Interior & Cabins
One of the key factors of comfort on any sailing boat is the interior and cabin space. In this case, the cosiness of the shared saloon area, hallways and cabins is sure to surprise you! The Lagoon 400 S2 is designed to have a spacious interior with excellent storage and space solutions. In order to improve indoor comfort, the catamaran was designed with an intentionally high freeboard, creating its recognizable high interior and making it far more functional than the recent models.
Although four different layouts are available, the interior is usually designed to have four double cabins where eight people can enjoy the highest level of comfort, with the possibility to include two additional berths. Since the cockpit and saloon are on the same level, the cockpit can be used as a bridge living area, connected by a galley.
The saloon, which is saturated in natural light, provides the impression that you are sitting outside. It is equipped with a wide seating area, fully contained galley, the best quality wood tables and bulkheads, and a lot of storage space. Interior storage capacity gives you enough space to bring everything you need with you, so that the catamaran can indeed meet all guests' needs.
Deck Space
Lagoon 400 S2 offers a comfortably equipped helm at the port side. It is uniquely fitted with one mainsail with definite roach and one Genoa on winch with an anti-UV protection strip. The steering wheel is comfortable and easy to handle. Also, under the main seat there is a small locker for storage which comes in handy whilst steering the boat.
The sail maneuver is forwarded to the helm. Port helm on coachroof bulkhead includes engine controls, engine instrument panel, electronics area, steering wheel with chafe guard and brake, double bench, access stairway from cockpit with stainless steel banister, pocket and footrest. The biggest advantage is definitely the wide aft deck with table and spacious seating area
Performance
The Lagoon 400 S2 is a spacious, elegant and comfortable catamaran with outstanding features that ensure easy sailing and maneuvering. Apart from its appealing design, its powerful performance is guaranteed by a quite competitive, yet stable sailing speed. Powered by two 45hp engines, one in each hull and completely independent from each other, maneuvering over short distances is facilitated. Nevertheless, being a two hulled and therefore steady boat, she is also perfect for longer cruising.
The perfect balance between the exterior and interior design has ensured the most efficient performance, both in navigation and mooring. The increased height of the catamaran not only adds interior space, but also favours sailing upwind, which is, for many sailing boats or catamarans, quite a challenge.
