At Sail Croatia, we pride ourselves on not only providing you with a fantastic time island hopping the Adriatic – but we love to keep you entertained on dry land at our destinations. We offer a wide variety of additional excursions which will extend your experience of Croatia and offer a different and exciting perspective of the ports you’ll be visiting.
The following Sail Croatia excursions can be arranged when you first arrive on your ship, and depending on availability, can even be arranged during your cruise. All excursions are payable in cash locally with the service provider – so make sure you have enough Euros before you depart!
Historical Activity Learn all about the turbulent history of this amazing Adriatic town. Discover it’s beauty and uncover the treasures of the Old Town streets and monuments in the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’. You’ll listen to stories that take you back in time as you learn about local legends and the way of life as it once was.
Educational Activity Discover the hidden secrets of filming on location, and the history behind the set of Game of Thrones. Explore the different locations around “Kings Landing”, where the famous series is filmed. This tour is suitable for real Game of Thrones fans (does not include entrance to Lovrijenac Fortress).
Historical Activity Visit one of the smallest countries in the Balkans, and take in some of the most beautiful towns on the coast; Kotor and Perast. This excursion includes transport with a van or a minibus, tour guide, local guide in Kotor, and an orientation walk in Perast. There is also the option to visit ‘Our Lady of the Rocks' island located in Perast, for an additional cost (€10 per person).
Historical Activity This tour of the island is operated by a van or a jeep and begins with an explanation of the island’s fascinating history. This tour will take you to all of the historically important sites including Vis Town, Parja ex-military tunnel, submarine tunnel Jastog, former RAF Airport, the highest peak on Vis- Hum (587m) and the town of Komiza
Adventure Activity Once you’ve had your safety briefing, start your engines and hit the trails on an off-road Buggy Safari! Get off the beaten track as you tour the vineyards and impressive coastlines.
Adventure Activity The perfect combination of adventure, sport and fun. This excursion provides an opportunity to explore the Cetina River and its magnificent canyon as you swim and jump off the rocks into the water. Each raft fits 8 people and will be accompanied with a guide and equipment.
Adventure Activity Explore secluded stone beaches by kayak with swim stops at pristine bays and secluded beaches. Discover these remote areas that are inaccessible by larger boats.
Adventure Activity Hire a bike and explore the big & small lakes of Mljet National Park! This is the best way to see it all, as you pay for 2 hours and use your bike for 4!
Adventure Activity Take in the breathtaking views of Dubrovnik Old Town as you glide through the air on a Sky Bike! Riders are securely fastened on a custom-designed bike that pedals along a state-of-the-art propulsion system, peddling their way through the skies and taking in a bird’s-eye view of Dubrovnik and its surrounding islands.
Food & Wine Activity Drop your bags onboard at 10am before joining the included Walk & Taste Tour at 10.30am. Experience Split’s vibrant foodie scene as your local guide leads you through the city’s fresh food market, sampling local specialities and discovering how food has shaped Dalmatian culture and history.
Food & Wine Activity We’ll travel inland to the stunning Stari Grad Plains to visit the Hora vineyard and farm. Enjoy a traditional peka dinner paired with four Croatian wines - Bogdanuša (a grape variety native to Hvar), Prč, Rose, and Plavac Mali - served alongside a mezze of homemade cheeses, pršut, sausages, anchovies, and olive oil.
Food & Wine Activity Visit a local olive oil producer, where you can sample premium olive oils crafted using traditional methods, and learn more about the timeless tradition of olive oil production.
Food & Wine Activity Visit a charming wine bar tucked down a quaint alley, where you can sample Korčula’s local wines paired with freshly shucked oysters from the nearby Pelješac Peninsula.
