helpful and charming. And the best part:: getting to know and make friends with other international guests were fantastic!

A. Make aircondition in cabin to work. B. Reduce information from the Cycling guide. Too much Information for the next day. C. More time to swim during time on board from one port to another D. We all had electric bikes. The Cycling was shorter Than expected.
- Henning, 09/09/2024 13:46, Travelled with Friend/s
Dear Henning, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely value all input, as it helps us improve and ensure that our trips meet the diverse expectations of our guests. We understand that you felt the cycling routes were shorter than expected and that there could have been more opportunities for swim stops. We aim to balance both activities in a way that suits the varying preferences of our guests, but we appreciate your thoughts and will certainly take them into consideration. Regarding the information provided by the cycle guide, it’s our goal to ensure that all guests have the context and details they need for a safe and enjoyable experience. However, we understand that preferences for information can vary, and we will review how we can provide a balance between giving useful details while not overwhelming our guests. Upon checking our internal reports, there were no reports of issues regarding the air-conditioning in your cabin. We have a rigorous process in place for any issues that arise onboard, which is outlined in your pre-departure information. Following this process ensures that no incident is left unreported and gives us the best chance to resolve this during the cruise for you. Your feedback is invaluable to us so we do thank you for taking the time to provide it. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon.
We had a great time, all 28 people from all over the world, got on fantastically well. The bikes were of a good quality and everyone managed to get on really well with the e-bike I would have liked some longer rides, the longest ride was only about 50 kms, I would have liked to do this every day. The sail Croatia jersey, should be free to all and a day set aside when everyone wears it. I was the only person that bought a jersey and it certainly was not worth the £50 paid. We only swam off the boat twice and this was something we were looking forward to, This trip is not cheap and I realise we had one of the better boats, but with payment of food when off the boat and more expensive drinks when on the boat, our limit of spending was soon exceeded, to be then expected to pay for tips and what was an expensive payment was above what we could afford. The crew should not have to rely on tips and should be covered on the initial spend. I would be happy to talk more if requested.
- Martyn, 09/09/2024 07:39, Travelled in a Couple
Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend! A few suggestions/tips: - We realize that it’s challenging to prepare food on a boat and to meet different preferences. We would suggest having at least some lunch buffets, where people could choose (e.g., salads, sandwiches) instead of 3-course meals. A buffet would be quicker and enable people to sit on the desk rather than the often very hot and stuffy dining room. - The food was often very heavy (fried meats, limited vegetables/salads). If guests were warned about this, they could request vegetarian or other accommodations. - We were not allowed to bring food on board so snacks should be available (free or not). There was fruit but nothing else and often we were unable to leave the boat. We were often quite hungry after the ride but had to wait to eat. - It would be helpful if the trip leader provided information about the towns further in advance than the afternoon that we arrived so there would be enough time to plan.

Loved the islands and the sea was amazing. Our trip, in August, made for really hot biking but great swimming. The tour ran like a clockwork schedule. The right mix of hard work and down time. Our bike guide could have been a bit more personable. Food was great bur so much was a bit overwhelming. Because boats were anchored together with other boats overnight loud passengers crossing in and out often disturbed our sleep late into the night. A sign for "Quiet hours after 10pm" would have been great. Our room was very comfortable but more hooks on the walls are needed. Our stewardesses, Paula and Olga and our tour coordinator Mila were great as were the whole crew.
- stacey, 03/09/2024 09:11, Travelled with Friend/s
The combination of riding to touring was great. Last couple of days would have been nice to have some more cycling but I recognize this is dictated by the size of the island.
- Ian, 02/09/2024 12:17, Travelled with Friend/s
It was a lovely trip through the Dalmatian Islands, the cycling was challenging yet worthy, but I do think the bar prices on the boat could have been more competitive. We found ourselves preferring to be gathered in a bar or restaurant when we’d have rathered stay on board and have a drink on the top deck, etc. the dining room was often stiflingly hot, the AC may have been a good idea on some of the particularly hot days. The crew and staff were great, very efficient, and overall this was the best way to see this gorgeous country. Thank you!!
- Karen, 02/09/2024 04:37, Travelled with Friend/s
The crew was amazing. From Andre our server to Matek and Christiana the sailors, everyone was friendly, helpful and competent. The cabins were small and cramped. Not much storage space. But we were only in our cabins to sleep or shower. Katarina and Mila were excellent cycling guides. Meals were substantial- no need to ever go hungry! It would be great if there was some decent coffee at breakfast. The coffee was terrible! The cycling was made easier with the e-assist bikes. One suggestions is to divide the cycling groups. Those on e bikes and those on standard bikes. Those on e bikes were always waiting for the standard cyclists to catch up. It felt like we were constantly interrupting our ride.
- Anonymous, 30/08/2024 21:03, Travelled with Friend/s
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip. Excellent exercise to work off the meals! Our guides were super, well organized, and very hospitable. Met people from all over the world. Comfortable ship, Well organized itinerary. Enjoyed the swimming, particularly on hot August days! One thing to note is that it was not clear on the website nor from the saleswoman with whom we corresponded if the "total ascent/descent" for a day is combined ascent & descent or the amount one ascends and additionally descends. It is the amount one ascends and then descends as well. For example if a day's total ascend/descend is 640 meters (as ours was listed on Day 3), that means you will climb a total of 640m and then descend a total of 640m.

The staff were all impressively friendly , helpful, knowledgeable , accommodating and extremely hard working.. The communication regarding daily rides, activities were impressive and able to be flexible when needed The other guests made the trip exceptional sharing the boat and bike rides but life experiences and stories. We are confident we made friends from around the world that we will maintain and see in the future

The guides and boat staff where welcoming and fun to be with and being with like minded people
- Peter, 11/07/2024 22:49, Travelled with Friend/s
Our bike and boat trip was everything we hoped it would be. We saw people on excursions like this ten years ago, and everyone looked like they were having so much fun, we promised ourselves we would come back and do it. We finally did it, and it certainly didn't disappoint us. The boat and crew were wonderful, and our tour guides Miranda and Andro treated us like friends coming for a visit. Loved being on the water boating from island to island, and then biking on the island gave us a chance to see so much more than just sailing.
- Gerry, 04/07/2024 13:52,
The cycle crew (Miranda and Andro) were friendly and knowledgeable giving us history and insight into all the islands we visited. We started off as strangers and left as friends - each person on board cheering on others in the group To ride through the villages was a real treat. The crew onboard the ship Emanuel were also friendly and accommodating
