Arriving in Split:
Upon arrival at Split Airport you’ll be greeted by our friendly transfer staff who will whisk you away to ACI Marina as a part of your included Split Airport transfer. ACI Marina is located a short 15 minute walk from Split Old Town, meaning you can explore this UNESCO World Heritage site by foot if you arrive prior to your 5pm check in time. You can find lockers conveniently located at the Split Bus Station (a 5 minute walk from Old Town), should you wish to offload your luggage before exploring. Many guests arrive prior to the check in time and stock up on groceries at a nearby supermarket.
Check in:
Once 5pm rolls around, head to the designated Sail Croatia check in desk, where you’ll be directed you to your yacht and introduced to your local skipper. After you’ve explored the nooks and crannies of your yacht or catamaran, your skipper will take you through how the vessel operates, a safety briefing and introduce you to all of the ‘need to know’ elements for the week (i.e. where you can cook your scrambled eggs in the morning, the best spot to sunbathe on deck, or where to keep your drinks ice cold).
Route Planning:
Once check in is completed, it’s time to plan your itinerary! Guests often have an idea of the destinations they would like to visit before arriving onboard, so this is the perfect opportunity to speak with your skipper about the type of experience you’re after and plan accordingly. Our skippers have an abundance of local knowledge and are experienced in tailoring routes for each groups needs. Your skipper will take into account your budget for mooring fees, weather conditions and your key destinations to plan a week you won't forget.
What to expect all day, every day:
The best thing about a Private Yacht Tour is that you decide how your days are spent! One thing is certain though, every morning you’ll wake up at a pristine location, either on a buoy surrounded by calm, azure waters, or moored at a quaint historical town, oozing with charm and friendly locals. After you’ve cooked breakfast in your fully contained onboard kitchen, your skipper will start to sail toward your next destination, whilst you take in some of the most beautiful scenery Croatia has to offer!
En route to your next destination, you’ll stop for a swim straight off the yacht. Now, we don’t mean to brag, but our skippers really do have an eye for those picturesque swim spots. You know the ones that Croatia is famous for; not a person or yacht in sight, deep, blue waters and of course, sheltered bays to ensure perfect conditions for swimming and snorkelling. Spend hours lazing on the deck, soaking up the Croatian sunshine and enjoying quality time with your family and friends. Cook lunch onboard, or head straight to the next seaside town to fend off those hunger pangs.
Once at your next destination, you’ll spend the afternoon getting lost in hidden alleyways and cobblestone streets, trying local delicacies or swimming at pristine beaches...no daily itineraries or rigid plans to follow, it’s your holiday to enjoy as you please!
Evenings will be spent sipping drinks on the back of your yacht, watching another one of Croatia’s famous sky shows as the sun dips into the sea. As evening arrives, use your skippers Croatian heritage and knowledge to your advantage and find a Konoba (a typical Croatian restaurant) in town and indulge in the best of Croatian gastronomy.
The next morning….you’ll do it all again!
