What are Under 39’s Yacht Tours?
Under 39’s Yacht Tours are 7 day sailing experiences that island hop along the Dalmatian Coast. Yacht Tours differ from Navigator Cruises as they operate on smaller yachts that accommodate no more than 8 guests onboard, and set sail with other yachts in a flotilla.
What are the sleeping arrangements?
Our yachts feature double and twin cabins (bunks). We reserve our twin cabins for solo travellers who will be
matched up with another independent traveller, while groups of friends sleep in double cabins. Whilst we
endeavour to bunk travellers of the same sex together, you may share your cabin with a member of the opposite
sex.
What are the yachts like?
You can choose to book either a Standard or Premier yacht on the Under 39's Yacht Tour. The best way to
imagine a Standard yacht is like a floating hostel; with twin or double bedded cabins, a self-contained
kitchen, shared toilet and shower facilities and communal lounge areas above and below deck. Premier yachts
are newer than Standard yachts, however they do have a similar layout. Premier yachts have the added benefit
of air-conditioning, modern amenities, slightly larger lounge areas and a swimming platform to dive straight
into the sea!
What currency should I bring?
Even though Croatia joined the European Union in July 2013, their currency is still the Croatian Kuna. The
best way to get Kunas is to withdraw directly from an ATM (available in most large towns, Split Airport and
Split Marina).
What is the food and drink situation?
Daily breakfast and a Skippers Lunch are included in the Under 39’s Yacht Tour. Additional food and drinks are not included, however you are able to bring your own food and drinks with you onboard. Each yacht is equipped with a self-contained kitchen, including a gas stove, fridge, oven and kettle. This allows you to cook throughout the week and pre-plan the food you’d like to eat for lunch at sea! We recommend provisioning prior to check-in and topping up your groceries throughout the week. In the evenings you'll have a wide variety of restaurants available at each town, and your Skipper will be happy to provide recommendations for dinner! If you’d prefer to sit back and relax whilst onboard, a Host / Hostess is the perfect addition to whole yacht bookings. A Host / Hostess will take care of cleaning and preparing small meals for breakfast and lunch, giving you more time to enjoy your time at sea!
Will I get to sail?
Yes! This is one of our favourite things about Under 39 Yacht Tour. Whilst your skipper will be sailing most
of the time, from time to time, the skipper may ask you to help out – sailing fourteen metres of yacht by
yourself isn’t easy – but for the most part you’ll enjoy the sound of the wind in the sails as you lay on the
ship’s deck during the day. Of course, we don’t have control over the wind, so on days when the weather
conditions aren't ripe for sailing, we’ll use our motor to make our way down the coast.
Do the yachts have air-conditioning?
Due to the compact design of sailing yachts, air-conditioning is only available in the salon area of the yacht (not in the cabins). Please note air-conditioning is only available on Premier Yachts when docked in port, due to the required electricity. Standard Yachts do not have air-conditioning.
How is an Under 39 Yacht Tour different than a Navigator Cruise?
You will be sailing onboard an 8-berth yacht rather than on a large motor cruiser. As you will be travelling
with a smaller group, you will get a more intimate experience sailing. A huge benefit of our yacht tours is
that you can bring your own food and drink onboard, which is often a more affordable option for travellers on
a budget.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Yes they are, however the towels are for indoor/shower use only – you’ll need to bring your own beach towel
for outdoors.
Can I book the whole yacht?
Absolutely. If you book a trip with eight people, you'll automatically be put on the same yacht. If you have
fewer than eight people, you'll still be together along with other like-minded travellers. If your group is
larger than eight we can divide you amongst a few of our yachts in whatever allocation you chose. Our yachts
sail side-by-side during the trip, so even if your large group is spread across multiple boats, you will be
able to see your friends regularly during swim stops, regattas, excursions and nights out. Whole yacht
bookings of 8 attract a 5% discount per person! For terms & conditions, please view our 5% Group Special here.
When does the trip start and finish?
Check in is from 2pm in ACI Split Marina, with our team ready to welcome you with a drink at 1pm! The tour ends in ACI Split Marina. We ask all our passengers to disembark by 8:30am to allow us time to clean the yacht before the next departure. Detailed directions to the marina will be emailed to you when you book your tour. If you’re unable to make it to check-in on time, you can easily catch up with your ship at your first destination. Please see FAQ: What if I can’t make the check-in time?
What if I can’t make the check-in time?
If you’re unable to arrive at your departure point for check-in, it’s easy to catch up with your ship at your first destination. Your first night will be spent in Milna, which is easily accessible via ferry from Split (30-60 minutes). You can find the ferry timetable online here. If you need assistance planning your arrival, a member of our Sales Team will be happy to help you connect the dots! We are able to provide land based transfers if required, or our Operations Team are also able to assist you on the ground with logistics.
Are there any local payments that I need to be aware of?
A local payment of 30 Euros per person is payable onboard your Under 39 Yacht Tour. This payment incorporates
port fees, fuel and tourist taxes throughout the week and is subject to change.
Will the Under 39’s Yacht Tour itinerary change?
Our number one priority is to ensure that we have safe and happy guests onboard our tours. With this in mind, we may need to change the itinerary
for a variety of reasons including weather, port availability and guest experience. In this instance, the number of swim stops may be restricted.
How Much Does It Cost to Hire a Host / Hostess?
The cost of hiring a host / hostess will depend on your departure date. If you're sailing in the low season (9 April - 15 June & 15 September to 30 November), a host / hostess will cost
£790
€910
$1,080
per week. If you're travelling outside of this period, the cost of a host / hostess will be

$1,080
